Fresh sushi, nice space, amazing lunch deals. The ginger salad dressing was amazing.

I almost want to give 2 stars but at the same time the service and presentations were good so it’s 3. Came here on Sunday night for dinner. Overall the service was attentive, but the food just didn’t feel fresh. Maybe it’s our own fault for going on a Sunday night, but the sushi and sashimi deluxe just didn’t feel like the freshest fish and just wasn’t something I really enjoyed. The shumai and edamame were good as the appetizers as they always are . My lychee martinis did not taste like a martini at all, it felt like there was zero alcohol in it. If ordering alcohol stick to beer here. The saving grace of the meal was the fried Oreo dessert with green tea ice cream.(And yes, I always want and have a pocket saved for dessert) It was 6 Oreos and two huge delicious scoops of ice cream on top. Left us feeling very happy. Overall I won’t plan to return but if there’s nothing else open its ok to give it a try. The potential is there so maybe you will have a better experience.

I recently moved to this area. My dad was helping me move so we decided to take a break and find something to eat. We found this place and we are a little skeptical at first. We went around 5:30 on a Sunday so we missed the lunch special on three rolls. So we decided to order whatever we wanted. I got a cucumber roll, two salmon rolls and an eel and cucumber roll, all coming to about $ 20. My dad ordered four rolls as well, shrimp tempura roll, shrimp and avocado, California roll and an another one. The food came out extremely fast and it was good. Each roll came with six pieces, but each piece was pretty big. The total big came to just below $ 49 which for four rolls a person in NYC is great! Definitely recommend. Also, the restaurant itself was laidback, quiet and lowkey. Didn’t have to wait for a seat at all!

This is my go-to sushi lunch place! Whether it’s ordering through Eat24 or going in to eat, they never seem to have disappointed. The are really affordable for good food, so if you want sushi on a budge MoMo Sushi is the place to go! They are super clean, their sushis are always fresh to order and the service is pretty good. Today was a rainy day in the city and wanted to have lunch at my desk today, so I choice to order from Eat24 and by the time I walked over(6 – 10 minutes) and my bag was waiting for me, sitting pretty on the counter.

Ordered delivery from here and the sushi was… off. Nothing tasted quite how I expected it to. The spicy crunchy tuna wasn’t great, the salmon avocado was pretty unremarkable and the yellowtail spicy scallion was eh. For $ 20, I’ll find a lunch special elsewhere, sadly.

Can I just say that this place is incredibly underrated! MoMo is hands-down the best sushi restaurant in Flatiron with reasonable prices, great service and complimentary side sauces! I’ve tried many other sushi restaurants for lunch, and none have impressed me as much as MoMo. I will continue to be a loyal patron to this location and hope that others realize what a gem they’ve found!

With such great deals($ 16 for three rolls, plus drink specials and delivery options) MoMo may have become a new/easy/quick go-to when I’m visiting my boyfriend in the city. Located near Union Square, MoMo’s interior is welcoming. At 6:30 on a Friday night we didn’t even need to use the reservation we made, though I’m not sure why this place isn’t busier for the experience. We had a gift certificate to receive $ 25 off as long as we spent $ 50, which ended up being almost perfect(not including alcohol, of course). Prices are very reasonable. We started with edamame(less than $ 5), seaweed salad($ 5 or $ 6), and scallion pancakes($ 3). The seaweed salad was plentifull and the scallion pancakes wonderful for how inexpensive they were. They were less deep fried than I’m used to at other restaurants, which was a nice switch up. I ordered two veggie rolls — one cucumber avocado and one sweet potato tempura. While other places often skimp on the veggies, I had no such issue at MoMo. My boyfriend went for a grilled salmon/avocado/mango roll which looked amazing and he also claims was wonderful. He got two other rolls, salmon and tuna, to accompany it and those were also both about $ 6 or $ 7 dollars. We weren’t charged extra for a plateful of ginger on the side, which is also a major plus for us. To wash it all down we had some happy hour Sapporos and were very happy. Service was good and once we actually put in our order(we spent some time milking up the apps and Sapporo) we received our food quickly. Another plus was the cleanliness of the place, plus amazing bathrooms. We will be coming back for quick and delicious sushi!

