Count me down as a fan of this place. My friend made reservations for afternoon tea at the lounge in the hotel. The reservation wasn’t really necessary since there were only a few people in there. It started to fill up a bit more towards the end of of our meal. They provide top notch service, a great view of 5th avenue and peace and quiet. You could hear a pin drop in that place. The afternoon tea is a prix fixe menu that includes a pot of tea,(3) finger sandwiches,(3) treats, and scone with clotted cream and jam. I have no complaints as far as food and service is concerned and will return sometime in the near future.

Measure Lounge at the Langham Place is just great! I highly recommend cocktails and snacks over live jazz. And their afternoon tea is a bargain at $ 35. Service is great! Really relaxing setting.

Measure is located within the first floor of Langham Place, a super swanky and gorgeous hotel on Fifth Avenue. The interior of Measure is elegance and sophistication personified with high ceilings, dark brown cushiony seats, lovely glass tables, pretty white accents. A friend and I came here for Modern Afternoon Tea(weekends between 2−5pm) and it was fairly empty, so we were able to sit wherever we liked. We chose to sit by the window, looking out at the hustle and bustle of New York City’s 5th Avenue street. There were 3 loose leaf teas to select from: Earl Grey, Genmaicha and Mint. Just a note: If you don’t like the sound of any of those, they have 14 other types of tea(in tea bag form). I went for the classic, Earl Grey which was delightful with milk and the little cubes of brown sugar. My friend selected the Genmaicha, which is basically green tea with toasted rice. It had an sort of soothing, mild and earthy taste to it. Our food came out in a sort of bento box format and the presentation was absolutely exquisite. The 3 savory appetizers were on top and the 3 sweet treats were underneath. The hummus grougere came with vegetable pronvecale topping of colorful bell peppers. The hummus was good, with a creamy consistency and nice fresh taste. The king crab roll was adorable, with thousand island dressing and micro herbs on top, which looked a bit like caviar. I didn’t like micro herbs, but the rest of the roll was wonderful and I really enjoyed the ample amount of crab meat on it. My favorite of the savory delights was definitely the warm scotch egg, which had chopped pork and chorizo in the breading, as well as curry mayonnaise and lettuce on top. The breading was crispy, full of flavor and truly satisfying, especially accompanied by the well seasoned half cooked egg. Then there were the desserts. There was a chocolate and passion fruit French macaron that was quite large(on the menu it’s labeled incorrectly as a «Macaroon,» which is the coconut pastry, not the French cookie). The outer shell was bright pink, one of my favorite colors, with a dusting of pink & purple and a drizzle of white sugar glaze. The center was filled with rich chocolate mousse, raspberries and some passion fruit cream. The chocolate and raspberries overpowered the flavor of the passion fruit, but it was delicious nonetheless. Then there was a cookies and cream profiterole, with a fancy chocolate piece on top, along with broken up bits of oreo cookie. The profiterole was wonderfully sweet and lusciously creamy. Last, was the cheese cake filled chocolate covered strawberry. I’m a sucker for chocolate covered strawberries, so this was a big hit for me and the cheese cake filling, mingled with the chocolate was perfectly delectable. After all that, there was still more to be had… Nutmeg and cinnamon scones, with homemade jam and clotted cream. The scones were piping warm and had a strong flavor of cinnamon and the clotted cream was an amazing addition to the already yummy, melt in your mouth crumbly scones. This is a great place to come to enjoy a fancy afternoon tea, and at $ 35 per person, the pricing is not bad either! The service was a little lackluster since the servers did not come by that often and we sometimes had to wait a bit to get their attention. However, when they did come around, they were attentive and polite.

A girl and l went to the bar, and she asked for a «Pinot Noir», and the bartender gave it to her. She had three of them. I had two cocktails, that were about $ 13 apiece. That’s all we had– five drinks. I specifically did not want to eat at the bar, because it’s obviously a fancy-schmancy place, and I knew it will be too expensive to eat there, so we just had our drinks. When I got the bill, I almost crapped my pants, because it was $ 115! $ 115 for five drinks? Are you kidding me? Those glasses of Pinot Noir were $ 26 apiece! I couldn’t complain, because I did not want to appear cheap in front of the girl I was with. So I called the bar manager(a guy with a French accent) the next day to tell him what happened, and he said he would have to check with the finance department to find out what he can do. He was full of crap, because I spoke to him two or three times, and he just kept blowing me off, and I never got anywhere. So fellas, if you ever go to this place, be careful what you order, or be prepared to pay a high price.

This is a bar which is located on the first floor of Setai hotel(now Langham place) on 36th street, below Ai Fiori, a restaurant run by Michael White. This bar is sort of a lounge for both people who stay in the hotel and ones from outside, so located in a semi open place, and seating is also first come first served. I thought they played live music every night, but they didn’t play the night we visited. I am not sure if they took the live music off completely, or this is just an off-season or a break. Anyhow, we got a semi sofa seats, which was pretty comfortable. Server asked for the drinks so we ordered a couple of cocktails, and I ordered a nonalcoholic cocktail, which was(I guess) a soda with mojito flavor. I thought it was very well fixed. We also ordered chocolate candy bar with different flavors(coconut and two others) and fondue. Fondue was quite small, but also adequate for its price(12 bucks) and was good enough for an after-meal dessert. The service from servers were very attentive, and the bar was noisy enough to feel alive, but quiet enough for us to have a good rest and a good conversation. I know it is around Koreatown where you have tons of bars and restaurants to go to, but I would definitely recommend this place for a drink after dinner and some serious conversations.

