Horrible horrible horrible. Music was WAY too loud and I actually have suffered with a ringing in my ears since going there — in April. Never going back and would caution people to avoid it.

Been here a few times. It’s a small spot with no defined dance floor so you bump and grind on each other! No big deal right? It gets PACKED! The music get better midnight on. Crowd is mixed. Drinks/​bottles are Manhattan prices. Hookah is OK. Door isn’t tough but my favorite about this place is the sax player that comes out and plays to the beat of songs. He’s amazing.

You can’t order a Grey Goose Vodka Straight at this place… They’ll usually give you house vodka. Not so welcoming! Good music though! Expect to spend what you shouldn’t.

Had so much fun when I came here! Great atmosphere and even better hookah. Everyone seemed to be having a great night. Good service, attentive staff at crowded times, and good prices on bottles. I would definitely suggest coming here if you want a fun, chill night out.

Checked it out with my girl, and ordered a few drinks. The Morrocantini was DOPE! I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to have a dope experience and try some unique drinks. Not to mention the overall décor of the place is rather appealing.

This place is the bomb! I celebrated my birthday here on a Saturday night and it was an amazing experience. Since we had bottle service, I got my guests in easily that night. Its a beautiful place with a nice bar, plenty of space to dance and a great atmostphere for drinks and hookahs with friends. I had an amazing night and would like to thank my friends and the staff at La Vie for a great birthday celebration.
Also, contact Max, the promoter if you’re planning to have a party at a place like this or similar. He’s got good contacts and great locations so work with him to find a perfect place (like I did) since it gets crowded everywhere during weekends and you dont want to get stuck in lines.

I was on a guest list and I still got charged a $ 20 cover. My cousin came out less that 5 minutes after to tell the douche bag with the clip board that I’m on a guest list, and he said no refunds.
Besides the jerk off at the door, the place looks great. The music was great too. Although we had a table, bottle service and a hookah, the staff did a poor job. I know the waitresses get hired because they’re attractive but they did get hired as waitresses, not models.

HOOKAH lounge. that had great EDM music, not to mention an electric saxophonist playing the EDM!
WHY 2 stars? the place was empty & they forced only some of us in our party to pay $ 3 for coat check even though we got bottle service at a table… ALSO wasn’t a huge fan of the crowd here… maybe we came on an off day!

The BEST! Came here to have good time while visiting NY n Boy it was sooooooo much FUN!!! The cover charge was $ 20 per person but if you pay a $ 100 upfront you can spend that on drinks and hookahs inside! The DJ was AMAZING! Played really good numbers and getting high on the hookah was jus icing on the cake! We had the sex on the beach hookah. Must party at this place. Also, I would suggest to get a table in advance or else you will be standing at the bar or dancing and will get tired soon. If we would have got the table, I am sure we would have loved it more!!! The bar tenders are wonderful n beautiful. There are some exotic dancers to who make an appearance every now and then. So, don’t think twice go PARTY AT LV… WHOOO HOOO!

The music was ok but they definitely dont know how to run a door. The place was too crowded and it was like being in a smoke box with all the hookah and cigarette smoke. Oh and they have strippers come in and dance this past weekend, which was pretty ehh.
Bouncers were nicer than at other places.

Came here with friends after a less than stellar experience at the Gansevoort.
Friends had connections to a promoter so we got hooked up with drinks and other perks. Despite my normal detest of clubs and pub/​bar scene tendency, I loved the energy and music at this place. There was at least one live musician in coordination with the DJ which I thought was pretty sick.
Not a smoker but indulged in hookah because why the heck not. The environment and friends made it hard not to enjoy. Promoter seemed really chill and really nice and checked up on us to ensure we were having fun. We had a mixed group 2 girls 2 guys so I can’t speak to gender biases because we all had a ton of fun.
My only complaint of the night was that it could have used about 50 less people. Some drunk girl slipped in her ten inch heels and sent our bottles and drinks flying. Thank god there were no hookahs or hot coal at that point!

