Was lured in with a friend after work by a sign claiming«free pizza tasting with a drink at the bar»…bought 4 glasses of wine and a cheese plate(at the bar) for $ 50 and never saw a slice of pizza come our way! Was also the first time I ever saw more than 10 people in the place on a weeknight. Pretty sure they all fell for the marketing scam as well.

Free glass of prosecco w/Yelp check-in, and the Gilt City deal was pretty great. Apps were good, meal was great.

Absolutely delicious! As Italian as you can get here in the US. I had lunch here today for the first time with a colleague and we were both amazed by the service and quality of food. We were welcomed by Carlotta, one of the two managers. She led us to our table and talked us through the menu. We both had an appetizer and two piadinas. Absolutely delicious. The cheese and the meat was amazing and you could tell the food was fresh and nicely prepared. The dessert selection was very broad and basically everything on that menu seemed worth trying. Definitely a 5 star lunch. I will be back for sure to try more of their food.

I have been here numerous times with friends and family members, never once were my companions were dissatisfied, in fact, everyone I brought there completely enjoyed their meals and will go back. I am a total fan of this place! My favorite dish is their prosciutto with the ball of cheese in the center and the octopus. Can’t wait to go back again.

The food is somewhere between three and four stars, exactly 3.5 stars. I wasn’t wowed, but it wasn’t bad either, I’d eat here again, but wouldn’t come out of my way for it. For starters, we had the San Daniele, which was prosciutto and burrata cheese(fresh and delicious), slightly pricey at $ 22, but it did come with a portion large enough to share among four people. We also had the eggplant parmesan, which was good. The apps were all good, the entrees were a miss. My pappardelle lamb ragu was ok, but a little bit disappointing. The pasta was too al dente and it was just very heavy, I couldn’t finish it. Had a taste of the apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and that was grood, you can’t really mess up dessert. The bottle of chianti we ordered was good. They do have good wines here, I’ve had drinks here on another occasion. Service started out ok, but also went downhill as our meal progressed. The waiter seemed impatient at first to take our order and then disappeared toward the end of the meal when we were trying to get our check. They have limited tables. I dislike the restaurant décor, it looks like bad 80’s décor that needs to be renovated, and the layout of the restaurant is so awkward, with a weird combination of low tables and high tops.

Nothing special. The highlight of the meal was a tasty cocktail. The food was average, nothing stood out. On the other hand, none of the plates were disappointing. I’m regularly in the neighborhood and I doubt that I will return.

Delicious! We loved the food and the service was fabulous. Very cozy and wonderful music. A hidden gem. The bruschetta with ricotta and pesto was delicious and the mortadella and prosciutto was fantastic quality. My fiancée had the lamb chops, which he raved about, and I had the mushroom risotto. A wonderful dinner; so much so we already made plans with another couple to return.

Underwhelmed with the food and ambiance. We ordered two pastas — they were tossed together with quality ingredients but lacked balanced flavors, and were WAY too salty. No finesse. We also ordered a cheese/cured meat antipasti. One of the cheeses was a basic parmigiano reggiano, which tasted fine but was totally out of place on the cheeseboard. The other cheese was a cheap /basic tallegio. We were WAY overcharged for that. The ambiance is awful. The over-bright lighting, poorly made wall décor and grating music choices made for an unpleasant dining experience. And the bread was old, too oily and chalky tasting. Overall, a tourist trap for wandering patrons that end up in Flatiron with nowhere to go.

