This is the place that our friend group comes to when we want to let loose a bit. Hybrid between a bar(narrow front area) and nightclub(square-ish area in the back and off to the side in adjoining room). Never had a problem here really, it does get crowded though in the dance area, but doesn’t take too long to get a drink in the bar area. I enjoy a place that serves dual purpose: I can go dance and get crazy, but can retreat to the bar to cool down and talk to some people. Good music.

The enitre bar smells like poop and rotten eggs… i mean if i wanted to hang out at a place that smelled like poop and rotten eggs This is the place. They have about 100 health code violations. I dont know if thats true but like when your bar smells like someone pooped on the floor, you must have a ton.

I had an incredible time at 200 Orchard. Don’t get me wrong… this isn’t the kind of place for a chill Friday night beer. Oh no. 200 Orchard is misleading. You enter and the bar appears narrow and dimly light. But keep walking and you suddenly stumble upon a massive dance party in the back. Sweet lighting, current top hits blasting, absolutely packed and sweaty. Yeah, like I said, not for a typical Friday night… The bartender in the back room was really awesome. It was my friend’s birthday and he poured us some rounds of Fireball shots on the house, which was obviously warmly welcomed. The mood was festive too with sparklers being handed out every 30 mins or so and huge amounts of napkins being thrown into the air before descending on the crowd. I mean it was an absolute mess. But a really, really fun mess. Great memories were made!

My friend and I stumbled upon this place one night and had the best time! The bartender was hilarious and very attentive! You can expect to be standing at a crowded bar for 5 – 10 minutes on a Friday or Saturday night, but he had our drinks in our hands in under 5. The music was great! They have a separate room for dancing space with strobe lights and a mini cash bar in the corner! The security inside was hilarious! He handed out sparklers! Every hour or so, he would come out dancing with a flash light! He definitely made sure we were having a good time! The crowd here is a little different though. There was definitely more guys than girls. But everyone inside seemed to he having a great time! I would definitely come back!

There’s a very specific type of male that goes to this bar– the kind that has«going out shirts» and never really left college. Regardless the place itself isn’t SO bad. The DJ is good. But on a Saturday night the place was beyond packed, and the venue itself, especially the bar area towards the front is very narrow which roughly translates to an absolute nightmare on a weekend night. There’s a back room for dancing which is fun, but that’s even more crowded than the front. And if you want to use the bathroom? Forget it. There was only one bathroom being used the night I went and the line for it extended through half the bar. The place is fun though and I still enjoyed my night but I’ll have to try to go back on a less crowded night

We came here to grab a couple of drinks but ended up staying till 4am. They have a nice selection of beers on the tap for a very reasonable price. I had one of the best times at this place, music was awesome throughout the night. And being next to Katz is always a plus! I would definitely come again!

DJ was uninspired, environment was a mess, clientele was subpar, but there was a good girl to guy mix. The DJ would play cool songs for 30 seconds, then transition to a song that no one knew; think a wonder wall remix to a 70s country song. His transitions were disastrous as well, granted he’s also a bartender. Finally they played the same songs 3 – 4 times, it seemed as if their playlist had only 10 – 15 songs on it; disappointing. As for the environment, there were broken glasses strewn about, and the bar napkins littered the floor, sticking to everyone’s feet.

Ladies Love 200 Orchard. My friend and I ended up getting 9 drinks(many completely unprompted) for a total of $ 20. The backroom was closed for the night, so we ended up posted up at the bar and were not disappointed. Interesting clientele, good music, strong drinks. Will be back soon to get my bump & grind on.

Fun for a night out with fairly good priced drinks. THey could probably improve on the songs though.

Abusive and Racist. This is a disgraceful establishment that hires despicable individuals. I have never been so abused and dehumanized in my life. I came home with bruises from the meathead who was manning the entrance to the dance floor, and my fiancé was both physically and verbally assaulted by the same man. For what you might ask? For being chivalrous and waiting for her to come out of the bathroom on the night of our engagement party. I would like to thank 200 Orchard for completely ruining our celebration before I could finish one beer. I will never frequent 200 Orchard again, I will dissuade everyone I know from going to 200 Orchard, and I will encourage anyone and everyone who is fortunate enough to come across this review to avoid the abuse, racism and disrespect that is allowed at this sorry excuse for a business.

You’ve been looking for that new place to get your dance on, so come on over to 200 Orchard. Yes it will be crowded and narrow, but once you make your way to the backroom, you’ll be bumping and grinding all night. If you’re looking for entertainment, watch the bouncer get bored and shine his flashlight at the disco ball.