Came for a friends birthday on a saturday night and had a promoter get us free bottles and hookah. Waited for less than five minutes but there were a few girls in front of us who were pretty upset that we got in first, they seemed to be waiting a while.
Place was pretty well filled. Decorated nicely. Crowd was good mix. It got VERY hot towards the back of the lounge though so don’t dress too warmly. Some dancing going on, but it’s a little close (if you’re into that sort of thing).
Hookahs weren’t terrible… tried some random persons but there seemed to be little place to put them. Music was good as far as I can remember. Drinks were average price for this area and venue ($ 10ish for a cranberry vodka)
There are lots of bars in this area for before/​afterwards. I would suggest a promoter to come here… With our promoter. Girls were free all around $ 20 cover for guys plus $ 20 to drink.

Tuesday Nights for Hip Hop /​R & B.
If you are looking for good music and Hookah this is the place to be.

Tuesday Night:
We heard Tuesday night was hip hop and R&b night so we came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We got there just minutes after 10pm. I read a sign saying «all persons are subject to searches», the bouncer asks me to open my bag and then digs his hand in there, what the hell is that about? What restaurant/​lounge searches purses? Then we are all patted down by a female security guard as if they were TSA. Left me feeling very uncomfortable. There is a $ 10 cover charge for everyone, why charge me that much when one of you drinks is double the amount?
We were a large party so the waitress kept pushing us to order a bottle for $ 350 and then we would be able to sit in the back «exclusive» area. I ordered a shot of Jameson for $ 14 with an added tip and gratuity, so it ran me about $ 20. One thing that I did enjoy was the hookah, $ 35 and they replenished your coal without an extra charge.
La Vie definitely wasn’t my type of scene so I’m not sure if I would come here again on my own.

I happen to be walking by La Vie, looking for a hookah lounge and walked in at about 8:30pm on a Thursday night. This place is cool, relaxed and the staff very helpful. I was there for a few hours, talking to the bartender (Suda) which was very nice. We had a good conversation, the location is romantic and sexy and middle– eastern music very good, not too loud (that you can not have a conversation). The staff was very attentive and the gentleman that refills the coal for the Hookah was very consistent in refilling my coal.
The hookah was only 15.00 since I got there during happy hour and glasses of sangria 4.00 each till 10pm.
After 11pm the music turns into hiphop, r&b and top 40 — they are opened nightly till 4am. Will definitely be going back.

love this place, ball out here for less! The owner nino is a pretty standup guy. We come here alot for birthday parties and he «hooks» us up for 500 dollars for two premium bottles plus tax and tip… yes you’re still paying about 600 dollars for two bottles that cost under a 100 at the liquor store but c’est la vie, no pun intended :) This past sat night we could barely finish half of our second bottle and the owner said don’t worry, we’ll put your name down and keep it for you for next time… instead of my usually «hey (random stranger) want free drinks because we pregamed too hard and can’t finish our bottles» It was nice to know we have alcohol waiting for us the next time we go.
The blond bartender who works nearest to the door is AWESOME… if you get in good with her it’s buy a shot and receive 2 free basically… i’m sure that’s not the exact ratio but i’m too busy having fun and usually down a few drinks to have the time and patience to count shot ratios.
The crowd is very mixed… indian, arabic, some spanish, and some african american. The music is AMAZING!!! I’m a big music person, but even if you’re not I gaurantee you’re butt will be shaking left to right without you even noticing it. I did deduct one star because the place is small and can get crowded and the doormen aren’t the greatest. I know them so we walk right in, but otherwise they can be a pain to groups of guys which usually isn’t an issue for the LES.

I went there on Thursday night with few friends. The place was pretty empty. Hookah was great! little over priced but the floor guy kept it live with frequent coal replacement. drinks are okay. Did not like the 20% automatic tip added to the check. Also they do not take AMX. Over all it was ok

They add a gratuity to your bill, which is lame, cause your waiters then slack.
The food was about average.
I liked the venue and look of the crowd there though.

Saturday night, no attitude, no cover.
Nice mix of music, some Arabic, some top 40, some Spanish and some Indian. All very danceable.
No jostling for space, no elbow wars and no heels stamping on my poor foot.
Some hookah, some tequila. Some wine, which mysteriously disappeared halfway through.
Spacious, clean bathrooms. No waiting involved.
I could deal with it.