2nd time here…1st time my friend treated me for birthday and I had a good impression. so I bought a voucher from travelzoo for $ 49 to try it out again. Includes 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 glass of wine. Went with a friend, and we told the waiters that we would forfeit the wines since we both have a medical condition which shouldn’t be consuming alcohol, the waiter is so nice and offered us dessert instead. The service is superb, very attentive, portion is great! The only thing is the risotto, the rice is a bit hard. I ordered the salmon entrée, it was tender and juicy(not like those dried grilled salmon I used to get), the appetizer was delicious– got the baked eggplants with mozzarella. The best is my dessert! the vanilla flan. usually I don’t expect great dessert, but this is so yummy, the flan is made with real vanilla seeds and very smooth, not overly sweet, no egg yolk, drizzled with fruit compote, with blue berries and strawberry. Our dinner ended with a full belly and satisfaction. AND, the good things is they don’t force mandatory tip on the bill.

Authentic Italian eatery with some amazing prosciutto. Many types are hand cut and eaten with focaccia and a special mild cheese served in a paper cone– never saw this before. Lots of good wines to accompany the fine prosciutto and cheese. One of my great pleasures in eating is pasta and the homemade spaghetti with cooked and raw prosciutto in a carbonara like sauce was out of this world. Very hospitable Italian hosts make you feel right at home.

Like a lot of other Unilocalers seemed to have, I too had a deal for this place. It was on Travelzoo, and I believe it was $ 95 for 4 entrees, 4 appetizers, and 4 glasses of wine or beer. Things started off smoothly. All the appetizers that we ordered were great. We ordered the San Daniele e burrata(Prosciutto San Daniele aged 16 months served with burrata cheese), parma e melone(Prosciutto di Parma aged 14 months served with cantaloupe melon), polpo grigliato alla Siciliana(grilled octopus with arugula, potato, cherry tomato, capers and olive), and caprese di bufala(buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomato and basil). The prosciutto was good — sometimes, all you taste is salt and that wasn’t the case here. The mozzarella was smooth and creamy, The octopus was perfectly grilled and went really well with the rest of the ingredients. When it came to entrees, that’s when things got a bit rocky. I went with the special of the day, which was a risotto with prosciutto and arugula. It was a little too salty, and dare I say… maybe even a little too cheesy!(normally, I’m all — there’s no such thing as too much cheese! But even this was a tad too much for me!) In addition to that, the rice tasted like it could have been cooked a bit longer. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the kitchen was just having an off day. Or maybe risotto is just not their forte. I would be willing to give them another try, just because their antipasti were so good — but probably only on another deal. Tip — check in for a free glass of prosecco!

This could well be my new favorite Italian in the city — that’s a big claim. We got a great deal on Amazon Local for 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, a bottle of wine and 2 glasses of prosecco for $ 85(I think). Sometimes restaurants are funny when you present them with a voucher from a deal site but not these guys — they were quick to offer our glasses of prosecco and even let us have any menu items we wanted even though several were slightly more than the $ value on our deal T’s & C’s. This is a relatively new restaurant set up by a great Italian couple who recently moved here, and they certainly have maintained and even exceeded the high standards of their homeland in terms of service and food quality. We started with the Octopus and the San Daniele e Buratta(Prosciutto with burrata –mozzarella stuffed with a cream cheese). The octopus was good, the San Daniele e Buratta was out of this world! Following that we had the carbonara and the lamb ragu and both were also delicious, great portion size and clearly freshly made to order. The carbonara in particular had a rich creamy sauce and a generous helping of the amazing house prosciutto. Although we were stuffed we had to make the most of our deal so we got apple crumble and a panna cotta for desert. We couldn’t finish them but would have easily if we’d had room! The décor in their is very nice although they have a lot of high tables in the back of the restaurant, I think to cater for a more casual lunch crowd. If they got rid of these they could fit more tables back there and make the place a more intimate dining spot. We felt like we had just robbed the place considering the high standard and vast quantity of food we had eaten for just $ 85. I would gladly pay full price(or even double in the case of the San Daniele e Buratta!) to go back again.

