So I’m a Brooklyinite (Brooklyner?! Help!!!) but I was cat-​sitting for a friend on the Upper West Side, so I obviously had to try out a new coffee shop, right?! RIGHT. This place was so dang yummy. I loved that I could order a cup of coffee and had a bunch of flavor shots to choose from, ALL at a good price. I got just a regular coffee with a vanilla flavor shot, and I was so satisfied.
The barista was very sweet too, and the atmosphere was comforting! I wish there was an Oren near my apartment!

By far my favorite Oren’s! The two guys I’ve seen working in there the most are awesome! I love the customer service I receive every time I get my iced coffee (even when it’s cold outside). Considering, this place is sort of out of my way from my commute to work, I still try to grab a cup before hitting the subway on 86! The coffee is just as awesome as the people!

Love this place. Staff are so friendly. Our go to place for coffee, chai tea and any other kind of tea. They have almond milk which is a great plus for me. This shop truly feels like a local hang out.

I love Oren’s but this is one of the weaker branches. They don’t brew the fantastic delicious coffees quite as frequently and are often out of some of the better pastries. I think they just get deliveries less often.
Regardless, fantastic drip coffee. I’ve also had the blueberry muffin (which I didn’t see at the other branches?) and it was delicious. They have reasonable prices for ground coffee as well.
Not a lot of seating so it’s a take it and go kind of place.

Tried the almond milk in my large hot vanilla latte and my oh my it was absolutely delicious. The barista was super nice and helpful and the interior was pretty hip and what you’d expect of a coffee shop around the area.

Love Oren’s! They always have a great brew of the day and the flavors are usually interesting. Their sugar free scones are pretty delicious too and so far, the staff has been nice every time I’m in there. Great place to have in the neighborhood.

Oren’s brewed coffee is now my goto dose for the morning pick me up. Their roast level tends to be between medium to dark, it lets you pick up the subtle notes from the various origins they serve up daily. Usually, the brew of the day will be from a single origin which is nice to compare from day to day.
It’s a boutique shop so there is one person taking care of EVERYTHING. The line moves along unless someone in front of you starts up on those comedic requests for «half café, skinny, double choco, triple dip frozen hot chocolates with a spritz of amaretto».

Solid coffee and tea place. It’s small, with just two stools that accompany a window bar. Staff is always friendly, but they are frequently short staffed for the amount of traffic this place sees. As a result, yesterday, I had to wait 10 minutes for a hot black tea. Great selection of coffe grounds to-​go, too.

Meh. Staff is slightly friendlier and more efficient than Starbucks, though I would argue that Starbucks coffee wins due to consistency. Oren’s flavors are in the beans, so if you don’t like the flavor (s) on offer, too bad. I wasn’t looking for some nasty blueberry syrup concoction, I was looking for vanilla in my coffee, either through pre-​flavored beans or by syrup. Is that too much to ask?
Would be three stars, but I picked up a coffee today at about 4 pm (OK, it wasn’t 8 am), and it was boiled down for sure. Only at 7 – 11 have I had worse coffee. Look — this isn’t a gas station, it’s a coffee shop — keep your brew fresh, please.

the stars were truly aligned when I came here — the flavor of the day was a hazelnut and vanilla blend! ia, ia, Cthulhu fhtagn! praise to his unholiness, my two favorite coffee flavors in one synchronized mix!
I got a small iced version of that blend. it was fantastic, as the Ninth Doctor would say. just enough of both flavors to jive with each other, tasted quite fresh, and a much needed boost of caffeine. price wasn’t too bad, just over 2 bucks, if memory serves.
they have a big selection of coffee to brew at your own house, and a decent collection of tea as well. tiny shop, but totally worth it. and they sell the equipment to make your own coffee/​tea at home, as well as some cookies and other snacks.

stopped in here yesterday for an iced coffee before heading to Carl Schurz park and wow… probably the best coffee i’ve had in a long, long time. they have numerous loose tea options as well, and some snack-​ish items that looked tasty, albeit not the most «nutritious», shall we say? one of the gals working the register was a little too unfriendly for my liking, but hell – the coffee makes up for it. PLUS, they have soy milk.
i think my large iced coffee w/​soy milk was $ 3.20, which is cheaper than starbucks (though only by a few cents, but still), so if presented with the choice (which i suppose would just be a matter of proximity), i’d totally go here instead.

Right now, all I can comment on is their iced coffee. Its good. And I’ll definitely go back there. They also have a great selection of coffee mugs, makers, teapots and gadgets. If your looking for something, its probably safe to say that they will have it.
As for the coffee and tea selections, they seem to have a lot. Most coffees are about $ 15 a lbs. That seems to be the starting price. I’m not sure about teas.
I love coffee, but I’m not sure I’d pay that much for my regular coffee to brew at home. Maybe for special occasions.

This review is 4 stars for the service alone, which is outstanding– friendly and fast.
The iced coffees are great, so much so that my husband returned for a second one approximately 20 minutes after finishing his first. We stopped in while visiting a friend on her suggestion and returned multiple times during our weekend stay. Our friend, who lives in the area, walks out of her way to stop in mornings before work, she likes it so much.
The cookies are also very good, particularly the plain short breads. Unfortunately, the café au lait wasn’t my favorite. I’d stick to lattes in the future there, as the café au lait didn’t seem to have enough milk and was a bit dark for my tastes.

Tiny little coffee shop. Love the coffee, not a fan of the lattes… and i looooove my lattes. I don’t know what it is about them, they just taste bitter every time. But I love daily roasts and I always get em with steamed milk. Fast service, knowledgable staff, and it helps that its down the block from my apt.
I also bought a ton of Christmas gifts here; a milk frother, loose leaf teas, coffee beans, etc.
