Not my scene. Paid $ 5 dollars as a cover on a Friday night. Extremely packed as soon as you get in, but if you push through the back it isn’t so bad… Must be though because all the grinding is in the back. Seriously saw dry humping and guys lounging the back watching. The music was rap and hip hop. We did try dancing. But even walking around was tough with tables around and people standing so close to them. Not my scene but my friend liked it.

It’s a good time! The DJ is ok but definitely not consistent in the music selection. Get a better DJ and this could easily be 4 stars. Overall the bar is small but the bar service is good. I think the bar tenders name was David or Davie … tip well and the drinks get better. Definitely a good spot depending on your level of intoxication. Ordered 2 tequila shots and a Long Island for 31.00 can’t beat that in NY!

Came the day after New Years, and had a BLAST. There’s a $ 5 cover, which kinda sucks(I think women should get in for free). Besides that, the music was decent and I danced all night. Happily.

I only came here because bob was closed. They didn’t have any of the specialty drinks they were promoting. But the music was good

Came here on a Saturday. There’s no sign advertising this place, but the music let me know I had found it. I came here based solely off of Unilocal reviews. When we entered it was still early but there was a decent sized crowd. It is a smaller space, so I wasn’t complaining. I ordered a Long Island. It was STRONG – but can’t get mad at that.(I switched to coco loso’s later). The DJ played a great mix of 90s, 2000’s and today’s hip hop. The music was great and kept is dancing all night. There are couches so we were able to sit and relax as well. I was disappointed that they closed at 3am however. But a good find anyway!

I attended this bar on two occasions. The first was a girls night after Paint Nite and the second was for my cousins birthday. Both times I had an absolute blast! Best part about this bar is that they play such great old school hip hop! Always a good time to dance to the classics and reminisce! Only negative is that this place is pretty tiny and it gets crowded but nonetheless its a good time. I’ll definitely go again! P.S… There’s a $ 5 cover fee at the door!

I’m obsessed with this place. The music is literally on point. I danced with my girls for hours here. There was no line to get in and the cover of 5 $ was so worth it for the awesome music that the dj played all night. The booze is a bit expensive, but eh its NYC. Next time I’ll just drink more beforehand.

This place is horrible. They literally don’t care about the amount of people they let in for max capacity. They only care about charging people the $ 5 cover. Can barely move. And then you have people elbowing and stepping all over you. Thanks but no thanks. If I can give this place zero stars I would. This is the most ghetto and unkept establishment I’ve ever been to in my life. Management step your game up. If you want to make money with the cover charge, why not charge more to get in and allow less people in so people can actually enjoy their time here and dance… Cause isn’t that what a club is all about? Dancing and having a good ol’time? I’ve been to places that doesn’t charge to get in and it’s nothing like this. YES, NOCOVERCHARGE!!! At least I can dance and have fun w. o people freaken elbowing me in my face. But hey if you like ghettoness and smelly armpits all up in your face and people elbowing you. This is the place for you! Definitely will not be coming back. And you can bet your asses I will be telling all my friends, colleagues, family about this place.

This spot was fun. In between a club and a lounge, leaning more towards the club because of the music choice and crowdedness of it. It’s a little small but a good atmosphere. Bartenders will be dancing along to the music too but the drinks are good even though they’re a little pricey. I’d love to go back. There’s a 5 dollar cover but that’s just fine.

Celebrated my birthday here and had an incredible time. It’s great when all your friends show up for your birthday and you know half the people at the lounge. Everyone buys you a shot and you’re just jamming with your squad all night. Birthdays are awesome. But this place made it amazing!!! The bouncers let me in for free and the owner bought my friends and I shots. My friends and I loved the music and every song was such a throwback. Every single person there, staff and customer, was so friendly and nice. I felt so special! Thank you Lounge 247!!!

Worst bartenders ever. Waited for a drink at the bar. No big deal, everyone waits. The 2nd bartender yells at the 1st bartender to quit dancing and get our drinks. She rolls her eyes and takes a shot with her friends at the end of the bar. Started dancing again. Eventually comes back over and asks for our drinks. Adds ½ ounce gin and the rest is tonic. Asked her if that was all the alcohol she was putting in there and she laughed. 12 $. Plus a 5 $ cover. Grrr that bartender was so annoying.

The dj is freaking incredible! It’s a small space but really hype. Expect to be hoarse from singing along all night. 5 dollar cover for people he doesn’t like. Just sayin…

Came here when Bob Bar down the street was filled to capacity but it ended up being a pretty good decision. There is a cover charge for guys($ 5) but ladies get in free. The drinks are definitely on the higher end of the price range($ 12 – 15) but they’re made fairly strong so at least you get your money’s worth. They play really good music but it can get very crowded as the place isn’t that large. Overall, it’s a decent place to dance and have a good drink.

