The wine I had was so smooth and tasty. Cabernet Franc. The fried calamari and chicken wings were cooked to perfection and did not taste pretty cooked. And my steak was absolutely divine! So tender and juicy! It lived up yo the expectation of touristy restaurant cusine.

The food and service was very good. Get the brussels sprouts! The atmosphere left a lot to be desired. We were seated at a table which in theory had a wonderful view, however the view was diminished from the glare of the massive circle of televisions on the observation deck below. What made it worse was the person giving a presentation over a microphone below. The space was not well planned at all. It also didn’t sit well that you need to purchase tickets to eat in the restaurant. Build it into the price of the meal!

One Dine will not disappoint — reserve a table at sunset to watch the city’s lights come alive! It is a must visit for anyone who enjoys Seeing Forever! Our dinners were delivered within a reasonable timeframe from ordering. The Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked to order and seasoned exceptionally well. The Flank Steak salad was just as delectable! Wine options compliment the menu and are reasonably priced for the venue. The Salted Caramel, Pistachio gelatos were creamy and wonderful as was the strawberry sorbet — perfect dessert to top off an enjoyable dinner. The wait staff is incredibly attentive. An amazing venue where memories are made!

The expectation is very different from reality, the food is disgusting and not worth the money. The overall look and feel compared to the website is a very mid budget Airport Lounge, very awkward and like you are a guest at a friend of a friend’s intimate event. Firstly, it’s is an arduous affair getting to the resturant. If you like us are visiting resturant as the main attraction, you want a nice easy experience getting there. That doesn’t matter here, you have to be part of the tourist flow and feel like you are being treated like you are wearing a fanny pack, I love NY shirt and carrying DSLR. Even when you tell the staff«I just want to go straight to the resturant». That being said when you sit down in the resturant the view is mind blowing, and Stefano C our server was amazing, he really went above and beyond and is an asset to this place. We ordered a beer, a cocktail and the crispy pork as a starter, a great way to start our lunch. We then ordered the Salmon and the Pasta as main courses. We had to send it, the Salmon was stinky, chewy and the Pasta was just very bland even though both were presented well. Neither tasted like it should for the price tag, we’ve dined in some top restaurants in New York and nobody should pay these prices for this level of food. After sending the food back we chose to get more crispy pork instead and another round of drinks, then finished with the chocolate crème brule and two espressos. All I can say is vist the resturant, get a drink a starter and a desert. Nothing more. The menu has a confusing cuisine, isn’t really good and is pricy. Spend money on caffe storico, ABC kitchen or somewhere along those lines.

Not sure why but think I this place has a bad rep on Unilocal.I made reservations for my birthday in December and was a little hesitant after reading reviews. However this place really impressed me, considering all the bad reviews I read. My birthday ended up being a day of zero visibility so I wouldn’t be able to have a view with my meal. So I rescheduled since there is no real point in eating at the top of the freedom tower, if you’re just going to stare at clouds the entire time. I called them to reschedule and they told me I had to call back a month in advanced and it was too early. The woman on the phone said she would put me down in the system anyway but I would have to call back when it was 30 days or less in advanced. Well, I forgot to call and showed up in January for my reservation hoping they would still take me. I also arrived with an extra member to my party and a hour and a half early for my original reservation time. I was prepared to argue my point but the hostess was very gracious and gave me no trouble. She seated me right away and said my extra friend was not a problem. I was shocked at how hassle free it was, and very pleased. From then on, the experience only got better. The service was excellent and fast. Food was delectable! I got the bbq wings and kale salad; I also ordered a mocktail and asked if they could add liquor to it. They did it with no problem. I also had the chocolate crème brûlée which was out of this world! All together, my bill was 60 bucks for two appetizers, a cocktail, and dessert(and that was including gratuity). Not bad at all! For people complaining about this place being pricey, you have to expect higher prices given the location, view, and the fact that it’s Manhattan. As for the noise level that everyone was talking about, I understand if you’re looking for a quiet, intimate place to have a nice meal. This wasn’t exactly that since there was someone giving a presentation at the observation deck for the last half of our dining experience. However, that didn’t bother my party since we’re all in our 20s and used to going to places with very loud atmospheres. All in all, I would totally recommend this place.

