Loved coming to Mon Petit Café for a weekend breakfast! Adorable French café with simple, yet elegant French fare. Fresh flowers at every table! The mimosas are as strong as they come, and the french toast topped with fruit was to die for. Although I didn’t try, the chorizo omelette also looked very good. The prices are a little steep, but at least I felt my dish was worth it. A la carte menu items can really add up. Also knock off one-star because the waiter did not tell us at the beginning of the meal that they were cash-only for the weekend.

Eggs were over cooked, service was OK, but my bellini was very good. My girlfriend had the French toast, which she said was well prepared.

The waiter was very attentive and welcoming but the bread was not fresh at all, the food was nothing special. We were told that there was no onion soup left. An hour later they served onion soup to the table next to us. I was really craving for it.

Ordered their most expensive dish, a grilled steak, cooked medium. What came out was a small rubbery mass that was more boiled and steamed than grilled. Probably the worst steak I’ve ever had at a restaurant, with most of the insides cooked well done and the outer coating a wet tasteless texture. I suspect they used a microwave to cook it. The ambiance is very nice, hence the extra star above 1.

Had them cater a big sit-down luncheon event on the upper east side and the group was extremely pleased by the quality of food, and service provided. Aless did a fantastic job of setting up the rental team, and providing delicious food at a price that worked for us. Thank you!

We met at 1 pm for lunch yesterday. We were three people but the server managed to put tables together albeit it in an odd configuration so we could be seated immediately. The service was, attentive yet not overbearing, We were delighted with the food and the prices were reasonable. I kept it light with French Onion Soup. Best I’ve had in ages. My friends had salad and escargot and were delighted. I will be happy to become a regular there.

Excellent breakfast! Nice ambiance, great service. Authentic! Best café latte. Have been here on 2 consecutive days for breakfast and looking forward to going again tomorrow. First had the french toast. Then the grilled brie on french bread. Outstanding! Dare to say it’s the best breakfaat in the Upper East Side!

We sat outside with our pup at this cute little French bistro, where the food is simple but done very well. I was happily surprised to find interesting vegetarian options here — I really enjoyed my Zucchini and Squash purse filled with Quinoa. Hubby was happy with Steak Frites. I ended with a Coffee Ice Cream concoction that was far too decadent but what the heck, right?! I started with a salad of Avocado, Strawberry & Arugula with the most delectable honey vinaigrette. I wish I could write more about the dressing but I never saw our waiter again to ask him. Three stars for the excruciatingly slow service from a confusing rotating staff, but the food was excellent.

I found this place while wondering across the street at the flower shop. Right when I walked into the café the server was so sweet, greeted me and seated me immediately. I had to wait for some friends to arrive and he had no problem with that he brought me water and menu as I waited and as soon as my friends arrived he helped us order and gave great recommendations. I ordered the steak sliders. Omg! They were so delicious, an order of 3 sliders served with fries. The meat was cooked perfectly. Nice and tender. The fries were delicious also, they were thin so it wasn’t too overwhelming.

Not a bad place for lunch. Our lunch came to about $ 30 per person before tip(but I would say that it could be anywhere from $ 20 to $ 40 depending on drinks, dessert, and what you order for lunch). Service was very good that day, despite some reviews that note otherwise. The food was pretty good. Decent French food without a painful price, but I wouldn’t say that I was blown away by the food.

Now that the weather’s nice, I wanted to have a nice, leisurely lunch outside. I pass by Mon Petit Café everyday when going to the subway, and as a Francophile, thought this was the best option. I was not disappointed! The restaurant transported me back to Paris. They had tables lined up outside, with the chairs next to each other facing the street. I love how this sets a leisurely flow to the meal. All of the waiters were French, and very friendly. For brunch, they have a 28 $ menu which includes one dish plus a drink. I don’t think the brunch starts until 11, so my friend and I ordered coffee at our table outside. Once the kitchen was up-and-running, I ordered a mimosa, and les oeufs scandinaves, which was an egg scramble with lox, and other vegetables. Was delicious! My friend got a poached egg with bacon in a croissant. Both meals were very good. Here, you are paying for the experience. The food is good, and the ambiance is top-notch.

Good mid-price French place around Midtown(around $ 30 after tax and tip for entrees and around $ 20 for sandwiches) and basically only good French option around the area unless you want to pay the exorbitant prices at JoJo. The décor is cute and romantic but service is a bit slow, even though we were there when the restaurant was relatively empty. On that note — if you want to hold a larger party here, they’ll probably have space because it was not very full on a Saturday night. I got the duck confit, which was flavorful and well paired with the mashed root vegetables.

Close your eyes and in the distance hear the faint singing of La Vie En Rose accompanied by an accordion: «Des yeux qui font baisser les miens Un rire qui se perd sur sa bouche Voilà le portrait sans retouche De l’homme auquel j’appartiens Quand il me prend dans ses bras Il me parle tout bas Je vois la vie en rose…» (La Vie En Rose by Édith Piaf) This is how I feel while enjoying modest brasserie food with an equal dosage of attitude. Its a lot closer than Paris and a short walk from moi appartement.

The cozy, charming atmosphere and great food makes Mon Petit Café a wonderful lunch spot. I highly recommend the Salade Californienne — shrimp, avocado, corn, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms over mixed greens. Delicious!

Have eaten dinner here before but never lunch. It was delightful. Cobb salad with the restaurant’s signature salad dressing. One of the few restaurants where you don’t have to ask for salad dressing on the side. They don’t drench the lettuce in dressing. The bread is as good as if it had come directly from France. The bacon was amazing, well-cooked with no fat. The salad ingredients blended together perfectly. Service here is incredibly professional. One of our favorite places to come to New York.

This is more of a 3 ½ star review, but to be frank, the only reason why I’ve come here as many times as I have is because there are no other really good options around that I know of. This place hits the nail on the head with great service. However, the food is just average or slightly above average, while the main setback is the setup of the restaurant(very tight fit) as well as the prices(slightly higher than I feel comfortable with). That being said, the coffee is really legit here. Their breakfast special(not brunch) is $ 19, which includes a breakfast entrée, coffee, and orange juice, which is really how I like to start my mornings. The plating is pretty, and the folks that work re sweet.
