I just left Optyx and I want to let Yeloers know that this shop deserves 5 stars. 1-​* They were open on Sunday and were great with my husband and I even though we came in with only 30 min till closing. 2-*Rose was amazing finding me a perfect look and fit, I’m usually a challenging eyeglass customer. 3-*The price with my insurance better then I anticipated. 4-*When we all agreed that I should have the doctor update my prescription she made an appointment that worked for my schedule another partner shop. 5-*They didn’t pressure me to pay up front although I know they would have liked me to. The no pressure, excellent service and beautiful frames made me very confident I picked the right place. They value the customer relationship and that is priceless!

Time wasted and had a negative experience. Despite arriving early, having all docs ready, paperwork done, and there being no patient ahead of me, I was kept waiting for more than 10 minutes.
While not an egregious amount of time normally, there was nothing to explain this delay and the staff aimlessly shambled around the office uselessly while one customer was being shown glasses.
Fail.

This shop apparently doesn’t have enough respect for customers’ time or money to give a clear answer when asked what their price is for a simple annual exam.
They claim that you «need to come in», which is totally false. The truth is that in a matter of seconds an optometrist accepting insurance can look it up on their computers if you give them your insurer’s name + some basic info about the primary insured person (name, date of birth, etc.).
This deceptive, manipulative approach to customer service is unacceptable. I will not be patronizing this shop.
On the positive side, their poor approach to customer service was made clear up front, so I didn’t waste much time or any money with this place… so I appreciate the «efficiency» on that front!

Came here for an eye exam for contact lenses and glasses. My friend recommended this place. Dr P was fantastic. Ron helped me pick out glasses– which I get lots of compliments on them. The entire experience was very easy, professional and enjoyable. Clean and modern. It has a very neighborhood feel. I will definitely be back and highly recommend coming here for all your eye care needs.

I haven’t gotten my eyes checked in years, and so came in very last minute for an eye exam and to pick out new frames. Not only was the optometrist patient and professional, but she was very thorough with her exam and double checked everything to make sure it was right. In addition, the salesperson really went above and beyond to accommodate my insurance and my price range. It ended up being more than I would’ve liked, but, I am used to paying a lot because of my tricky prescription. The selection was decent and the quality of the frames was excellent. I am definitely going to be returning.

STAY AWAY!!! Two months ago i gave Ron an order for 4 pairs of glasses at over $ 4000.00. Today I have only one pair. I have visited shop numerous times only to find they had another issue. I cancelled all glasses on Monday July 1. And now they can not give me a refund Looks lie a visit to the courts. Stay away from this one

My husband and I went to Optyx only once, in December 2011, for the last eye exam and glasses we could afford before we ran out of health insurance. Dr. Karen Perekalsky gave us eye exams and good advice – in my case she corrected an eyeglasses prescription that was too strong for me, and suggested some follow-​up tests I might want to have done (once I had insurance again), for some issues that she thought might be a concern. In his case she suggested an improved type of contact lenses that he did think were better, after trying them. We were both happy with her communication skills, which were excellent.
A few months ago I had some problems with my eyes, and I called her to ask for copies of my records. She not only faxed me the records immediately, and explained to me again what her concerns had been, but remembered who both of us were, and asked me about our move to Virginia, and our new jobs. I wish that every doctor I encounter would be as caring!

I purchased my eye glasses 2 years ago from them, At the time the sales service was excellent. There was an issue 18 months later with the coating, which they «made good on.» Recently I feel asleep in the glasses and the frame got bent. Ron went above and beyond my expectations to get them fixed promptly and at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend them

I had a great experience at Optyx. First of all, I hate things near, on, or around my eyeball. Dr. Perekalsky made me feel super at ease. She had a great sense of humor, and explained everything she was doing during my exam so I could understand. After the exam, Kaitlyn, (I think thats her name) helped me pick out an awesome pair of Oliver People’s, that i lloooovvveee! Best of all, I can now see great! I had a great experience here, and tell everyone to come.

I was told my glasses will be ready at Wednesday evening and that Wednesday evening they were not ready. I was told Elana that they would be delivered later on Wednesday night and I can pick them up on Thursday morning at 10am. I went at 10 o’clock am and I was told it had not been delivered yet causing me to waste a taxi ride and a lot of time making me late for my classes. A simple phone call from them letting me know the glasses had not arrived last night would have saved me a 1 hour wasted trip. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

A decent shop for glasses. Was very happy with their range and selection for a recent prescription sunglasses purchase. The salesperson was pleasant and attentive though he was a bit too eager to agree with me whereas I would have preferred some critical judgment from him. Glasses were delivered on time as promised. Prices were relatively high, though what one would expect from a local, full service shop. I would go back because of their selection. Happy with purchase and service.

Great selection, and really great service. Sean who helped me out here was very very honest and helpful. I am a really picky on eyeglasses, had been waiting for 3 years to buy another pair, but nothing caught my eye as a great fit. I found a pair here, and I’d highly recommend you check out the selection.