We got a coupon deal of pay $ 15 for the worth of $ 30 and was able to get the two of the 3 roll combo and udon. We only paid about $ 15 after the groupon deal. Waitresses were very nice.

Welp, turns out you don’t need a rezzie(at least on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm)…which is a shame… because they do a pretty good job at a pretty reasonable price. We all arrived staggered, and were sat with no issue. Female server was better than the male server. But both were fine, for every day dining. For special needs dining(in this case, gluten-free) the female excelled. She was very knowledgeable of what options she could offer, and understood my friends’ deep desire to have a gorgeous specialty sushi plate to match we gluten eaters. They gave us no issue using our Groupon-for-Four…even though there were only three of us. They adjusted to our relaxed style of dining and chit chat. Drinks were all fine. Nothing strong, or super amazing, but solid. Travesty that they’re charging $ 11/slice of Lady M Crêpe Cake. Some interesting specialty rolls, with ingredients/combinations I haven’t seen elsewhere. Rolls were a bit on the small side. But they have some really great combo offerings for both lunch and dinner. Ambiance is lacking, and tables are a bit close, but not in an atrocious, claustrophobic manner. 3.5 rounded up dude to the knowledgeable server, and the enjoyable night we had. Wouldn’t do this as a destination. But would buy another coupon offer, and stop in if in the ‘hood.

I went here with my boyfriend with a $ 30 for $ 60 of sushi Groupon. I figured this would be an expensive place. It wasn’t. We got SOMUCH sushi. I couldn’t even tell you what we ordered, but it was a lot. They have combination sushi deal, so that was the best part. We can actually afford to come back here without the groupon if we wanted. You can’t combine happy hour with a groupon? Which is weird because most restaurants would just let you buy your drinks separately. We ate all the sushi.

I came here on the afternoon/evening with a friend I got a deal on $ 25 certificate to spend $ 50. I’ve been craving sushi for task weeks and I wanted to try a new sushi spot. Honestly took us a long time to find a place because it was in the middle of the big sign that Big Daddy Diner. As we entered we were greeted by everybody with a smile. First we noticed for sushi spot it was very chic and modern. The ambience was beautiful the colored with warm orange and calming turquoise paint with tall ceilings and great lighting. As we sat we took noticed that the chef was in the back preparing the sushi. It put a smile on my face because I knew that it was going to be fresh. The dinner special is great even if you don’t have a deal like or Groupon. It’s three rolls for $ 15. They have fantastic selection of different types of rolls everything from shrimp tempura to one that called our eyes the mango roll. We order six rolls and a signature rainbow roll with 2 ice teas. They were very friendly they provide us with great patience. It was quiet so we had a great conversation. Moving forward our rolls came out and it was extremely fresh, beautifully well presented and plated. We can quickly smother in. The sushi was fresh enough you really didn’t need the soy sauce. You can taste each of the fishing its kind as well the rice was well balanced. Overall amazing place. Somewhere you could have a first date if you want great sushi and be able to talk. Or for lunch with some coworkers.

This Flatiron sushi restaurant has a very nice bright, but not too bright ambience. A warm look. The food is very good. I feel the sushi is pretty fresh. All in all, a solid spot for sushi in the neighborhood. Another plus, the waitstaff is very friendly and attentive.

Came here on a rainy Thursday night and for a party of two we walked right in(around 8pm). They have an extensive menu of specialty rolls and simple rolls. There isn’t a good option for someone who wants a sashimi plate, mostly its order by the roll(slice?), no sashimi dinner(there was one but it was for two people). I had the shrimp avocado roll and california roll(wasn’t feeling adventurous) and it was delicious! Very fresh, simple, and well done. Definitely an option for a sushi restaurant when all you want is sushi and not some big Japanese experience. Great for groups, and not too expensive(simple rolls run around 5 – 6 $$).

