It’s average but consistent, and sometimes I would rather be safe then sorry. The beef was well cooked and flavorful with the Korean flavor. They however messed a little bit up with order

Not a great dining experience. The food came quickly but eating there made me feel as if they wanted us to leave as soon as we sat down. Rush, Rush, Rush. It was Friday night I will admit but we were there less than an hour. Really unwelcoming. We were not lingering at all and still had food on our plates and they kept trying to clear out plates. We paid the check but we were still finishing our soju and they said rather rudely, «we need this table.» I have worked in restaurants and understand the need to turn tables. but the reason I go out to eat is to enjoy a meal and some company. We dropped over $ 100 here and didn’t enjoy it at all. There are so many other places to go on this block. I won’t be visiting theses guys again.

Came here for dinner because the one that we wanted to go was full and needed to wait about an hour. First of all, we ordered two bibimbap which was good. But for the BBQ, it’s just standard, nothing special. And it’s a bit pricy compared to the portion of the meat. The woman who helped us to bbq the meat, she took the container away when there’s still meat in it…

Went there last night, we order 4 plates of meats and vegetables, as well as the beef soup noodle which was not bad, the staffs were nice to us. But the thing is that the foods we ordered doesn’t filled 5 people up and it cost us $ 250(which was the price is a little bit expensive, also 20% tips, that’s made me curious that other places their tips percents are only 15%) I still recommend this place to someone that wants to try out Korean BBQ, just remember it’s a little bit pricy so make sure you bring enough money

This place is 3 stories high to accomodate a lot of omnivores. Got two portion of their number one meat($ 36 per portion). They offered to get the set A/B for($ 80) which includes a side of soup and 4 different meat cuts. but their main meat choice wasnt part of it which i wanted to try therefore just went with the hangyeoul(?) meat Like all korean bbq place, theyre not so generous with their side dishes and make you feel guilty for constantly ordering lettuce or kimchi. The waitresses grill it for you. No rice on the side, costs an extra, but they do grill pieces of veggies. Wish they also grilled the bone cuz thats always the tastiest part. The main meat was delicious nonetheless, not too chewy and marinated to perfection

Decent place. I didn’t find this place more special than any other Korean BBQ in the area. They have three floors and apparently the second floor has a different menu then the other floors. I thought that was pretty interesting. I came here during lunch for a birthday celebration with my coworkers and was seated on the third floor. One of my coworker did all the food ordering since she knew what to order. We ordered some Korean bbq meat, but had them cook it in the kitchen beforehand because we did not want our clothing to smell bad since we still had to go back to work. Also, because they do not have the ventilation thing on the 3rd floor. The meat was average, nothing special. We also had a hotpot with octopus. I really like soup and that was about it. Again, nothing special. It had tofu, enoki mushroom, udon noodles, carrots, and some other things I might have forgotten. We also had a plate of spicy squid, which in my opinion was average also. Overall, it was an average experience. Haha, nothing crazy amazing or anything. The workers were really nice and attentive though.

This place was nothing special. I was introduced to this place by a friend who was telling me how great their food is. I finally decided to stop by last night after my graduation ceremony as a little celebration with my family and my boyfriend. The food is mediocre but the waiters/waitresses were nice. They always kept a smile on their face. It did take them around 30mins to bring me some rice… I guess no one there orders rice except me so they had to make it for me on the spot? I found the portions of their food to be smaller than other places I’ve tried but their price is sky high. Not to mention that they add in a 20% tips on their own. Overall, I’d say this place is ok. Maybe a little overrated but still worth trying.

My friend and I was craving Korean bbq and stopped by Miss Korea in a Friday night. Grabbed a number and waited on line. Once our number was called we were ask to go to the 3rd floor. Quick tip: You will wait forever for the elevator to arrive. Take the stairs. Think of it as a pre-workout for your meal: P Arrived at the 3rd floor and waited some more. Food was delicious and I highly recommend the marinated beef in Clay pot.