Always such a pleasure to be here. I have visited the lounge many times. Every time I enjoy the cocktails, atmosphere and live music. The lounge is located in the lobby of Langham hotel. There is plenty of seating available with comfortable couches and chairs. The drinks are pricey, but they are worth every penny. My fave is the perfect pear. The food never disappoints either, they must be getting it from the Ai Fiori upstairs. I always go for the risotto. A generous portion that is good for 2 people to share. The atmosphere is upscale and trendy without being pretentious. Good for a date night or a group outing. I love being here.

Great music — not a jazz lover by any means, but a great backdrop for some tasty tapas and cold drinks. Recommended! You can certainly do worse in Manhattan.

We swung by really quickly, just to scope out the place, but ended up really liking it! The live jazz music is cool. There wasn’t much of a wait on a Fri. night around 8:30PM either. Because it’s housed within a hotel(and also downstairs of Ai Fiori), I suspect many of the patrons are either out-of-towners or midtown professionals enjoying after-work drinks. The menu is extensive for a lounge, from delicious-sounding fruity cocktails to wine to a full restaurant menu. I’d totally stop by again!

This is a cute lounge in a very fancy lookin’ hotel! They were playing some live jazz music when we got here. Their menu looked delicious(their desserts especially) but we were too stuffed from dinner to order anything! I’ll have to come back here to try them, yummmm. They also have a wide variety of fruity mixed drinks that are all my typical faves as well!

I took my boyfriend here for post-dinner drinks and a place to end the night with some live jazz, which was really great! I got their most popular(and quite over-priced) cocktail, which was pear based(forgot what it’s called). Honestly, I didn’t like it very much, because it was a little too sour for me. We also got the crème brûlée which was yummy, but not the best I’ve had. It came with these candy bar thingies that came with the crème brûlée, which were so hard that it was a struggle biting into them! While this place is quite overpriced, I think the decorum and live music really makes up for it. The seating is very comfortable and spaced out from other guests, and you can honestly just relax and unwind while listening to some good quality jazz. I’m looking forward to coming back here for my next special occasion!

Adorable place attached to a the Langham hotel. Great for a posh date. The cocktails are no doubt expensive but their creative concoctions taste amazing and will keep you coming back for more! The jazz band was also really good. Not random jazz that’s tough to follow but really smooth jazz with a beat you can get behind. Lastly, props to our server Juliana who was adorable, sweet, and attentive. Would have been five stars but my pizza Bianca was underseasoned and my nutella crepes were more caramel-y than chocolate-y. Both were solid don’t get me wrong but I guess for those prices I guess I just hold a higher expectation?

I guess when your bar is on 5th avenue you can get away with prices like these. Overpriced moscato, $ 12 bucks for 3 sips? Well atleast you can say you sipped cocktails on fifth avenue.

This is the first 5 star review I’ve given, and Measure(wait for it)… yes, Measured up. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s the type of place that you don’t mind the cost because it’s worth it. Everything about the place said sophistication and comfort(which is sometimes a tough combination). The food was outstanding, the cocktails exquisite, the service was perfect… just the right amount of attention. The server seemed to sense when the best time was to come over, and her suggestions were spot on. The music also was some of the best mid-town jazz I’ve heard. What every put this place over the top was the attention to detail. We went for some drinks and apps, can’t wait to go back for a full diner. This was one of the best lounge experiences I’ve had.

Went by this spot last night in NYC to catch some live jazz. I love jazz in any venue(the Subway, BlueNote or a place like Measure). So this place was a high-end tapas bar with a hot freaking jazz band. There were three cats playing — one on piano, drums and bass. These dudes were cooking. Got a few drinks and service was exceptional. The server was swift, gave a nice smile and made all of her tables feel welcome and special. Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks!

Measure, the lobby lounge at Langham Place, a super swanky hotel has an impressive cocktail menu and it was hard to pick a drink to start. I went with a reliable order: a Manhattan. The Manhattan was made with Rittenhouse Rye, Carpano Antica and Bitters. It was delicious! It was a lovely balance. The next cocktail I ordered was much more of a liquid dessert. The Jazzy Razz, made with Vodka, Framboise, Godiva Liqueur, Espresso and Cream. The cocktails were wonderful! The lounge has a great date vibe. After we were there for an hour or so, a jazz group started playing. It was a bit loud at first, but ended up adding a nice touch.

This lounge is located in the beautiful Langham Place hotel. This is a destination all its own for the evening. They have free jazz 7 days a week in the Measure lounge from 8 to 11pm. I think you can put on something a little sharp to come here. Definitely did not appear to be a lot of tourists. It was laid back The food is good and the wine list is amazing from French to Italian to California blends. We just did the hummus and red pepper spread with grilled bread. The staff is very nice. For a Saturday night this place had just enough people. It was very personal and intimate. The singer with the jazz band did a song about meeting his wife Nancy in Central Park. I was so touched by the song, I walked up to him at the end of his performance, and whaddaya-know he was from Maryland, invited by friends to help out on the last set! A great way to begin or end a night…

Sleek, spacious and chic. Clean lines, high ceilings, modern and upscale. It is relatively quiet — nice to have normal conversation without raising your voice or even hear bartender for a change. Drinks menu is fantastic, from classics to signature creations — and bartenders surely know their craft. The Payback was strong and mellow, all rounded up and perfect to sip while having conversation about nothing and everything… Kinda nostalgic drink choice. They also have good list of beer, scotch and whiskey, as well as wine and champagne if that is your heart desire. A snack assembly comes with drinks for you to nibble on — bread sticks, nuts and popcorn, neatly presented savory goodness. Small plates are great too — hummus was fresh and smooth, served with grilled bread/crostini. Loved it.
