This was our favorite meal while we were visiting New York! I have no idea why they don’t get a better rating. The service was quick and friendly. The drinks were fabulous and the food was unbelievable.

Food is a little pricey and spicy as well. It’s not bad but not the best I’ve had. Love the place and the vibe it gives. The lower level has a dj after a certain time and lights are dimmed. Strong drinks. I would come here on my third or fourth date. It’s loud but at the same time fun and romantic.

This place never disappoints. If you’re looking for a livelier spot to eat and drink in the LES a spot at the upstairs bar ensures you an upbeat atmosphere, tasty cocktails and scrumptious food. Don’t even look at the menu. Order yourself the squash blossom quesadillas! Absolutely bonkers. Stellio the bartender is fantastic and attentive. Makes the experience delightful. Try to go before 9 on the weekends or it could be crowded

had my birthday party here on cinco de mayo, it was everyones first time here including myself. for such a holiday for a mexican restaurant, stephen and his team were on top of it. waiter was so attentive, pitchers of skinny girl margaritas and watermelon margaritas flowing all night, yum! chips and guac were amazing, as well as the chicken taco and atun ceviche. headed downstairs for dj cflo and a great time. amazing music and vibes, candlelit dinner with a fun group. highly recommend.

never EVER go to los feliz expecting a positive interaction with the bouncers. I tried to go back in after leaving to find my room mate and they claimed I ‘ran’ past them, pulled me out by my backpack and were arrogant and rude. Disgrace.

Shocked this place doesn’t have 5 stars. The only annoying part was that we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but considering how packed it was, was definitely worth it and we were just able to hang by the bar and eat some guac while we waited. I had two friends from Australia and London over and they were obsessed with the food, some of the best mexican we have had and relatively decent prices. Would highly recommend

One caveat with this review is that I came for dinner on a weekday. On weekends and at night, it supposedly is much more of a bar than restaurant. The basement turns into a Latin style club. The vibe was somewhat fancier, with dim lighting and moderately high prices for drinks and food. Anyways, let’s get to what I care about most: THEFOOD.The portions were on the smaller side, so I would not come here on Yom Kippur or Ramadan after you’ve fasted all day! The guacamole($ 10) was amazing, some of the best tasting I’ve had in New York. It had a little spice to it and was very flavorful. The dish was quite small, and if you’re ordering for more than 2 people, you might consider getting a second portion. The«Quesadilla de Flor Calabaza»(squash quesadilla: $ 16) was exquisite. I am as big of a meat and seafood fan as anyone, but you will not go wrong with this vegetarian dish. It had the perfect amount of gruyère cheese that complimented the corn, portabello mushrooms, and sauteed squash. It was topped with a truffle aoili with these brown crumbles that blended perfectly.

I am surprised this doesn’t have at least 4 stars. This is a great place. They have amazing plantains and really good guac/chips/salsa. That is a must. It is a bit loud and crowded here, but it is also a great place. More of a nightclub feel compared to a restaurant. We had a big group here and a reservation. We had a bunch of drinks, the spicy margarita was really good. A few others, but drinks are all great here. The food was also very good. People loved the barbacoa tacos, the salmon tacos, the carne asada. Everything was great, really unsure why they don’t have great reviews. The portions are good for going out also, you don’t feel too full after eating here.

Last Friday night, after walking all over NYC, we decided we should probably get something to eat. So lo and behold we stumble upon Los Feliz. Before even entering you must show your ID. That was a little strange to me but they told us that since it is a bar/restaurant, you must be 21 to enter. Ahh got it. We were immediately seated which was good because about 15 mins later, the place was packed and people had to wait. Mr. B ordered a glass of red wine and I ordered a drink called Everyone loves a Ginger which had milagro blanco tequila, strawberry purée, ginger syrup, organic raw agave, fresh lime juice and spicy salted rim. It was quite tasty and no where near as sweet as I thought it may be. We then ordered a Salsa sampler which had three different kinds of salsa to try. The flavors were chipotle, pumpkin and jalapeño. Believe it or not, the pumpkin salsa was my favorite out of all three! Mr. B ordered Los Tres Amigos for dinner which had pan-seared sesame tuna, grilled chicken breast, Adobo skirt steak over a black bean jicama salad, with corn, pico de gallo, cilantro/cumin vinaigrette, chipotle crema and avocado. OMG it was alot of food. He enjoyed every single bite and even shared some with me. The flavors were intense which a plus in my book. The seared tuna was just that, seared and not over cooked. He really enjoyed the skirt steak, so much so that he didn’t share any of that portion of the meal with me! I ordered the Pancita con Pulpo which was two smallish taco with adobo-spiced pork belly, poached octopus, chili paste, pickled cabbage, and pineapple. Don’t get me wrong, they were quite tasty and packed with tons of flavor, but for $ 12 they were quite small. Luckily between the salsa sampler, a few bites of Mr. B’s food and my two smallish tacos, I was quite full. So full that we even skipped dessert! Shameful! All in all, I really did enjoy myself at Los Feliz. Our lovely waitress Turiya, was quite wonderful and attentive without being overbearing. If I am ever on the lower east side again, just may have to venture back in.

