Not often do I take to Unilocal, but in no particular order the waitress/bartender at Manny’s upstairs committed the following acts last night: she tried to charge me twice for the same beer, asked me three times what my food order was(it was 10 hot wings-not very complicated), left those very wings behind the bar for ten minutes until I figured out they were mine and asked her for them, and rudely shoved me out out of her way with two hands as I was saying good night to somebody. She simply didn’t have the skills or demeanor for the job. I know waitstaff work hard for not much money. My wife is a waitress. I also realize that this very anecdotal. But this was the worst attempt at customer service of all time. Actually it wasn’t even an attempt, she seemed to go out of her way to be nasty and incompetent, which is a bad combination I the front of the house. Oh, And for an unpleasant capper to the evening — whoever runs the karaōke machine pushed the wrong button during set-up and sent out a sonic blast that certainly had to have shattered the eardrums of the poor souls standing near the speaker. Get your act together, Mannys

I’ve been here several times. Good food. Drinks were on the expensive side but overall a good place to watch the game. Everything was good with this go-to UES spot until last week when I was having my Long Island Iced Tea and saw a large cockroach crawling up the wall. Other customers saw it too and the staff didn’t do anything to get rid of it. Now granted the front doors are kept open to allow the breeze in and they are surrounded by second ave subway and new building construction but still cockroaches at a place charging $ 18 for a Long Island Iced tea? Too bad because it was my go to bar. I hope management can fumigate soon.

One of the worst experiences at a bar. I ordered a pitcher of blue point. They gave me a half pitcher and charged me full price. I said that’s bull shit and they said the keg tapped. I ordered a Sams summer and they gave me bud light. I asked them to change it. They said the lines are switched and they can’t find it. Then I said can I have something else and they said not for free. They also have a B rating for their sanitation grade.

Best buffalo chicken wrap in Manhattan. Came here for lunch on a Tuesday to get a drink and some lunch. It was the perfect quiet dive bar. Exactly what I wanted when I walked in. I played some darts while I was waiting and the cutest bartender sang along to almost every song with a beautiful voice. Definitely recommend it.

Really awesome bar for what it is. Great drink specials and good bar food. My team goes here every weekend after our softball game and we have a blast. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good place to hang and watch a game! Does not have that dive bar smell which is a huge plus… $ 11 rolling rock pitchers

This place has survived the 2nd ave construction. Their pretzel bun burger is the best! Delivery is super fast. Burgers are still warm and the fries are still crispy.(get the waffle fries on delivery) Love Mannys! Support these local business’.

A group of us try to come here every Tuesday for their trivia night. Drink specials before 7(I believe all beers and ciders are 50% off! Hello $ 3 draft Angry Orchard!) Tuesday food specials include $ 2 sliders, and they are pretty good sliders. Usually, they sell 3 sliders for $ 10 on their dinner menu, so it’s a pretty good deal. Their wings are supposed to be pretty famous too. I was a bit underwhelmed by the wings, but still good. The place is really casual. It’s usually pretty empty when we walk in around 6:50, but by 8PM, which is when trivia starts, the place is packed! Trivia nights are really fun at Manny’s and I would highly recommend it if you’re in search of some brain exercise and cheap eats!

Terrible food and service. Bartender to busy talking to her friends, and our server ignored us and had a bad attitude. Will not be going back.

Wings were great but the service was extremely slow. It’s dead right now in here and my bill is still sitting on my table waiting to be paid while the bartender is texting behind the bar. Not impressed.

Came here for a holiday party and it was located upstairs at manny’s. The upstairs has lots of room and consists of tables, beer pong, darts, dominoes, a bar, and great music! Had a lot of fun here with coworkers and would recommend it for parties. The food was served buffet-style and consisted of sweet chicken wings, tater tots, sliders, chicken nuggets, artichoke dip, carrots and celery with ranch, and tortilla chips with salsa. The food I will say wasn’t anything great. Wish there was more vegetarian options. Other than the food selection, everything else was great. The people working there were also pretty friendly and helpful, so overall it was a good time.

