Muy excelente! Not only did this little shop do a great job replacing the heels on my boots, they are friendly, inexpensive and efficient. So excited to find this gem.

Had two great experiences — bought hard-​to-​find brownish/​red polish for a pair of shoes, and a second time, completely replaced worn heels on both of a pair of black dress shoes for $ 25. Not a nailed in patch, two completely replaced, new heels and full polish.
I’ll go back!

Quick and reasonably priced! But be ready: it’s cash only.
The shop is tucked around the corner from the Broadway traffic on 171^st street (between Broadway and Ft Washington). There’s a small awning and usually a sidewalk board sign that says «Felix Shoe Repair» with a list of services. It’s generally open 8am-​7pm Monday-​Friday and 8am-​6pm on Saturday.
After this brutal winter, I brought in four pair of shoes that needed some serious help in the heel and sole department — two pairs of boots, one pair of low-​heeled office work shoes and one pair of flats. He charged me $ 25 per pair of boots, $ 16 for the heels and $ 12 for the flats; I paid half up front and half when I picked up the bunch. Less than 48 hours later, all four pair were ready and waiting for me!
This is my second time using Felix Shoe Repair. The first time was about a year ago for a pair of cowboy boots with a broken heel — those boots are still going strong and I expect these four pair will be the same. I plan to be using this shop for as long as I live uptown.

I love to dance and when I do, I dance HARD. As a result my favorite pair of summer dancing shoes have had it and needed their heels hooked up BADLY. I dropped off my babies at Felix on a saturday afternoon. Mr. Shoe Doctor man took a look at my girls, quoted me $ 10 (pre-​paid) and said they’d be done in 20 minutes. As a new yorker, I dont have 20 minutes to just wait around so I went back the next day to pick them up. It was Sunday, they were closed. So I went back on Monday morning at 8AM expecting them to be closed. They were open!
I got my shoes and I couldn’t be happier with the result. They look brand new, he even got the scratches out of my heels. I love this place and will be taking all my heels back!
They’re cheap, fast, and you get service with a smile. What more could a girl ask for?