I used the Groupon deal and it was such a great deal! I would definitely go back here. My friend ordered the sashimi lunch special, and I ordered three vegetarian rolls. We both got drinks(thai iced tea and avocado smoothie) and an appetizer before the sushi came out. I am vegetarian, and I loved the sweet potato roll! They also were nice and made me a mango and avocado roll, which wasn’t on the menu, so they will accommodate your dietary restrictions. Bottom line, if you have time to go for lunch here, do it!

PROS: Lunch Roll Special 2 Rolls for $ 8.50 or 3 Rolls for $ 11.50. — Spicy Crunchy Tuna — Pretty Crispy — First time having it fried. — Salmon Mango — OMG the salmon was so fresh and smooth. They didn’t skimp on the salmon in the roll which is a plus for me! Mango on the other hand was little under ripe so it was kind of hard and not sweet.(my favorite roll so far) — Service was pretty fast for take out. Note: Will definitely be back again.

MoMo, you had me with the complimentary seared salmon and a nickname that makes me feel like we go way back like car seats and pacifiers. Immaculate, festive colors, comfortable seating, and not to mention the freshest sushi I’ve ever tasted has me thinking about my next visit. It’s a small restaurant but it’s perfect for that intimate vibe I always look for when I dine out. We skipped appetizers and went straight for the rolls. It was hard to decide what we wanted being that there were so many choices. You can choose from classic, to signature or their hand rolls. Essentially, we went with the choose«any three rolls combination.» Among the rolls chosen were the California, Eel Avocado, Spicy Tuna, Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Crunchy Salmon, and Spicy Crunchy Crab. Everything was delicious especially paired with the spicy mayo and eel sauce condiments. I absolutely love their version of spicy mayo, it had the kick of heat I was looking for.

I’m surprised not many people seem to know about this place! Definitely underrated. Food: The sashimi is fresh and the rolls are both innovative and delicious. Ambience: The restaurant is very narrow but has a super low-key yet chic vibe. It has a series tables laid out length-wise. Good for dates but also feasible for larger groups. Service: Very good. Attentive and honors discounts/certificates. Best of all, the price is definitely reasonable for the excellent equality of the sushi.

Located just north of the hustle and bustle of Union Square, MoMo Sushi is a standard«Americanized» Japanese restaurant that serves decent(but not the highest quality) sushi, sashimi, and rolls. The interior of the restaurant is long and narrow with a sushi bar at the very back. When my boyfriend and I visited on a Saturday evening, it was about 60% filled. The wait staff is a bit slow, but they are very friendly. We started the meal with the Crispy Rice with Spicy Crunch Tuna($ 12) under the Cold Appetizer section. We waited about 20 minutes for the appetizer to arrive. The dish had about 5 pieces of «sushi» with crispy deep-fried rice in a rectangular shape at the bottom, and topped with thin layer of spicy tuna, bonito, and sprinkles of aonori. I wished they weren’t so skimp on the tuna. Because the rice is deep-fried, it’s quite greasy. I liked the crunchiness, but definitely not the healthiest way to start off a meal :) They put way too much bonito on top, probably to shield the lack of tuna. We were debating between getting the Sushi + Sahimi for Two($ 44) or two separate sushi entrees and sharing. We went for the latter, and got the Sashimi Deluxe($ 23) and Tri Color Sushi($ 20). The Sashimi Deluxe had 17 pieces of sashimi of chef’s choice. We specifically asked for no shrimp and no mackerel, but they still brought two shrimp. When we asked it to be changed, the waitress took the shrimp but never brought anything else back, so we essentially just had 15 pieces. I was pretty miffed, not necessarily because we wanted two additional pieces(we had leftover so that was not even the issue), but about the principle of NOT bringing back something else in return, especially when we specifically asked for it. The sashimi itself was okay, but the pieces were very inconsistent. Some salmon sashimi, for example, were thick and the perfect sashimi size, while others were extremely thin. The Tri Color Sushi had 3 pieces each of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail with spicy crunchy tuna. I couldn’t taste any crunchiness in the tuna roll. The fish on the sushi didn’t seem as fresh as the ones for sashimi. I wanted to get the Lady M Green Tea cake, but they didn’t have it.
