I was down here for training and decided to venture. I found this food truck and got a burrito. Nothing too memorable, but the burrito was a good size — not too big, and very filling. They do take debit, so that was a major reason why I ordered from their truck. I do remember the menu being somewhat limited though. Plus, I even tried coming back here the next day, and they weren’t there! What gives? If I come back down to Water St for more training in the future, I would like to give this truck another try. Maybe I will revisit this review if I find anything more memorable about the experience.

Not good… Pros: * They seem nice Cons: * WAY too much cinnamon in the short ribs * VERY greasy… I mean VERY greasy… dripping grease… tortilla soaked in grease * Extremely slow… and I don’t mean they are working as fast as they can and it’s just taking time to serve people, I mean they are moving like molasses * Overall more like a sweet than savory burrito Overall do not recommend.

Great food truck!!! The fish tacos are the best. They also have al pastor, short rib, and chicken lime chiptole tacos. They sell burritos too. The wait is a bit long so make sure you have time, about 20 minutes, but the food is worth it. Make sure to add sriracha to your tacos for some heat.

Their beans tasted sweet– almost like baked beans. They paired the beans with manchego– bold move but it did not pair well with the Sriracha infused chicken I had. Something about this combo was just wrong. In the FiDi, they ran out of rice and they were still going to charge me $ 8. I asked them about that and a guy inside the truck said they’d throw in chips and salsa for free– that was their saving grace. Great chips. Excellent salsa– lime and garlic floating through there– it was great. The chicken burrito however, not tasty, not tasty at all.

First time I’ve seen this truck back in FiDi in a while. I was excited to try it again because, as I mentioned in my last review, I thought the cod fritters were phenomenal and really wanted to try the fish in the«Mexican Fish Dog.» Sadly, this was no longer on their menu, so I settled for some tacos al pastor and another helping of the cod fritters. Unfortunately, my disappointment with the menu change carried on to my meal, which was lackluster. To their credit, my tacos were pretty tasty and filling(an issue I had with their burritos last time). However, the cod fritters that I once drooled over have now become something I regret buying. The light, crunchy balls filled with fresh fish that I received last time were certainly not what I received today. My fritters were heavy, greasy balls of dough with maybe a sliver of fish in each(I actually dissected one due to my curiosity, and found one piece the size of my fingernail in there). Maybe I just caught them on a bad day. Maybe they had run out of fish by the time I got there(but in that case, tell me you sold out! If I wanted fried dough balls, I’d get some munchkins at DD for half the price). All I know is that this kind of inconsistency is what keeps customers away which, in a competitive environment like NYC, is something that no one can afford.

Super slow lunch service. Don’t come here if you value your time. Does not serve people in the order that is placed. Highly efficient food truck!

The food was alright. They had a special for fish tacos the day that they were on 46th and 6th ave and the fish felt like it fell short. The slaw that was on top kind of made the dish but what should’ve made the dish was the fried fish… Haven’t seen them since to give them a second shot. The pineapple hot sauce(the chef said) was pretty good on the taco.