I’m a little iffy about giving this 3 stars, but I feel like 2 would be too low. I came here on a Saturday night for the dance club part. It’s definitely an interesting venue with 3 different rooms to crowd yourself into. I didn’t expect anything amazing– it’s a no cover club in the LES area. If you want to know about how it the inside is — there’s 3 different floors, which is pretty big for a LES venue. The first part of the place is more laid-back and loungy bar area. It was definitely a very crowded dance club in room #2, which is very dark with wooden tables & benches and rocky walls(I think… everything was dark). Room #3 is supposed to be the actual dance floor, it’s down some stairs but here’s the catch! There’s a bouncer at the entrance who’ll let you in if you have a table downstairs, or if he likes you and feels like it. There’s actually a line to get downstairs, so you have to wait. Jackets/coats are also not allowed on the dance floor so the bouncer will tell you to check it in(what???). Fortunately for me and 2 other friends, the bouncer let us through since we had a table in the other room. Downstairs is just another small dance floor with the bar on one end and lounge booth seating on the other side. I say small because it was basically a rectangular room that could pass as someone’s loft bedroom. BUT the music was good, and the colorful strobes definitely more dance-floor-esque. The crowd– very mixed crowd with your pretty girls in heels, sea of single men, birthday celebrations, casual LES hipsters, and if you’re lucky you’ll catch a few couples hooking up on the dance floor. A tequila soda/ginger ale(yes, that’s my usual drink) was $ 11, with a $ 20 minimum to charge your card. It was made pretty strong, but not overwhelmingly strong– I approve! I actually enjoyed sipping on my drink and getting tipsy slowly :) Overall: — No cover — LONGLINES — get there before 12, even then there’ll be a line — Music is top 50s but more & a bit better — Interesting space with 3 diff rooms — Will get crowded after 12, but also poppin Given it’s no cover and decent music, I’d still come back! Maybe on a Friday night when it’ll hopefully be less crowded.

This is a seriously terrible venue. I wish I could give it .5 stars. The people who work here are INCREDIBLY rude. We were being let in to the dance area, but the Vincent told us we HAD to check out coats. So while our one friend waited, 3 of us trekked 2 floors up to check them. 30SECONDSLATER my friend came up saying he wasn’t letting us in anymore. I tried to get my money back from coat check woman(we hadn’t even left that hallway) who rudely kept yelling«I did my job, I’m not giving you your money back.» I’d had another bad experience here a few years ago where I’d set my coat on a chair while we were dancing, they took it, and I later had to pay for coat check. Again the coat check woman was horrible. I decided to come back with higher hopes. I was seriously disappointed. The drinks are not good, the music is shitty, and I don’t need to be treated like that when I’m trying to celebrate my birthday out with friends. Absolutely never coming back here again.

You’re in the LES and looking for some good cocktails and maybe dinner. If tequila is your thing and margaritas makes you smile get ready to be excited. The choices of tequila are vast and you can get some amazing house made margaritas by the glass $ 12 or pitcher $ 60. I loved the spicy cilantro margarita but it’s not very spicy and they don’t have any jalapenos to kick it up. All the heat comes from the infused tequila. They love potion was also a favorite with a bit more sweetness thanks to the pineapple. If you’re eating you won’t be disappointed with the food, but the sound and service drop it a star for me. There are 3 levels that split the place up. Top floor is the main bar and part of the restaurant(best place for a date or conversation since you can still hear). The second level down(aka the basement) is cozy but very loud. Not a lot of room here and they’ll shuffle you out pretty quickly after you’re done eating(easy to to when they auto tip 20% for parties of 6 or more). Down one additional level is the sub basement which is a speakeasy type bar/lounge. They don’t have the full assortment of killer margaritas that the main bar does and they want you to get a table fort bottle service at a certain point of the night. You cannot bring your coat down with you and they force you to check it(for $ 2 even If you just had dinner with them) up on the main floor. Now the food. I love guacamole and all things avocado. Their guac was«ok» but super small for $ 10. The chips were homemade and great with the right amount of salt and crunch. In ordered the rabbit tacos and the mahi-mahi tacos. Both were melt in your mouth delicious with special props for the rabbit which was recommended by the waiter. It’d be nice if they had combo platters for appetizers that would appeal to groups but they didn’t. A good thing to know with large parties is that they only accept a max of 3 credit cards. We had 18 people and they wouldn’t make an exception. Of course they have an on site that will charge you a hefty fee for use.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews on here, but today is this places lucky day. On Tuesday November 24th around 7:30pm I came to Los Feliz for a small Bday happy hour. The woman at the bar, was great, very attentive, courteous; you know, them norm. However for any charm and politeness the bartender had to offer, was completely offset by the beyond horrible service from the wait staff. This place is small, so there was only one guy, and you know who you are. I think this waiter should either A. Take a class on etiquette or B. Quit the restaurant business, because he seemed to hate everybody. He was rude, wasn’t clear, and overcharged because he knew he was entitled to the 20% gratuity from the large group we had. This guy had the nerve to charge the table for drinks that people had paid for at the bar, what kinda nonsense is that? And he didn’t even address is and argued that the charges were legitimate. My advice to anyone, don’t go here, not worth it, at all!