Expensive elevator ride, multiple efforts by various observation staff to up-sell along the way. Once seated, we soon realized the restaurant overlooks the main observation level. Directly below is a tour guide with a microphone screaming about all the tourist attractions. He never stopped. There are no tables that are quiet. The food and service are actually pretty good. It is so unfortunate they created a «fine dining» experience where the diners have no way to get away from the constant droning. At times I couldn’t hear my dining companion. Great view though…

One Dine is a must for anyone visiting NYC as well as New Yorkers! Despite the tourist attraction aspect of One WTC, this restaurant did not feel that way in the slightest. No surprise the place had phenomenal views, but the food was equally incredible and servers very friendly. We ordered a bunch of small plates and everything was delicious! I recommend the brussels sprouts and the cauliflower soup(daily soup). Great cocktails offerings too in addition to a decent wine list!

Oh, honey, no… NO! It’s so bad, Now that it is here, it can never be better now. It can never be NOW, what it should have been when planned and built. Oh, it makes me sad to know what it COULD have been. What it WAS up there so long ago in the past. The best thing I can tell you all is this… now make sure you follow these instructions carefully… Sure! Go on up and look at the fantastic view, but DON’T bother to eat at ONEDINE or at ONECAFE as that is a terrible place to eat also. BOTTOMLINE avoid everything to eat and drink up there. Bring a snickers to eat while loving the view, throw the wrapper in a trash can, then, go back down to the street and find REAL New York Restaurants to eat and drink at. Give your money to places that really deserve it. Please… for the good of all that is human!

The description of this place online is NOT what it actually is. This is not fine dining. I will say that the service was impeccable. Our server obviously was well-versed in formal dining etiquette and service. The food was good we had the calamari, the shaved and dressed vegetables, and the market plate of the day. Which was scallops. First, the ambience and atmosphere was GREATLY lacking in class and anything even close to fine dining. It’s like they started off good and then ran out of money to complete proper construction. Having experienced fine dining on quite a few times, I’m pretty sure of a few things: 1. A dress code is required. This means men wear a coat and tie, and women put on something that you would wear to church. Neither of these include jeans, tennis shoes, or windbreakers. 2. On a fine dining menu hamburger with or without cheese and/or a chicken sandwich are not found anywhere with the exception of the kids menu. And if this a true fine dining experience you should have probably gotten a babysitter. The assemble I was wearing was not going to allow for the order of a sandwich of ANYKIND. 3. And I believe this was what put myself and my best friend(who we traveled from Texas for her birthday) over the edge if you will… there was simply an open section that I’m pretty sure started out planning to be closed off.(See also construction flaws mentioned above). Through this gaping hole we proceeded to hear the tour guide’s story about some relative selling hot dogs for a living 3 times during our meal. Once again, our service and food were excellent but the over all brought down significantly by the atmosphere. We spoke with the manager, who was very nice. You kind of get the feeling that the patrons were not the only victims of this bait and switch.

We went to One World Trade Center Observatory with our friends from Russia and felt hungry. We decided to give a try to One Dine. We were seated right away next to the window with amazing view. Server suggested great drinks and food was delicious! Great food, drinks, atmosphere, view and service. Five stars.

Unfortunately, I had a really bad meal here. My boyfriend and his daughter treated me to lunch for my birthday yesterday, and I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. When it showed up, it was medium well. No pink at all. My boyfriend’s ribeye was perfect. His daughter’s scallops were rubbery, and her plate went unfinished. The waiter was pleasant, but by the time he got back to our table, both my boyfriend and his daughter were nearly finished with their plates. The waiter offered to replace my meal, but I didn’t want to eat alone. Then he offered me a free dessert or drink. At that point, I didn’t really care, but the rest of the table felt bad because it was supposed to be my birthday celebration, so I agreed to dessert. The waiter delivered a chocolate crème brûlée that looked amazing, but under that delicious crackly shell of sugar, the custard was like soup. Great flavor, but it was really just chocolate soup, hot on one side, cold on the other. And I appreciate that we were given three spoons to eat it with, but one subpar dessert with three spoons doesn’t make up for the lackluster meal.