We had a blast here the other night when I hung out with hubbs and his friends at a going away happy hour celebration for one of his coworkers. We started the night off a couple of blocks west, where we were met with anything but hospitality. A couple of the guys ventured out to 2nd, found Manny’s, came back to get the rest of the crew and we were off to actually enjoy our night. The staff at Manny’s accommodated our 12-top with a few tables and quickly sent a server to take out drink/food orders. The ambience is lively. They were pretty packed but the service was on point. We understandably had to wait a bit for our food because we DID have a large party and TBH, we were already starving because the last place didn’t make us feel welcomed so we never ordered food there. Manny’s has your run of the mill bar grub but everything was great! Hubby and I split their Beef Sliders, Basket of Waffle Fries and an order of Buffalo Wings. Most of our people ordered the burgers and loved them, the Spinach Dip was good as were the Tater Tots. They have a decent happy hour including drafts, house cocktails and wine. We tossed a few drinks back and some shots for the road. The staff took a few group pix to commemorate the event and we enjoyed ourselves the entire time we were there. It was great. Our server kept checking up on us and I would definitely pick this place again, over any bougie wannabe(non-) «exclusive» establishment. Manny’s knows how to keep customers happy and keep them coming back.

The food and drinks are a good deal — ½ off wraps on Wednesday, but other than that the service is absolutely awful. We had Bianca as our server in the bar, and while she is was very cute, her hospitality was pretty much non-existent. She was sooooooooooo slow to even greet our table first of all — mind you that it was a Wednesday night and dead, but it took forever to get anything. She never brought napkins or utensils for food and never cleared our glasses or plates. ON A WEDNESDAYNIGHT. INTHEUPPEREASTSIDE. To make matters more infuriating, she added 20% gratuity to the check. Granted we were a party of 5 people, but that was still(under my knowledge) under the limit of people in a party to legally add gratuity and it was not written anywhere in the restaurant nor on the menu. Both herself and the bar tender very rudely replied to our inquiry about the added gratuity that it was a state law. Not true. I would highly sway people against coming here. The food is sub-par at best, the ambiance sad and smelly, and the service is awful. This is my second time here(my fault!) but service has been abdominal both times. Not acceptable for NYC. #sorrynotsorry

I am impressed with the service at Manny’s on Second, on this now last day of the Jets official playoff contention to the Jets football season. What a frustrating game that was… aargh! I entered Manny’s around 12:15 and the bar area was already full with patrons. No problem, I’ll sit on a 4 table high-top in the front bar area, nope that’s only possible if your a party of 4 – 5. So Nichele, our future server, immediately came over as I was about to get comfortable and pleasantly asked how many were in my party. She guided me to the tables towards the back of the bar, as we were a party less than four and I picked a suitable table to view almost every flat screen Direct TV shown football game. Aside from the, ‘we ran out of this and we ran out of that’, in the food and libations category due to New Years Eve festivities just a few days ago. All of these miscues turned out okay, as substitutions were easily found… Ha! Football reference. Anywho, Manny’s served us pretty well by providing tons of huge flat-screens, consistent service from Nichele, decent bar bites and drinks at fair UES prices, a fun sports bar environment and pretty clean bathrooms considering the crowd. What else do you need on a football Sunday? A win of your favorite football team would’ve been nice. Oh well, you can’t always have everything. Btw, the manager of this spot looks vaguely familiar to the manager at one of the now closed down bars located on Bruckner and Tremont. Which if it is him, it would make sense why this location is an almost well organized spot. I’d return.

What a fun sports bar! Family oriented and lots of singles. Big room upstairs. Sports on every TV. Great music during half time. About 20TV’s. Food gets my vote! I had the BLT on sourdough bread. It comes with avocado on it. You get your choice of potato. I had the tater tots. The portion of tots was huge! They would have gotten 5 stars if they had sweet potatoes! I really loved the sandwich. It’s hard to find that combination served. My favorite bread meat, avocado, and mayo all in one. The place was clean. Service excellent. Very friendly. I felt comfortable there. I’ll definitely return. I’ve already started recommending to my daughter and her friends. If you like to eat, drink, and watch sports, this is s great place to do it!