I tried to make a reservation to have my birthday party here this past Saturday, but unfortunately, there were already two parties booked. I asked the manager, Joe, if the venue was still open to the public, in which he replied yes. About 4 of my guests arrived to the venue around 10pm and the bouncer told them it was reservation only. Long story short, Joe got on the phone and told me the venue was open to the public, but he coudl only let parties of 1 or 2 people in, 1) idk who goes out to a bar alone on a Sat night and 2) if you do the math, there were four ppl trying to get in, which is just one above what he said . If you are not letting people in besides those who are there for the birthday parties inside, then you it shouldve been told to me that it was a private party. I sent my guests over to Sutra, at which the door guy was more than accomodating. I told him the situation and he made a guest list for me right then and there and my guests did not have to pay a cover charge. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you’re booking a bday party, are going out with one friend or just you alone!

This place is my new go-to! Bartenders are incredible, friendly, and FAST… The room is really cool kind of like two places in one, music was EXACTLY what i wanted to hear… Went with a group of people didn’t have to hassle at the door and it was really smooth… Crowd is nice and really a great vibe… the bartenders are SUPER cute!

Bartenders are cool, drinks are priced appropriately and the bouncer was a really nice guy(on a Saturday night too). Clientele is weak though. Tons of bros, all wearing the same button down shirt, bad boot cut denim, and bad shoes. Not bridge and tunnel crowd though, Murray Hill and FiDi bros. Girls, wearing tiny skirts in 25 degree weather. It’s that kind of place

I would really love to give this place four stars but I really can’t. I had my birthday here on a Saturday night with a friend and we reserved the back room. It was really great when we first arrived. There’s a bar in the back room and they had balloons and everyone was super nice. However as more guests started arriving it became sooooo hot! I don’t know if the air conditioning was broken or what but it was unbearably hot. I couldn’t stay longer than a few hours because no one could handle it. It was really sad. Otherwise a really cool place with well priced drinks.

This place totally surprised me. By late evening it’s still a pretty laid back bar with the TVs going and easy going music. but come night time the bouncer comes out, the music gets cranked up, and the sound system is actually pretty sweet. I think it could be a fun party except, yo, bro, there’s like. a lot of bros here. Bro.

I had so much fun here last Saturday night for my friend’s birthday. Some people might find this place to be too douchey for their liking, as you have the mix of fratastic bros and former sorority girls dancing to EDM beats, and bartenders giving out sparklers… which seemingly makes the place all the more douchey. However, if you can ignore the crowd and just hang out with friends, this place is pretty cool. The space is nicely laid out, with a narrow bar in the front to hang ou twith friends, and it opens up into a larger dance floor in the back. Also, the décor is nice, dark with some tables in the back. The bartenders were also pretty friendly, and gave us free shots after spending a few bucks on drinks(pricing is normal, and $ 20 min for cards). All in all, good LES spot with good music. Would definitely come again. It would probably be fun for happy hour as well.

I came to dance, dance, dance, dance — and that’s what I did, did, did, did. To about 15 seconds of all my favorite songs growing up. DJ had ADD for sure. I also lost approximately 5lbs of water weight since there was zero AC in the back room, and it was a humid june night. I would say 200 Orchard is a good place to end your night, not start it.

Get to the Chase: Pros: 1) Speakers in the back are louuud 2) Hip hop EDM mashup??? Lotta oldy songs too 3) Plenty of space to dance until 11:30PM… then it gets raucous 4) No entry fee Cons: 1) Sadly this place is not immune to attention-seeking manhattanite girls who like to stand on seats and dance so everyone watches them 2) Music is meh 3) Speakers in the back are way too loud(you’ll notice you’re slightly more deaf when you walk outside) 4) Every 10 minutes the bouncers have to walk into the room and turn on their flashlights so that the disco-ball on the ceiling creates its dazzling effect 9:30 — 11:00 is the best time since it’s empty, and you don’t have to bulldoze your way to the bar. Music could be better, but i’m not complaining

I didn’t really care for this place. I thought the drinks were overpriced for what you got, not a very good beer selection, too dark. My least favorite part were the bartenders. All of my male friends took forever to get served. I walked up and was waited on instantly, but every employee I talked to(I think I spoke to three different people) insisted on calling me love or honey or something to that effect. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Just a personal preference, but I felt it was worth noting. Nothing special about this place. We left shortly after we got there.