I enjoyed this restaurant! The staff was attentive and the ambiance is nice. San Daniele e Buratta(proscuitto with a ball of cheese): This proscuitto is amazing! It’s salty but not overly salty, smooth and buttery, and just melts in your mouth like meat candy. Even the cheese was so good. It was light and a nice complement to the proscuitto. Polpo Grigliato Alla Sicliana(grilled octopus): Delicious and a big portion! The octopus was grilled just right. It was so tender and easy to chew. Although, I didn’t care for the arugula under the octopus. Pappardelle Al Ragu D’agnello(pappardelle with lamb ragu): I love the pasta in this dish! The pasta was fresh, al dente, and tasted nothing like boxed pasta. The sauce I thought was just OK — like regular meat sauce. Tagliata Con Rucola e Bella Lodi(sirloin steak): Although this place is not a steak house, the steak was not bad. It was not melt in your mouth, but it still had good flavor and really liked how the cheese and steak went together. Again, I didn’t care for the arugula in this.

Was fortunate to come here for a foodie event, they have a great spot in the back of the restaurant which is perfect for private events. The cured meats are very high quality. As others have commented, the burrata with pesto is extremely fresh, you can taste the purity of the cheese. Their pasta, I dont recall the name, but it was creamy with bits of cured meat, topped with a piece of speck, fantastic! The foccacia was so perfectly salty, i had about four pieces and didnt plan on stopping. Great service. Great food, a gem in flatiron

Nice chic place, like the simple and elegant décor! The menu is priced very reasonably for a vibrant central NYC spot right off the Madison Square Park! Ordered the grilled octopus antipasta with arugula, cherry tomato and roasted potato. Have not had such nice octopus for a long time! And it’s in a nice portion! Grilled baby lamp chops with eggplant tangien and roasted potato are really nice and complemented each other for $ 24, which is awesome as most midtown price would command at least $ 30 such dish. For Bruschetta, we had the toasted bread with Salmon, this dish I don’t care much but the whole dinning experience was really pleasant with very attentive waiters! I will definitely come back to this place!

I’ve been here twice in the past few months and both times were equally as delicious. I had to try their prosciutto and their burrata which was highly recommended by the waiter. AMAZING… the prosciutto was so flavorful and the burrata was so creamy. I also had their pasta which tasted very fresh. I think I enjoyed both times so much because the restaurant was relatively quiet when I was there. I can’t stand restaurants that play loud music and I can’t have a decent conversation with my friends. To their defense, both nights that I went were bone chilling cold. Better for me though. I didn’t have to fight anyone for attention from the wait staff. WINWIN

Come with a deal and be prepared to eat! This is one of those places that you wonder how they are staying afloat and it seems like a front to launder money. The portions are huge and the restaurant was pretty empty the whole time we were there on a Friday night. We had a pulsd deal($ 79 for three courses for two with a bottle of wine up to $ 50). There are no limitations to what appetizers or entrees you can get and you just choose from the regular menu. We started with the San Daniele e Burrata(a $ 22 appetizer that we thought wouldn’t be included in our deal, but it was!). It was a huge portion of prosciutto! The burrata portion wasn’t as big, but it was delicious — creamy and delicate. We also had the grilled octopus. Another very hearty portion. The octopus was cooked nicely but could use more seasoning. For our entrees, we had the pappardella, and the goulash. The goulash was a huge portion of polenta with a few pieces of beef. The beef was dry and very rough. The pappardella pasta was handmade, but it didn’t taste very freshly made, with dried out pieces littered in the dish. The desserts were not very good. The apple strudel was full of cooked apples, raisins, and pine nuts. I wasn’t a fan. The mille foglie wasn’t much better. Mostly cream and a few strawberries with a stale puff pastry. Overall, huge portions, but the food itself is just ok. The service was average. Not a bad experience if you have a deal, but I’m not sure the regular prices are worth it.

Excelente restaurante italiano. Lo encontramos de casualidad espantados por la cantidad de gente de eataly. Muy bien ambientado, moderno, excelente calidad de productos y amabilidad de sus empleados. Sin dudas volveremos !