It was good. The restaurant is three stories tall and has different levels. The food overall was good but nothing worth raving about. You’re paying for small portions at high prices. I ordered the Dolsot Bibimbap(mixed rice) while my cousin ordered the Kalgooksu(noodles). The bill came out to $ 35 for two entrees on the lunch specials. They have steep competition since they’re located in an area that’s jam packed with restaurants, but I don’t think this restaurant would come to mind when I’m in town. Mediocre Korean BBQ at high prices. I went with a group and tried a little of everything. Everything we had — meat, veggies, bibimbop — was just OK. Nothing special. Portions are small. Prices are high. There a bunch of other Korean places in this neighborhood I’d try before coming back here.

— modern décor — comparable pricing for the area — extensive lunch specials — recommend: galbi dolsot bibimbap(14.95), relatively generous portion of galbi(beef short rib) to satiate that korean bbq craving without leaving your clothes smelling of delicious marinated meats

One of the best kbbq spots on the block. I totally love the food here. They have many floors so that your wait will never be that long. Their meats are delicious and super fresh. However the servers will give you some attitude if you don’t come with someone korean. I love their galbi and thick cuts of pork belly the best. Their galbi is super favorful and juicy. Every bite reminds of the kbbq experience I had in seoul. They’re also really nice with their banchan refills(side dishes) and will automatically refill your banchan when they see that they’re empty and you want to eat more. Word of warning is that it can real pricey here.

Came here on a Friday evening and wait time wasn’t too bad. We elected to do the $ 79 per person tasting menu and it didn’t disappoint. It was a very filling and delicious dinner. The highlights of the meal had to be the beef short ribs. Just look at the fat marbling. The beef melts in your mouth. The soup, sinseollo, was a treat too. Never had this soup before with shredded Korean radish, chestnuts, and two kinds of beef. The salmon melted in your mouth too and was delicious. I would have gave this place 5 stars but service could have been better. At least tell us what we are eating instead of dumping the food on our table. They refilled our water frequently though. Not the most friendliest servers. You don’t smell like Korean barbq when leaving :) the fan must be built in to the grill. Check this place out for a more modern upscale Korean cuisine.

I’m still on the fence about miss KOREA. I really wanted to like it after hearing so many good things, but our entire experience felt a little off. We came here after realizing that they validated parking for a nearby garage(pro tip: the validation is not free, it’s a $ 15 prepaid card payable only in cash), intending to go to the first floor. Only, we were told at the door that we had to go to the second floor. Ok??? I was under the impression that there were different menus for each floor, so that set a strange tone for the rest of our visit. We ended up ordering a la carte, including bulgogi, beef bibimbap, steamed egg, and fried dumplings. The dumplings were pretty mediocre and very greasy, while the steamed egg was light on flavor, but good. Our bbq bulgogi was probably the best part of the meal; the meat was marinated nicely and was really tender. We thought they forgot the bibimbap since it came out so late, and I wasn’t impressed when it finally came; the beef was nicely flavored but really fatty, and the rest of the dish was pretty flavorless. The prices were also a little ridiculous; I have no problem paying high amounts for really excellent food, but miss KOREA was on par with some really excellent restaurants in the city for very average food. At least the portions were decent, and they provide you with a good selection of banchan(I personally didn’t like most of them, but then again, I don’t like kimchi and most spicy foods). This may be a good place for groups, but there’s definitely better places in Koreatown.

I went with a friend for lunch and we ended up dropping close to $ 60. We did order a bottle of soju which is $ 20 on it’s own. I like Korean food, but I’d never gotten what I ordered so I texted my Korean buddies and they convinced me to try(sundubu). I loved it. My friend got the #1 on the BBQ list. Then service was good. We felt we got a lot of food, in fact there was some left over. I didn’t like that they put gratuity on… we would’ve done it ourselves because we’re both good tippers!

Food was fantastic, service could have been better. Came with a group of 6 and were pretty much seated right away at around 7pm on a Wednesday. The sides arrived and like a pack of wolves, we pretty much ate all of the sides instantly. I know they are supposed to refill them automatically, but we had to ask constantly. For the price of the meal, we shouldn’t have needed to request more. The meat was SO delicious, specifically the bulgogi and spicy pork. The seafood, which was one of the pricier options, included lobster, scallop, shrimp and tuna all of which were decimated by cooking. I so badly wanted to take them off the heat, but I know that the server is supposed to do the cooking. The tuna was inedible, the others were okay but very very overcooked. Lesson learned for next time, stick to the meat. Service was OK… for the price I’d try somewhere else before coming back here.

