I’ve been here once and it’s opened my eyes to the market table concept. Granted, I’m a little behind the times on most everything, but this stye of dining should be everywhere. While entertaining a couple of friends I relied on Unilocal to find me natural foods at a fair to moderate price, and used the reviews of Nourish to get us there. The food was phenomenal, every bit of it. My out of town friends were quite impressed, and New York looked every bit its awesome self thanks to the availability of this kind of food. Since there isn’t a waiter or a bar, and there isn’t much seating to begin with, this obviously is not the kind of place that meets its margins through customer turnover. You won’t have some waiter rushing you through your meal so they can turn the table. No, this wonderful little place makes its money by simply focusing on the quality of the food. What a concept, right? This is not a great place for a large group outing. It’s more for a quick stop off for some really quality and well… nourishing eats. If you’re heading to the movies nearby soon and only have about thirty minutes to spare, don’t bother grabbing pizza or fast food; go to Nourish Kitchen + Table and make your insides happy as can be. NOTE: While you don’t have an actual waiter, the people serving you are also the people making your food. Some sort of tip is a good way to go, I’m just not sure yet what the custom should be at a place with this style of service. Any thoughts?

Convenient, always fresh and delicious! Great healthy food with a great variety. Sweet potato noodles are my favorite. My favorite place in the city

I passed this place last year and immediately wanted to try it. The attention to aesthetic detail is impressive — they make the best of a tiny space. Even the bathroom(which is adjacent to the tiny kitchen) is tastefully decorated. Although the choices can seem confusing at first, the food speaks for itself. So many great, healthy options that are also delicious! There is a very small seating area, and also a lovely window seat. I loved the cauliflower and chicken dishes. I want to come back and try their vegan desserts #becauselactoseintolerant. The food is definitely not cheap, but the ambience makes for a lovely daytime indulgence.

The winter grain bowl was delicious. The lemon mint barley was perfect. The sweet potato was just okay, but the rest of the components were wonderful. It was a clean, healthy, and delicious lunch. I sat at the counter and watched the cook prepare it, which was enjoyable as well. The lemon ginger steamer was nice and spicy, but not as hot(temperature wise) as I would have liked. Everything looked great and I had a hard time deciding on the grain bowl, so I will definitely be back to try out more of their offerings.

Food is amazing and made in house. Service is great. Atmosphere is cozy and quaint and very nice but seating is limited so don’t bring a big crowd. One of my favorite places for brunch thus far.

Lovely little spot tucked away made my day with a delicious kale salad and sweet potato noodles with edamame. Both vegan, both gluten free, both super refreshing on a hot summer day. I cheated on my diet to have two tiny vegan brownie bites — yummmmm. Friendly service and cute atmosphere. If I stumble back in this neighborhood again I’ll be back.

4.5 stars. I really want to give it 5… but it would need to be utterly sublime for me to do that. It was close, though. Nourish is a perfect example of how healthy does not need to mean boring. The preparations here are creative, interesting and of course, delicious. For some reason, I thought that Nourish Kitchen + Table was more of a sit-down place before actually eating there. But I’d say that it’s definitely more kitchen than table. To elaborate: this place is pretty tiny and seating comes at a premium. I came here last night and managed to find a table with a friend, but there’s not much room to camp out. It’s designed to be more of a grab-and-go type place(they have to-go containers in multiple different sizes). That said, they will absolutely accommodate you if you decide to stay(ceramic plates, silverware, water glasses that are refilled frequently — all those fun basics). A pleasant little perk(I suppose labeling it «pleasant» would depend on who you are) of sitting down is that you can check out all of the miscellaneous decorations«organized» haphazardly on a group of cute little shelves. This place is charming to begin with, and this seemingly local/homey flair adds to the ambiance nicely. Enough foreplay. Let’s move onto the good stuff. So, upon walking in, I called this place a «classy Dig Inn», because of how the food is set up/served to you. My friend made a good point, however, which is that some of Dig Inn’s offerings aren’t as «healthy» as they may seem on the surface(the kale there. well, it doesn’t taste at all like kale… which is why I think a lot of people like it). Dig Inn is a regular lunch spot for me so I don’t want to knock it too much, but the food here seems truly genuine. The ingredients that go into every protein and side are listed so you don’t need to make your own conclusions about why the food tastes so good. It does because it’s made with care, it’s local/organic/seasonal and all of the other wonderful things you’d want in healthy cuisine, and as I said before, it’s creatively prepared. What I ate: locally-caught cod, kale salad w/apples and some other goodies(you look at the pictures and decide — I forget what said«other goodies were»), and some cauliflower w/capers, currents, shallots, tahini and date molasses. All of it was incredibly tasty — and FRESH. Kale salad can be bitter/gross if it’s not prepared well, but this kale soaked up its accompanying flavors beautifully. The cauliflower was on another level. The preparation was quite hearty — almost decadent — and I came close to licking my plate afterwards. And I was stuffed, so that’s saying something. Speaking of being stuffed, my last note will be on the portions here. Yes, you could argue that it’s a bit pricey considering the pre-prepared, assembly line nature of the place. But along with the food being fresh, local, organic, seasonal and so so yummy, the portions are quite generous. You do not need to worry about stinginess here, I can pretty much promise you that.