Pretty standard sports bar. There are 2 levels, one downstairs for main clientele, and one upstairs for private parties. They also have a pretty solid selection of drafts. Overall, the bar is a 3, but it has good enough drafts that it goes to a 4.

This has to be the best place to go to for wings. This place reminds me alot of the bars in the lower east side. Very divey and has 40 flat screen tvs everywhere a great amount of beers on tap and Jean who was our server was so awesome and sweet and made us feel very welcomed here at Mannys.

WARNING: Review of a Non American. Went in here because Atomic Wings doesn’t exist in the area and I was craving wings. but i don’t regret a thing. First of all it was a Thursday evening so there was a football game on. It was packed. To my friends and my luck there was a table for two available right in the middle of the room in the back. We took our seats as the people enthusiastically Ooh-ed and Awh-ed to the game. There is a good amount of TVs so you wont break your neck or become blinded by the TV lights. I ordered my 10 Medium Buffalo Wings. It was hot alright.(But dont mind me, i cant eat anything too hot) I also realized why they always serve carrots and celery with dip. Not only did I enjoy every piece of my wings but also watching the crowd watch football was amusing to me. I felt like I was actually amongst Americans. This is one of the things we immigrants think of when we think«American». My overall experience was great!(Fact: I’m picky.) Now i hope they can deliver me those yummy wings to my house.

A couple of things to keep in mind about Manny’s: 1. First, and most importantly, the wings are enormous, American-bred, sauce-slathered behemoths. They are the Ford Dodges of Buffalo wings. Unless you(or your friends) remain on diligent napkin-duty, there’s a good chance you will walk around the rest of the night with a ring of sauce smeared around your mouth. They also have ½ off wings on Monday nights but only on certain Monday nights when a certain college football game is not playing … so call ahead and confirm. 2. Yankees, Rangers, Giants, Knicks. Some may say that’s the way it should be, but regardless, if you actively support the M-word, you probably shouldn’t be seeking out places with a conflicting spots affiliation. Unless you welcome confrontation like a fat kid welcomes chocolate. 3. Never ask a waitress to lower the volume on the music when it’s the opening game of the college football season. Never mention to her, «It’s a little loud in here.» Especially when it’s the OSU vs. Virginia Tech game. Especially when 30-something glassy-eyed, hoarse-voiced Buckeyes are crammed into the back area and you and your friends are a small island of black and grey in a massive ocean of red. It’s just a waste of breath. I spent the rest of the night watching, in can’t-look-away fascination, at the drunk bro trying to figure out how to dunk a chicken leg horizontally into the container of blue cheese. He would smash it in, but only get a bit of sauce, so he would roar, smash, lick the sauce, roar, repeat. It was like this beautiful dance routine, and he was the only one who knew the choreography. 4. Excellent waffle fries.

Great food and great service. Went to eat and drink before a festival on Randall’s island with a group of friends. Recommend the waffle fries and tator tots. Only reason I’m giving it 4⁄5 stars is because we went on a Sunday afternoon, not during prime hours. For what we came for, excellent!

Food is AMAZING, staff not so much. Mannys used to be my go-to spot for wings and just hanging out BUT my last visits there were not the most pleasant. The waiter took ages to approach us, the music was WAYTOOLOUD to the point it lietarlly hurt your ears, AND they play music over any sport game going on which is the WORST thing you can do when people go to see a game. I would recomend BarCoastal over manys due to amazingly friendly staff and amazing food.

I am a regular for their Monday 50% off wing special. It’s the perfect cure for Monday blues. Their wings are nothing to rave about but also decent enough that I’ll order for them once in a while. But today, the manager actually declined our order, after taking them, when we ordered the chicken wings. The OSU game was on and yes they were definitely busy but this is the perfect example of false advertisement! And the thing was that the waiter was going to give us the discount and the manager actually went out of his way to veto her and declined our order!