I wanted to really like this place but there were too many faults without even considering how expensive this place is in comparison to other Korean BBQ joints I’ve been to. It might not be fair to compare this restaurant to AYCEKBBQ places, but the quantity of meat relative to how much we paid was ridiculously stingy. Top off some missing dishes and some shady gratuity tactics and you have a so-so experience at best. Their«MEE» dinner course is $ 64.95 and requires at least two people to order it so the total without any tax, tip, or other additional a la carte items is already $ 130. This wouldn’t be that bad if they gave you a decent amount of meat. Two strips of pork belly, two strips of short rib, two pieces of chicken. That’s your ‘main course’. I left wondering if we should have received twice the portion we received considering we bought ‘two’ dinners. For about $ 30 worth of meat, one might question if the other side dishes and entrees equates to about $ 100 worth of food.(It does not.) Their kimchee porridge stood out as a favorite, but everything else was pretty lackluster. A bowl of dried fruits, house salad, scallion pancakes, and a seafood broth with tofu and shrimp were all included but nothing would amaze anyone. Their Yukhoe appetizer was actually very good but only for those daring to try raw beef. Essentially it was very tender either ground or thinly sliced raw beef seasoned with salt, pepper, sesame oil and some type of sweet marinade and possibly held together by an egg yolk. It wasn’t advertised on the menu, and it threw my dinner mates off guard who weren’t willing to really eat anything raw. Also offered on the menu was their«Gujeolpan». Wheat crepes were presented surrounded by a variety of meats and vegetables including imitation crab, sliced beef, mushrooms, carrots, etc. which we made into burritos. Quite small, but not bad tasting. Following these offerings and the side dishes, the servers cook your korean bbq.(Not fun! We were used to cooking the meats ourselves elsewhere.) We ate this fairly quickly and were then immediately given our dessert of steamed rice cakes. We never received the«After BBQ» choice of dish shown on their dinner menu. When we received our check, a 20% gratuity charge was also automatically added even though it says on the menu this is done for parties of 5 or more. When I inquired about this, the first serve said we it was because we ordered enough food to feed 5 people. What. The second server we talked to fixed the problem. It’s very hard to suggest this business in Koreatown with so many other offerings around which provide better food and a better value. Give them a try if you’re interested in their raw beef preparation. Or if you want to have Korean BBQ without having to cook your own food. Unilocal 100 Challenge 2016 — 12⁄100

On the pricier side but I think the quality is pretty good. Cannot compare to LA but it is decent for NYC korean food. I got the spicy galbi tang– they gave me so much meat –NOM! Broth was perfect for a cold day. I really liked it! It was a huge bowl for ~$ 20. We got seated pretty quickly and décor was modern. Place was clean and staff was nice. I would def come back here to try the Korean BBQ some time.

In NYC for NYFW, unfamiliar with K-Town therefore my friends and I stumbled upon Miss Korea. Apparently, their elevator was broken we were sent walking upstairs, which was fine. We were greeted by this sweet lady who took our tea orders. Even though we all named two different types – Jasmine and normal hot tea. She brought us all the same kind, and it was surprisingly beautiful! A blossom tea flower in the bottom of the glass with some petals floating on the surface like it was a lake. Nice. I ordered the Kimchi jji-gae, the flavor was average, nothing else but greasy and spicy. My friend was disappointed with his pork stew, we all tasted it and agreed that the chef forgot to put salt in his stew-again, it was nothing else but spicy. The flavor components were unimpressive, sadly. The final bill was around $ 205(plus tips) for 6 people, which was reasonable within means. But we were NOTMENTIONED about the tea… it was more than $ 4/person. We all asked for a simple cup of tea and she never told us the prices! Make sure to ask before they take the orders.

I’m always a big fan of Miss Korea, but this time they failed me. Pros: beautiful place –delicious BBQ –a lot of side dishes –our main server was great. he was nice and professional Cons: disorganized with how they had us go outside then inside and then again outside to wait in line. –my kimchi jigae was lukewarm that the ricecake was NOT cooked but hard… I literally had to spit it out and ask for the to reheat it again –so expensive… why?! –some of the servers who came in to cut up our meat were kind of rude, maybe it’s the language barrier, but really?! no need to give me a blank or disinterested face when I ask you for something