I really wanted to hate this place because I’m a cynical, jaded NYer, but honestly everything I’ve had has been super delicious, fresh and innovative. The steak, the chicken, their kale! all incredibly yummy. Yes, it is expensive but why are people surprised by that? Fresh and organic isn’t cheap, and we’re in the West Village, so their rent is probably 200k a month. It’s sucks that’s the case, and hope they can survive. So stop complaining and support your local shops, specially when you know their rent is TOODAMNHIGH!

Such a gem. Local organic fresh seasonal fare. The absolute best avocado toast. The chia piña is out of this world. Oatmeal with toasted pecans. A frittata with seasonal vegetables. Salmon toast. Rotating baked goods and muffins and scones.

Tonight I stopped in to pick up dinner after working out. I was looking for something healthy and just stumbled upon this place. Words can’t describe how tasty everything was! The chicken was free range and a lot of their ingredients are local. The kale salad had interesting bright colored veggies in it and the noodle had edamame and a hint of sesame oil. While I deduct a star for it being overly expensive(my to go meal was $ 17+ with tax), it was still fresh and delicious. I’ll be back when I want to splurge again.

A smartly designed little pre-prepared eatery with plenty of healthy options. They offer a dish for $ 16 – 19 for protein and two sides, generous portions based on how hungry you hint at I might assume. The atmosphere has a café feel to it, especially so from their well crafted coffee drinks. I will be a return costumer

Super tasty. Steak and salad was delicious. Fresh local ingredients and excellent quality of meat. Love the place too. Great décor. Staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. Removing one star as it should really be cheaper but otherwise great. I live around the corner so see myself visiting often.

Great atmosphere, decoration and food. All best of, ie locally sourced whenever feasible. The owner is a chef who can design diet specific meals I hear. I also liked the artsy(not in a pejorative sense) items on display — which are also on sale. I don’t really understand Heather’s review below — Dig Inn is a much larger place, not comparable really. If she wanted her food hot, all she would have had to do is ask the staff to reheat it. assuming they aren’t too busy of course; maybe I’m wrong as we visited while there was just average traffic. Tthey have a kitchen in the back(and another larger one I hear downstairs). Not really for more than one large group as there is only one table in the back that can accommodate up to 6 people.

I am perplexed by the excellent reviews for this place. It seems like a really overpriced version of Dig Inn, except Dig Inn actually serves their food fresh and hot! All the food was served at room temperature, including chicken and fish and pork(is that even sanitary or up to code?), and seemed as though it had been sitting out for hours. We noticed some bugs flying around the food as well. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. I think I would have enjoyed it much more at the right temperature. For three of us to eat and have 2 beverages it was nearly $ 100! That’s insane for a takeout style place. The service was meh as well. They barely spoke to us and when we asked for utensils they pointed us to where we can get them instead of just grabbing them for us, even though they were closer to them than we were. The place itself is cute but otherwise I really don’t get the hype. Just go to Dig Inn or Mulberry and Vine for fresher food at a much better price.

So glad to have found a gourmet, healthy café in the Greenwich Village with delicious food that doesn’t sacrifice taste. However, I’m not a big fan of their high prices and the fact their staff overcharged me twice! They offer a combo half sandwich and medium side, but honestly I think I get a better deal getting items a la carte, especially since the medium side is really tiny, and a lot less than if you were to order it by itself. My favorites are the black rice with coconut flakes, nuts, scallion and cilantro. The steak sandwich with capers is also delicious but small portion.