I freaking love this place! I first found this place last summer after going to BOB bar. They were to bougie So me and my friend left, walked down the block n discovered this awesomeness. Ive been here about 5 or 6 times including last night and never knew the name of the place. I just knew I had to go here. Had So much fun and met great Ppl. Great music, DJ and reasonable priced drinks. The only downer is no coat check. But summer’s almost here So no worries! I will be a regular this summer since my fav spot R bar closed down. If You’re looking for a good time I HIGHLY recommend this spot!

Originally, my friends and I wanted to go to bOb bar. Unfortunately, we were turned away when we got there. The guy at the front told us if we weren’t on a birthday list, we couldn’t get in. He also added the place is usually packed by 10 pm, so entry is never guaranteed after that. We were there at 10:30 pm, which to me, is by no means late. But that could also be because I’m still in my early 20’s and I don’t start my night until 11. Anyway, my friends and I headed to Lounge 247. Needless to say, everything I read about bOb bar on Unilocal pretty much applies to Lounge 247 as well. The place is pretty small, there’s some seating along the sides of the wall and there’s one bar located near the front. In terms of music, there was some top 40, a lot of hip hop and 90’s throwback. They played some classics from the 90’s, which was awesome. Everyone at the bar was singing along and having a great time. The only downside is that it gets packed pretty quickly, and it’s not a big place, so you need to get cozy with the people around you. The drink prices were okay. It was about $ 10 for a mixed drink. Overall, it was a great place to go with friends and have a good time. Would definitely be back again.

New York establishments are famous for changing names, I mean just names and nothing else. This is one of those spots, this spot used to be know as If Mom Only Knew before it got rebranded as 247. Came here with friends for a birthday celebration. Few of our friends were already inside but bouncer was giving us a hard time to get in as the place was at max capacity. After much convincing with bouncer got into the place. The place is exactly the same as IMOK. If looking to dance head to the back as there is space there to move around. Usually the entrance by the bar gets crazy busy as it is narrow. Music was just OK, in between don’t know what got into DJ’s mind he was playing some weird music. The only advantage of this place as compared to Bob’s bar next door is that it is spacious as compared Bob’s and one can move around. It is 5 bucks to get in for both M/F. ** As there is one restroom and wait gets a lot longer. Trick is to open the door next to DJ and head downstairs to basement to relieve yourself.

My boyfriend and I originally were planning to go to Bob Bar down the block, but it was pretty busy and the guys out in the front suggested we try out Lounge 247, their sister bar. I was kinda skeptical as it seemed quiet from outside… but once they started letting people in… you could hear the music. I was amazed by those sound proof doors and walls! We got inside and it was pretty packed. I can only imagine how packed bob bar was if they had us sent over here. This bar is pretty small, but the crowd was cool and the music was freaking awesome. It took us a while to get drinks, so we didn’t focus too much on drinks but dancing to old school hip hop. They were playing all these jams… no song calmed down the crowd… we were all having a good time. Its a diverse crowd there, and everyone was on a good one. We danced the whole night. After coming here, my boyfriend and I just loved how the nightlife is out here. The idea of going to a bar playing hip hop, cool crowd, walking around the city, not worrying about driving(as we live on LA freeways)… these things made us love NYC even more. Thanks Lounge 247 for a good time!

This place was a nice surprise that me and the girls stumbled upon one night. Having no clue what to expect after only being told by my girlfriend that it was a dancey/hookah bar spot. We walk in… no charge! Yes! The music is pumping and the DJ was doing a great job. When me and girls walked in, immediately it felt like parting of the red sea lol. The guys stepped tot he side to let us pass and seeing a bunch of guys was a plus. Who doesn’t love some ice candy on a Friday night. The lounge is not huge at all or wide for that matter. We ended up on the dance floor area before we knew it. Realizing we went way past the bar we inched back and ordered our first round of tequila shots. The DJ screamed out a five dollar special on shots being ordered at that time so we made sure to indulge while the price was right. Our bartender was nice and made our later order drinks relatively strong, which was awesome. The only problem I did have was that she kept asking us to by the bar a shot too. Now I get it, its for tips and all of that, but to ask every time becomes a bit much. At that point it just seems like if we don’t «pay» for your shot of water, you are going to water down our drinks. That I did not like at all. At least ask every other time. When we had enough of her asking, we ordered our last round of cocktails and moved it to the dance floor where we stayed. We didn’t want to be bothered anymore. Like I said the DJ was great all night and there was good vibe on the dance floor. We danced, and no guys were grabby so thank goodness. The vibe was great all night and you could tell people were having fun. I would definitely revisit this place and refer it others!
