Is the girl below joking? Everyone in the neighborhood hates the staff. Only one named Junya is Sooooo sweet ! Literally everyone else looks so mad at the world and as if they hate their job. One girl with blonde dreads threw money at me. I walked away before i caused a seen. I used to work in retail and been to many starbucks locations but this one is disgusting. Change your staff!

Awful. How hard is it to make a dry cappuccino? I consistently get a latte instead and this last time, the barista argued with me about it bc he didn’t want to remake it as there was long line. I’m sorry it is more time consuming to make foam and spoon it into the cup instead of simply pouring warm milk, but don’t pretend you are serving me what I paid for.

Cashier was friendly but when the employee was informed that we had ordered Fraps and a green tea lemonade he started complaining and started whispering with another employee, when we got out items, nothing taste like it usually does, flavors where off. Absolutely never returning to this shop.

Hit my 2 pain points. 1. Guy gives wrong change. I paid with a $ 5 note. Guy says I paid $ 4 because that’s what he put in cash register. You can’t argue because it is a he said she said situation. 2. Latte tasted like warm milk. Ugh.

I found this Starbucks to be delightful. I’m often running errands in this neighborhood and usually go to the one on 81st, but I found myself on 88th and decided to try this one out. The staff were friendly and attentive. I love the multi-tiered seating. The only downside is that they have a coded lock on the bathroom… what gives Starbucks? I thought you were more welcoming than that! One star off!

Rude staff and slow service. They messed up my drink and then behaved as if I was at fault. No reason to come back given the plethora of coffee options nearby with good service. The seating area is quite nice and there is wifi.

I was second in line and it took me 15 minutes to get my espresso. I know, I know, the world’s smallest violin is playing for me, but please, please get these guys some help. There’s only one guy and he’s drowning in whipped cream girly drinks. Come on, those sugary concoctions are like science experiments and they take precise, time consuming measurements. One more barrista please Starbucks on Broadway and 87th St. I can’t be held accountable for my actions when I need my espresso!

I ordered my usual Trenta toffee nut iced coffee w/Washington Apple pound cake. There was about 6 people waiting for they drinks and only 1 barista, she was clearly overwhelmed. The venti iced coffee she was making overfilled and spilled all over so she then reached over and gave the lady my trenta cup I saw Judy make. «excuse I think that’s mine, it has my name on it»(by this time the lady is at the bar adding sweetener to the drink she was given), she then asked the lady if she order a trenta size and she said no brought it back over to the barista who then slides it in front of me and says here… «Is it possible to get a new drink please she opened it and was speaking over the drink» she gave me this nasty look and started slamming and banging thing around while she made the lady and my drink over. I adding a lil cream to my drink and I hear her saying to the lady how I so rude and stupid for not wanting the drink because she handled it… it made so sick and upset to hear this because I wasn’t rude or didn’t raise my voice, I couldn’t even drink my coffee, I gave it to a homeless guy on the corner…

Staff is always friendly, but not family friendly like some Starbucks. They don’t ask your name for the drink so they auction it off like a fast food restaurant. Upstairs seating is the best part. Bathroom is almost reasonable. Could be better. Great location for stopping in before walking over to Central Park. Nice vibe in this place. You can leave your laptop unattended for a few minutes while you run out to your car or go outside to take a call.

If you’re in a hurry don’t come here. If you are easily irritated by long lines and slow ambivalent customer service, don’t come here. I’ve had this experience every time I come here(at least they’re consistent). I only come because I live around the corner. Today I had a free coffee coming to me … ordered a Grande Dark($ 2) and a Chai($ 4). The guy credits me $ 2 for the regular coffee. I said to him«really?» «Ah, ya think I could get that Chai for free instead of the regular coffee?» He spent the next 2 minutes trying to figure out how to credit back the $ 2 and take the $ 4 off. Total elapsed time to get the hell out with 2 cups off coffee … 15 minutes.

This location is more expensive than Boston locations(ok, it’s NYC) and the drinks I have had here were pretty weak. The service is slow, although they seem to always be on top of things and get orders right. It’s a bit of a weird lay out, as people are always standing in front of the bathrooms while waiting for drinks and in others’ ways.

This is a great location! There’s ample upstairs seating, comfortable chairs and great baristas. The place is comfortable and welcoming… and there’s really not much to complain about.