Los Feliz has established itself as a LES staple over the past five or so years. You’re almost always guaranteed a packed party regardless of when you visit. Aside from the top floor, you will discover two other subterranean bars where you can quench your thirst. I would recommend starting here before 1030 so you can enjoy some nice cocktails upstairs and avoid the line. Alternatively, LF is also a good place to drop by at the end of the night when you’re yearning for that nightcap! Overall LF is a safe choice and perhaps one of the most straightforward bars in the LES.

Dinner: good, traditional Mexican food. Cute, stone grey interior. Moderately priced: tacos, ceviches, quesadillas, burritos(all running $ 10 – 16) and margaritas $ 10 – 12. Enjoyable food. We attended an early dinner and service was pretty quick. Nothing really bad to say about our food or experience. Night: 3-level subterranean bar, each floor and room with its own unique décor. Popular place and often a line. Plan to arrive before midnight. Attracts a young professional crowd like most places in the area, and there’s plenty to keep yourself occupied with between their floors and margaritas.

I’ll preface this review by saying I went here on a Friday with my close(newly single) friend and boyfriend. In other words, we were here for a good time. And boy, did we find it. I’d been warned that this place can get crowded quick so I made a reservation. I eat on European time so we chose a late dinner. We arrived a few minutes after the reserved time and were seated promptly. It was dark and the bar was crowded. YES. We started with chips & guacamole, served with this delicious spicy yet rich salsa, and a shot of tequila each. Like I said, we were here to get down. After our appetites had been whetted and our conversation buzzed, we followed the natural progression by ordering cocktails. I selected the«everyone loves a ginger»(because who doesn’t) and was not disappointed. It had this delicious agave sweetness to conceal the alcohol(though the alcohol was so quality I wouldn’t have minded the taste). The sweetness was kicked with spicy ginger and the natural sour of lime. What’s a tequila bar without some lime. And the best part was the rim… it was lined with the most delectable of pink salts(Himalayan?). Love love love. For my dinner I went on a limb and ordered a quesadilla instead of tacos. And I never looked back. Mine was the Quesadilla de Flor de Calabaza and it was d-to the e-to the-to the l-i-c-i-o-u-s. Like seriously guys. Sometimes I find myself gazing in the distance thinking about this dish. It even came complete with a gorg purple hibiscus garnish. Nice touch. When we’d finished we ventured downstairs for some fun.(Tangent– there need to be more places in New York like this. Sticking a clubby bar scene underneath your restaurant is not only fun but diabolically lucrative.) Bonus points to this place for having not one but TWO floors of fun. The 2nd level was a bar scene with warm, dim lighting and lots of mingling. The 3rd level was clubbier and the ONLY reason I’m deducting a star is because it was too crowded and had to wait in line to get into it. No matter– because we remained in the 2nd level and had the time. of. our. lives. Seriously. You’ll find yourselves chatting with strangers and there’s plenty of sitting room for ladies wearing 5 inch heels(hi). When we’d sung and talked ourselves silly, we left with ears happily ringing. I shall return.

It’s a fun tequila bar, there’s not much to say beyond that. Prices are comparable to bars nearby. It’s three levels of fun, the lowest floor is where most of the action is. The music is mostly Pop so be prepared for Taylor swift and Rihanna and the like.

Love this place! Great dinner spot but also turns into a super fun bar/club on the weekends. The food and drinks are some of the best in the LES. It offers a really cool environment that adds to the experience. At night, be ready for good music and a good crowd. Three levels so you can really choose what kind of night you’re in the mood for. Always a great time, so check out out if you haven’t been. There may be a line, which is a little annoying, but on the nights you can wait a few minutes to get in, it is worth it!
