They have multiple locations in or around NY. I tried this location and it was really satisfying than I expected. They have few selections for you to choose from but it was more than enough to come back again to eat next time. My brother and my mom also loved what we had(ordered one Noah’s Ark and one Taste of Maine). 3 different kinds of rolls were all seasoned well(not too strong or mild) in my opinion. Crab claws that comes on a side was good too. Luke’s blueberry & Lemonade wasn’t too sweet which I was happy about. Place was small and few seats but really nicely decorated(more like a café type of look). I would love to eat here again. And I forgot to mention about employees are friendly and service was quiet fast.

I got the Noah’s Ark split between me and my wife. Not enough food for 2 people or not what I excepted for $ 48. I thought it came with french fries not a bag of 25 cent chips. I must say the food was pretty tasty but too small and not filling at all. I’m sticking with Burger and Lobster for now.

Pretty bomb. Went with my boyfriend and got the taste of Maine to try out all of their rolls. I liked the crab roll the most. Boyfriend doesn’t appreciate seafood so he rated it a 3LOL(his review is probably on here too)

Not bad if you’re craving a lobster roll, but not a must try. What I Got: Taste of Maine The vinegrette Cole Slaw was a small step above bland and didn’t really compliment the meal. The lobster was lacking in flavor and the best part was the actual roll. The shrimp was probably my favorite and had the most flavor. If you come during happy hour you can grab a bottle of beer as your drink.

Every time I come to New York, the first thing on my mind is the Halal Cart on 53rd, the cronut, and Luke’s lobster. Nothing beats a warm, buttery, lobster roll. This is as good as it gets, my fellow crustacean lovers!

Such a great counter service lobster roll! Juicy, succulent chilled lump lobster is overflowing the buttered toast bun, and coated in melted butter spiced with old bay. I love the quick and easy counter service style! Service was very snappy and the food was delicious. Even the slaw was good, it has a light poppyseed dressing and a colorful crisp cabbage mix. Basically, the huge draw here is the incredible lobster roll. Get that. It’s amazing.(and served up super quick!)

This is the place dreams are made of. I first had Luke’s Lobster when they had their food cart at the Barclay’s. I’ve been addicted ever since. I’ve had many, many lobster rolls, and theirs is my favorite. The bun is toasted and buttered perfectly, and it is piled high with lobster meal. The meat is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and isn’t drowning in mayo. I usually get the lobster roll, but Noah’s ark is a treat. I love the crab roll as well, and the shrimp roll makes a good showing. You just can’t go wrong at this place. Service is quick, friendly, and prices are just right for what you get.

Looking for a lobster roll that is not too expensive and tastes as fresh as if you bought it at the Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland, ME? This is the place. Chunks of delicious lobster in a perfectly buttered and toasted side sliced bun. And they don’t use mayo, no celery, no onion — no fillers whatsover! Their cole slaw is delicious, too(no mayo)! This place transports me to a quiet, little, seaside town. It is located just off the corner of 81st and 2nd Ave. Inside the restaurant, the busy city streets drift away and all the noise is dampened, maybe because everything is wood paneled. It is very pretty with nice window seating overlooking flower boxes filled with herbs. I cannot wait to go back. If I need a mini New England summer vacation, I’ll just walk on over here and try their sampler of a lobster roll, shrimp roll, and a crab roll.

Whenever I come to Luke’s, I’m always tempted to go for something other than the lobster roll, and I’m always disappointed because the other offerings just can’t compete with their crowning glory. Otherwise, they’d be Luke’s Shrimp or Luke’s Crab, amiright? I don’t need to tell you how delicious their lobster rolls are. Huge chunks of buttered lobster meat on a soft buttered roll will have you singing its praises. I overheard a woman at another table say to her friends when her food arrived, «Don’t talk to me now.» Yeah, it’s THAT good. The crab roll tasted nothing of crab. The shrimp roll was okay, but nothing spectacular. Their sides and such are also just okay; I personally like a small cup of clam chowder with my lobster roll, but if you’re on a budget(financial or caloric), skip it and go for the lobster roll. Do it!!!

Taste Of Maine is where it’s at. I mean all of it. Lobster roll, Shrimp roll, Crab roll, all so good. Though I still like Red Hook more for their lobster rolls. But I like how they have a variety of different rolls here. Sometimes I eat all of it and wish there was more. The wait here at this location is not bad. The staff was really nice. Nice to sit down and people watch while I’m eating. Price is great. The portion is just right. I think if it came with any more food, my stomach would not like me too much.

I’ve lived in Maine and this the real thing. Absolutely fantastic lobster, crab, and shrimp, served simply on a bun with just the right amount of preparation. Affordable too, the Taste of Maine is the right size to be split by two if you just want a bite to go. Only wish? Wet wipes.

Luke’s Lobster is a neighborhood gem. It’s a good spot for a casual date night over some lobster rolls. There are only two tables where you can dine in, but many people stop in to order their food to go. We’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes for the kitchen to prep our meals. We always get the combo($ 17), which comes with chips or slaw, a drink and a roll of your choice. FYI: the slaw is made with a vinaigrette, not the cole slaw that’s made with mayonnaise. The rolls are served with hefty chunks of lobster. It’s not a very large roll, but it sure is delicious, time and time again.