The view is great. We had calamari that had no flavor and they have us ½ the sauce we needed Waited 10 minutes for service greeting and the food came before the calamari I had the«one white» wine which was crisp and nice. Hubby had queens brewery lager which was good — had a bit to it Server scarce(too many tables) but friendly Overpriced everything but that is expected up here on top of the world

The one star is for the view and the darling server. There are no words to convey how bad the food is here. But let me think of some that pop in mind: Gray Tasteless Microwaves Stale I’m pretty sure I haven’t ever had food this bad.(Aside from the drunken stop at 7 – 11 for a microwaved burger at 2am when I was 22.) My friend had the Steak Frites but had no idea what she was truly eating. It didn’t seem like steak. My boyfriend and i had the cheeseburger, I think my feelings are already clear. It looked like a day old cheeseburger from a diner that had been re-heated and tasted the same. The«torn» potatoes were simply small potatoes quartered and baked with no salt or seasoning. The wings were dry but hands down the best of a worst lot. They were still bad. Long and short. JUSTDON’T! Go to the observatory and then eat at any one of the amazing places downstairs by the Atrium.(Le District has a handful and P.J. Harvey’s is right there).

I just got home from dinner here with my dad. He’s visiting from out of town, so we were planning to check out the Observatory anyway, but it’s ridiculous that there is no option to go straight up to the restaurant. So a minimum of $ 32 for a cover charge and $ 84 pre-fixe menu– I’m not unaccustomed to paying that(or more) for fine dining, but let’s say I was sorely disappointed. If I am paying $ 116 per person, I would expect not to deal with the absurd amount of noise filling the dining room from the observation deck below. The cacophony from the«City Pulse» announcer mixed with the hundreds of visitors talking, laughing, and yelling below completely ruined the atmosphere. It was difficult to carry on a conversation. I can’t imagine how I’d feel if I had brought a date there. Did ANYONE test this out before they opened it? Why the hell isn’t there a floor-to-ceiling glass partition to keep the noise out? The dining area is also very poorly planned. Again, the price adds insult to injury– I paid $ 84 on top of what everyone else down below us paid, and yet all the tables are at least 20 feet from any windows, and half of the«360° views» are blocked by the kitchen. Why in the world is the restaurant not on a floor entirely on its own, with the kitchen on its own as well? That would also eliminate the carnival noise from below. The other reviews say the service was great. I’m sad I didn’t experience that. My waiter was rude and inattentive. My father and I both ordered the filet, him medium and mine medium-rare. His came out medium-well, and mine somehow came out nearly well-done. Really. A restaurant that charges $ 107 per person and sits atop the tallest building in the western hemisphere should be able to handle cooking a steak. When the waiter finally returned(we had to flag him down– no one ever checked on us without us asking for attention), I said«excuse me, this is very much overcooked» he took it from me and just said«okay.» TWENTY minutes later(after my father had basically finished his meal) my steak finally arrives. No one ever apologized. NOONE. Also, did I mention– EIGHTEENPERCENTGRATUITYINCLUDED. No wonder my waiter was so rude. He literally did not care. He didn’t have to. I do not see a reason why I would ever return or recommend this place to anyone I know. I never visited Windows on the World, but from what I hear this is nowhere near close to that experience. The whole One World Observatory was a cheesy theme park experience that will be extremely dated in less than five years. Obviously a cash cow by the developers with absolutely no respect given to the memory of the old buildings or the visitors who patronize the new space. I feel cheated and so will you. The views were amazing(on the floor below, at least) and the steak was actually quite good, the second time they brought it out. Sadly not enough to make up for the ripoff of the restaurant. Someone should fix this.

A wonderful gourmet meal with great service spoiled by carnival noise from observation floor open below. Restaurant needs to use floor to ceiling glass to seal out noise. Forcing one to pay 35 a person to go thru observation for a 100 a person meal is a further error. why not a dedicated elevator to restaurant? Poorly planned Hopefully this is fixed. I really missed windows on the world The view is wonderful breath taking

I never had the chance to experience Windows On The World, and hoped that One Dine would be a suitable substitute. It is not. First, the positives: The food was excellent. I had the 8 oz. filet medium rare which was succulent and flavorful and paired nicely with the exclusive One Red house wine. The gelato for desert was rich and creamy and provided a sweet ending to the meal. The serving staff was courteous, friendly, and attentive. Now, the negatives: You cannot access the restaurant or the bar without paying $ 32 for the observatory ticket. The extremely limited menu is prix fixe at $ 75, so you have paid $ 107 for the pleasure of eating there already without tax, tip, or drinks. The design of the restaurant is ghastly. Instead of taking up an entire floor from window to window, the dining area is separated from the view by a large open space overlooking the observatory deck below. Instead of breathtaking views of the greater NYC area, your meal is accompanied by the din of loud tourists, shrieking infants, and worst of all the non-stop PA address of the multimedia«CityPulse» show about how awesome NYC is. One of the very bright LCD screen installations is directly below the dining room and impossible to ignore. I was looking forward to eating here at the top of the world and I tried to make the most of the experience, but these primary negatives are too egregious to overlook. I do not regret my visit, but I cannot see myself ever going back. I realize that the restaurant is very new — it only opened in May and it doesn’t even have a proper website yet — so maybe there is a chance for it to improve itself. Two changes I can recommend are as follows: 1) Provide some type of dining-only access to the top floor, or provide people with dinner reservations with a credit toward their meal or bar tab to compensate for the admission price. 2) Move the CityPulse display somewhere else — anywhere else. There are several installations on other corners of the observatory deck; aren’t they enough? I think these two changes would vastly improve the experience. They would increase my rating from 2 stars to 4, and would make One Dine a much more attractive venue for repeat customers.

