It was empty when I went. Definitely not the best sushi in nyc; a total waste of time. The place seemed dirty and messy. That being said, I did not get sick. Won’t be coming back

Stumbled on this as I was waiting for someone to have a procedure. It was very clean. The service was good. I don’t usually eat the Miso soup. It was very good. Extremely reasonable. Soup, Salad and 2 rolls, $ 9.00! The rolls were full and tasty! Had spicy tuna, and spicy salmon.

One of my favorite sushi places for their creative rolls and great quality fish. The New Orleans roll is the absolute best. Crawfish, crab, stacked super high. Great service as well.

Six words: great price, great sushi, great atmosphere! I came to Iron Sushi in search of a better lunch, and boy did i get one. For only 12 dollars I had the opportunity to get a lunch special and to chow down on three rolls! I did the math and thought, «wow if they are only 4 dollars a roll, they can’t be amazing… Right?» Boy was I wrong. Excellent sushi. Nice! Not only was the food affordable and tasty, but the server was a very good guy, and my friend had a long conversation with him in Mandarin to get his Chinese tongue some action. I would not want to eat anyone else’s sushi rolls but this man’s. Ten words: get the lunch special for a truly special lunch– Fantastic!

Good balance of quality and affordability. Tried several rolls and liked the Dynamite Roll the best. The sashimi pizza appetizer was good too.

Only one server. Had to signal for service… still took abnormally long to get a glass of wine. Sushi was ok but nothing special. I’ve had better. in Milwaukee of all places!

We ordered delivery and they said it would take 45 minutes which seemed excessive but we were understandable about it, but it ended up taking over an hour and 15minutes. When we finally got our food and opened the bag, they got 3 of our rolls wrong. So we called back and explained what had happened but they were insinuating that we were wrong. We argued that the order was correct on the receipt but was not what we received. They offered to give us credit for the rolls but we refused because we wanted the rolls we asked for and waited an hour for!!! We were able to get our extra roll after waiting some more but once we went to eat, things only got worse. Our spicy salmon rolls were not«spicy salmon» they were simply salmon rolls with some spicy mayo? For the rest of the rolls, they were nothing special.

I always passed by Iron sushi and wondered about the reason for choosing this name. So curiosity got over me and my wife and we decided to try this place. We went for brunch and ordered 3 roll plates: spicy tuna with jalapeño, volcano special and one more that my memory fails me. It was very good and we truly enjoyed it. Service was not great and we had to keep looking for our waiter despite being one of the only two customers at that time. The waiter was not attentive so not pleased with service and hence 4 star review. Food was great though!

Nice restaurant for sushi and other Japanese food. I like their Agedashi Tofu which is deep fried Tofu with starch battering. It is crispy and delicious. I also like grilled eggplant with miso sauce. I enjoyed the rainbow rolls which are crab meat and avocado rapped with Tuna, salmon and white fish. I also tried Tempura. It was good too. The service and delivery are very good.

Fabulous sushi — some interesting, creative rolls and appetizer options — and a cozy atmosphere/cute little dining area. This is one of my favorite restaurants for sushi delivery. Service is attentive, and delivery service is always good and with no complaints on time. My favorite of their creative appetizers: — One of my favorite appetizers ever is the spider cocktail and I do not think is on the menu. It is crab wrapped in a cucumber with peanut butter dipping sauce. So amazing. — elephant eye– grilled eel stuffed with eel, salmon, shrimp… So good . — They also have a great Kani salad. Their special rolls are wonderful! My favorites: — Iron roll — dragon roll — rainbow roll — signature roll Their sushi– tuna, salmon and yellowtail all fresh. I highly recommend as a sushi place for delivery and even to have a casual but nice cozy place for sushi.

Very nice fresh authentic sushi at reasonable prices. We grabbed the lunch specials and will definitely be eating there again, especially for a repeat of the shrimp tempura sushi roll which was freshly made and still warm.

Hadn’t had sushi in a while, and if you know me, that means some serious cravings… so when my boyfriend and I had an excuse to go out to eat, I requested sushi! We passed by on our wandering around our neighborhood, and he really wanted to go in(he never has an opinion on where to eat, so this was an easy decision for me!). I liked how open the restaurant was. We sat at the bar and were offered complimentary spring rolls which were fine(the sauce is not as fine, but they were free so whatever!) We then ordered 4 rolls(dynamite, yellowtail, philadelphia, and sweet potato) and 2 salmon sushis. Everything came out quickly, and I loved how friendly the elderly Japanese men at the sushi bar were! The sushi was fine – not the best I’ve had, although we didn’t try a special roll or anything and I don’t particularly like rolls without substantial amounts of fish – but the price was unbeatable. A quick and easy spot to stop by for dinner, finished off with a large carafe of decent sake and equally decent green tea mochi ice cream.

Props to this place for having a «Banana Roll» that combines banana tempura and spicy tuna, two of my favorite things. The only really memorable thing about this place is how good the Pinot Grigio was, for such a cheap restaurant. Overall this place is very generic. California roll– eh, alright. Third ave roll– just alright as well. Banana roll– good!

Ordered delivery … Like a Chinese delivery . Chirashi. Fish was not so fresh. Compared to other locations in the area. Probably won’t be returning

Delicious spot for some fun sushi! Some inventive rolls that are actually fresh! Came on a Monday night — it was empty… seemed to do a lot of delivery orders though. No problem really… means we were sat right away.

This is a Chinese-run Japanese restaurant. I visited during a weeknight around 5pm and it was empty. The hostess was a young polite Chinese girl. The rest of the staff kept the rude Chinese business style and did not acknowledge their one and only customer. I ordered three special roll: fantasy roll upon recommendation, a role with asparagus & sashimi, and the rainbow roll. Spring roll was served as a complimentary appetizer. It was so so. The rainbow roll has snow crab in it, which over powered the freshness of the sashimi around it. The fantasy roll was nice and with good flavor. See my photos for description. I like how the roll was wrapped tightly and they didn’t put too much rice to bulk up the roll. The serving of sashimi and vegetables were adequate and I enjoy the texture of the combination. All in all the food was fresh and it was made Chinese style, meaning they over flavor and over dressed the roll so it was too salty or simply too much. The food was fresh for sure and serving size was ok. If you like your roll overdressed and flavored with mayo, tomato salsa, mango salsa and all that additional stuff, you won’t be disappointed here. Pro: quiet. fresh food. good sushi making tecnique. adequate serving size. Con: poor taste. rude Chinese style management. no courtesy resh fruit after dinner was served.

Iron sushi delivers when it comes to fresh and delectable sushi rolls. We came in here for a late lunch but made it early enough to get the lunch special which ends at 4:00. The place was empty but overall I thought the waitress/host came to check on us enough. As far as the sushi rolls: I had the alaskan, avocado/peanut, and eel at 6 pieces each, pretty small bites but packed with flavor. My sushi craving was satisfied and didn’t od on carbs, thankfully my dining partner is watching his too. I won’t hesitate to come back if I’m in this part of town. Thanks for the great food Iron Sushi, I want s’more. :)
