This place has dropped off dramatically. Veggie salad was filled with unpeeled zucchini and under cooked squash. The tuna tartare had a very strong fish flavor and not in a good way. The chicken empanadas were excellent. The rigatoni bolenese was no better than Olive Garden. The skirt steak which should be their signature item was just OK and quite a small portion. Overall not a place to travel to nor return

A fun little restaurant with an Argentinian flare. Started the meal off with some tasty empanadas for appetizers. Ham and cheese and chicken. Very tasty and perfect for sharing. The servers were very friendly and attentive and filled our water glasses whenever they were getting low. Something I must admit I love. I hate having to ask for more water The four cheese ravioli was so good in the creamy Parmesan sauce and the ribeye steak was huge and cooked a perfect medium rare. There was a little more fat on the steak than we would have liked to seen but overall excellent. The bar had a couple of tvs airing sports and there’s a big projection screen at the back that had a soccer match on. Overall a great place to eat and the portions were worth the money in what can be an overpriced Soho area. The tvs didn’t make it super romantic but still a great date place or even for a family gathering.

I had a very nice dinner here with some work colleagues. I arrived early so had a glass of wine at the bar. Both bartenders were extremely nice, friendly and welcoming which was much needed after a long and rainy work day. Once my fellow dinners arrived we were seated at our table and were quickly greeted by our waiter. The drinks came quickly and the food did as well. I had the branzino which thankfully came without the head(i asked first just in case!) and it was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and well cooked. All of the specials looked really good too, so I will certainly be back to try some more dishes.

The steak here is absolutely amazing! The staff is friendly and catering, not pushy which I appreciate. The eggplant dip served with the bread is much better than any kind of butter, you will want to dip everything in it! Besides the steak, the grilled vegetable salad is a favorite of mine as well. I have had many dishes here, all delicious, but the steak is incomparable! Worth every penny, and a very nice place for a date :)

oh my yes!!! i was not expecting this place to be so amazingly delicious! from the moment we entered, the hostess found us the best available seat(the place was packed but he gave us a few options) the soccer game was on so it was a lively group of diners. we just happened to be walking down broadway, originally to il mulino but my feet were hurting so i suggested we just eat here! thanks feet! i started with the tuna tartare(of course) which was slightly warm and fully delicious! followed by the branzino with mash and spinach. wow! i’m actually eating most it now for lunch because the chimichurri chicken my friend was having stole my heart too! i had to make a choice so since i couldn’t take his food to go, i ate his and bagged mine! needless to say, he left hungry and i left in a coma. wait, i forgot to mention the bread and spreadable herb flavored butter! just do your feet a favor and stop here!(10.8.15;9p)

I stopped by this café for a solo lunch. I ordered from their set menu. Lovely caprese salad, great burger and fries and a mouth watering crêpe. I had to send the burger back to be more thoroughly cooked but they were quick to deal with it.(I’d asked for medium to medium rare — it was pretty under done.) I had a lovely lunch. Recommend.

Food was decent– ordered the eggs, nothing bad, but not too memorable either.

I used to work in Soho and we always ended up here for lunch or after work. The empanadas are delicious and so are many of the other appetizers. I have never really eaten a meal here but the salads at lunch time were always a hit. I love their white sangaria. If you go during happy hour it is buy one get one which works out to be a pretty solid deal. I don’t get back here often but it is definitely a place I recommend to anyone who is in the area.

Firstly I must mention to you that my friends and I, we like trying new cuisines, so we decided to go to this restaurant for the food and the wine. The food was cold, the service was absolutely disappointing, Julissa the manager(she doesn’t even deserve to be call a manager) lied to us just to get us inside. She was rude, not very friendly and had the nerve to ask for the table in the middle of eating our meal, AND on top of that she decided to add the tip — UNACCEPTABLE!!! In conclusion the whole experience was not good, I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don’t recommend this restaurant, not even to my worst enemy.

This place is the worst. We called to make a reservation for the argentina vs Colombia game and we were told it was first come first served. We got There and we are told is all booked But if people are 10 mins late the table is ours. We sat at 630 and the game started at 730. At 8 we are told that we have to give the table up. Julissa who is in one of these pictures is a manager? I want to throw up. She has the worst people skills I’ve ever come across. She was nasty and rude to our group. She wanted us to get up and then wait for the bill to come. Wth? The food was disgusting as well. We only stayed bc we wanted to watch the game. My wine glass had lipstick and nobody apologized but guess what? They had the audacity to include the tip In our bill for a group of 3! never again. Disgusting

Just had a private event this past weekend at the private dining area upstairs. Absolutely loved the food(especially the chicken empanadas);) Beto and Julissa were amazing! Will come back over and over again. Great cocktails and happy hour and a great space for a dinner or cocktail party! Absolutely blew us away! Gissel

I’ve been here almost a hand full of times but today just did it for me. Great Argentina restaurant located in soho. First and foremost, this place looks small but don’t let that fool you they also have a second floor. This place is family friendly, great for small/large parties, and hands down an amazing place for date night. Who doesn’t love date nights?! Novecento is casual yet offers a cozy/relaxed ambiance. Service was top notch! My table and I were taken care of by Julissa, she’s the manager of Novecento and also helps serve on the floor. I can assure that she will NOT disappoint you! Now for the good stuff we ordered: –Mixed empanada plate(beef, chicken, cheese/ham, cheese/spinach) –Mixed Argentine meat platter(steak, chicken, sausage) –Tuna Tartar –Bronzino fish fillet –3oz steak served w/3 sides.(Tuesday special) Everything was phenomenal cooked to perfection! Would I return? Omg yes, I can’t get enough of those dang empanadas!

Amazing service! Terrific food! I love meat, so this place is one of my fav ones. Tasty salads, meat so perfectly cooked. Good wine, I love Soho, so this one is one of the best one in the neighborhood. I cannot wait to go back soon!

Really good empanadas, and at two for $ 8 a pretty good deal, too. Ordered fries on the side and they were tasty. Appreciated the open air atmosphere and attentive service. Felt like I was in Europe, ermmm or I guess Argentina.

Entraña(skirt steak) with chimichurri and mashed potatoes is consistently excellent. Paired with a nice Malbec and followed by the dulce de leche crepes flambé and you’ll be glad you went. Great ambience and a super location as well.

NOTGOOD. I ordered the salmon today and it was B-A-D. You could tell it hasn’t been cleaned well and tasted like it. The mangos in the mango mojo were not nearly ripe and were thus bitter bricks. I couldn’t even finish it. The one positive was the instant mashed potatoes. Will NOT be going back.

Un restaurant argentin en plein New-York, parfait pour une bonne Milanesa parfaitement réussie. Dommage qu’on n’y propose pas de Quilmes, le dépaysement aurait été total. Service impeccable.

Great ambiance and seating designed for people watching(if you’re by the entrance). I thoroughly enjoyed the beef empanada, the ceviche, the skirt steak and flan for dessert. Good wine selection. Service was excellent too!

Long piece of hair on my omelette. Dirty cloth napkins. No recognition or apology from the manager or waiter. Burnt French toast(see picture) Hard yolk on a poached egg Benedict(see picture) Lackluster attitude of the entire staff. Brunch took 30+ minutes to come out. They did end up taking off my omelette and have us an additional 10% off the entire bill — for that I gave one more star.