Jun 16, 2015 «See Forever» Let me begin by saying that the food was amazing… every morsel eaten was delectable. However, it did not earn the 5 stars because there were some drawbacks. Cons: 1. You can hear EVERYTHING that is going on in the observatory… especially the annoying«show» City Pulse. When you are paying $ 32 to get up to the restaurant(I had been up to the observatory prior to its opening during the preview) and a prix fixe of $ 75(before drinks) the last thing you want is to be a part of the noise that is going on below you… including crying and whining children! Something MUST be done, as the City Pulse«wheel» seems to be directly under the restaurant– or so it seemed from the noise. It’s as if you are at a carnival when you are trying to enjoy the food and conversation. Ugh. 2. No city tap water? Really? Saratoga big blue bottles that kept on being poured(I didn’t see the bill, so I have no idea how much it cost to drink water that should be available to those of us who had to drive home from the evening. Perhaps it was gratis– I am not sure, but I have never been to a restaurant in the world that you can’t request tap water– and I do travel and enjoy fine dining). 3. Vegetarian option– poor choice– one selection– For someone who doesn’t eat fish, meat or fowl, the selection offered should be on par with the food offered to everyone else(steak, chops, etc). Vegetables over spinach doesn’t appeal to me when it costs so much, 4. The menu is not available online– although my friend who booked the reservation said he saw a menu and it had all sorts of entrees and salads that could be ordered a la carte– the waiter said the only food offered is prix fixe. 5. You MUST pay the entrance fee of $ 32 per person– Having been fortunate to have dined at Windows on the World many times, it seems crazy that you need to pay an additional $ 32 to dine. Maybe figure out a way to give a partial credit so that people who just want to dine don’t have to pay $ 107 without even having a drink? 6. Gluten free? Yikes! My friend can not eat anything with gluten and wanted the steak tartare appetizer that came with toast points– however, there wasn’t a gluten free option for him to have.(limited storage and the difficulty of bringing food up was offered as a reason for the limited selection) Pros: 1. Food was amazing– no question about it. The prixe fixe included a starter, a main entrée and dessert. After going back and forth with our waiter about my vegetarian choices, I asked if I could have 2 starters as my meal plus a corn cake that was offered as part of one of the dinner selection. After going to inquire, he said that would be fine. Phew… I felt relieved as the starters sounded great– and a lot better than veggies over spinach or risotto. a. Spinach salad with fresh strawberries was very good. b. My 2 choices for my main meal were tasty and beautifully plated. The corn cake turned out to be pollenta, which was rich, creamy and everyone at the table(7 plus me) agreed it was the hit of the evening. c. Chocolate hazelnut torte was a creamy almost mousse like dessert with a dark chocolate covering. it was served with chocolate gelato(?) or was it ice cream(?) which looked a bit like, well, see the picture and see what I mean. Regardless, it was eaten and loved. d. Everyone at the table had something for dinner that they each loved. The steak and chops were delicious they said– the cheesecake was a tiny portion and was just ok. The sorbet and gelato were good they said– but I think the winner dessert was the torte that I had. e. Our waiter(Josh) began the evening with a bit of an attitude about our dietary concerns and questions, but he turned out to be great once he began serving the meal and seeing how happy everyone was. f. The view is amazing– we were there as the sun was setting and it was breathtaking. On a clear day– you can almost see forever! I do need to say that we had a 5 pm reservation– so perhaps if one dines later in the evening, the crying children might not be something to worry about– although I imagine that the«show» goes on all night. I would return if I had out of town guests who wanted to see the observatory– but would only return to dine if they«do» something about the admission fee being additional to dining. I also noted on the website that they won’t take a reservation for more than 8 persons so I am not sure if it is good for larger groups.