My boyfriend has been craving seafood for some time now so I decided to bring him here so we could try Noah’s Ark. Before arriving I warned him that this place is popular and we may not get seating. When we arrived on a Friday night, it was dead. We were the only customers. The employees were all sitting in the dining area just talking. I went to order Noah’a Ark and it came out to $ 50 and some change. I didn’t mind considering I know seafood is expensive and the high ratings would show me that this food was worth it. About 10 minutes later our rolls arrive. I was pretty disappointed. They were delicious and flavorful but each roll was about the size of my thumb(see pic). For $ 50 I would’ve expected something bigger. My boyfriend didn’t mind since I never told him the price otherwise he would’ve been turned off from eating here and I didn’t want to rob him of that experience. You live and you learn!

In a world where only Manhattan exists(otherwise known as how I see things most times) then Luke’s Lobster would have a 5 star rating. However, lack of decent competition does not give LL a free pass. Is it a good lobster roll? Yes. Is it worth the money? Yes. Also, as a plus, delivery doesn’t seem to hurt them and the staff is genuinely nice. But still, I think back to lobster rolls I have had in Maine and if this place opened it’s doors in, say, kennebunkport, they would probably be out of business in like 8 minutes or so. It can’t be impossible to get a perfect new england lobster roll the way Mabel’s does up there? Even if it was egregiously expensive, they have to be able to recreate this. In the meantime, luke’s is decent and it is fun so go and enjoy… but they are only the best because no one is better and not because they are the best.

Wow. Just WOW. Happy hour is 4−7pm. $ 3 for beer — or if you get a combo and want to substitute the beer for the soda/water, that is an option. My friend and I split the Noah’s Ark($ 46 for 2 people — split lobster, crab and shrimp roll, 2 pickles, slaw /chips, 2 sodas, and 4 crab claws) — well worth it. The seafood tasted fresh and the spices they used that they sprinkled on top just added to it vs taking away. Also, the clam chowder was creamy and full of flavor! The soda was awesome and a «healthy» version of soda. Simple menu and not a lot of seats but we didn’t have a problem finding a place to sit. Fast, awesome, and friendly customer service. A great restaurant, especially in the UES!

My boyfriend dragged me all over the city last Friday because Luke’s Lobster was running a Star Wars promotion where anyone named Luke could get a free lobster roll. After years of dealing with eye roll inducing«Luke, I am your father» comments(which, by the way is a misquote — it’s «Yes, I am your father» but I digress…), boyfriend Luke decided he would hit as many Luke’s Lobsters as humanly possible. Out of them all, this location was my favorite. The portions seemed to be slightly more generous here and the ambiance was a bit more spacious and comfortable.

It is so good it makes me nostalgic. I am originally from Massachusetts, and my family would take annual summer vacations to Maine. There is without a doubt no better lobsters in the world than those from the Pine Tree State. My friend told me about Luke’s years ago. I was overly skeptic that a company could serve as fresh of seafood here in NYC — even if they were shipping it from the motherland itself. I tried it, immediately apologized for my ignorance, and have come back to their UES location more times than I can count. These guys do lobster rolls right. Split-top buns with A TASTE of lemon butter and mayo. I highlight«taste» because the majority of wanna-be seafood places douse their rolls in mayo/whatever to compensate for less than satisfactory meat. That is not the case here, folks. Minimal additions to taste are required because the lobster on its own is fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The lobster roll will put you back $ 16, but it is worth it — trust me. The New England clam chowder is legit too. They also serve crab and shrimp rolls, but I have found no reason to deviate from the lobster roll. There is a classic drink menu, including Maine Root sodas and microbrews. Some microbrews are more common(Allagash, Shipyard), while others are truly local(Geary’s, Peak, Maine Beer Company, etc.). I recommend trying it — it is as close as we will get to Maine’s lobster traps while living the city grind.

I think that this was my favorite place we ate at while we were in New York! Luke’s Lobster was on the top of my must-try list before we even went there … I’m glad it didn’t disappoint. There were two of us so we got the Noah’s Arc to share. The lobster, crab, & shrimp were served cold(which I didn’t expect) on a warm buttered roll. There was some mayo & light seasoning but the seafood really shined through. My favorite between the lobster roll, crab roll, and the shrimp roll was definitely the lobster roll. I’d probably get that by itself. Maybe 2 of them. 2 Lobster Rolls and I won’t be sharing! As far as the other items go — my date enjoyed the crab claws. I don’t like dealing with picking out the meat, etc. so I let him take over those. The arc also came with a 2 bags of chips &2 drinks. I really liked the Maine Root soda they serve. It’s not as sugar-y as other pops. The ambiance of this place is definitely really relaxed. Yes it was expensive since the portion sizes are small for the price and yes we walked quite a ways to find Luke’s but I left satisfied!

Love love love their lobster rolls! You can really taste the difference compared to other lobster rolls. If you don’t feel like committing to just the lobster roll, try the Taste of Maine, which consists of a smaller lobster, crab and shrimp roll for $ 23. The blueberry soda is also a must try! (Typing this review makes me want a lobster roll right n.o.w…)

Ganz ok.
