Great thai place. Their lunch special is quite a deal, you get an appetizer, soup or salad and rice along with your order and their food is good. Peanut sauce as well as the peanut salad dressing are both good. I’ve only ordered and picked up, but it’s always packed in there when I go to pick up my food.

Quick delivery. Not a fan of the steamed dumplings but the drunken noodles were delicious. I was expecting broad noodles but it was thin pad Thai noodles in drunken noodles spices.

As soon as we walked in we noticed it was pretty crowded. They seated us very quickly which. Was nice. The staff was nice and friendly. They consistently refilled our waters and food was brought out timely. The food was very good, the menu has a wide selection. Most of the food is spicy so it helps to enjoy spicy food. Overall great experience and food.

Basic neighborhood Thai take-out place. The drunken noodles are thin like pad thai noodles which was strange to me, since usually drunken noodles are the broad flat ones. I also think it is a little pricier than your usual thai take out joints.

I came here for dinner with a friend about a week ago. We got there around 6:30pm and there was barely anyone there(because senior citizen dinner time…), which was great! The place is cozy and cute. We ordered the Little Basil spring rolls, which were amazingggg. The wrapper was made out of taro and the filling was shrimp and crab. There were 6 small rolls in the order for about $ 8. Then I went with my usual, green curry with tofu and my friend ordered the chicken pad thai — both were really good and the portions were decent. Overall, I would definitely come back for some good and quick Thai food!

I love going here for lunch! It’s one of my favorite lunch spots. Despite the busy crowd during lunch(around 12:30PM), the service is always fast and quick. The staff is very kind and polite. If there is a wait, it is usually only 5 – 10 minutes tops. The prices are great for lunch. For the lunch special, I usually get Thai Salad with Ginger Sauce. It’s a little small, but definitely fresh and they give you a fair amount of sauce. I also like to order the Little Basil Spring Rolls. They are the best out of the appetizer options. They are served with plum sauce and the texture of them aren’t like other spring rolls. I can’t even describe it, but it’s definitely a good thing. Out of the lunch special entrees, my favorite is the Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken! They don’t cheap out on the ingredients and they even put cashews in it. It really adds to the flavor. As for drinks, I love their Thai iced tea! It’s not too sweet or bitter like other places I’ve gone to. They are also served in cute little mason jars. Although this place is a little cramped at times, the restaurant has nearby hooks where you can put your coats or bags. This not only helps you, but it allows service to run more smoothly.

Great restaurant with good authentic Thai food and friendly staff. The appetizers(we had the wings and some puff thing) were tasty and done without an overwhelming amount of batter. The mains were good too. We had the chicken green curry, a basil chicken, the Emmo combo(Bbq chicken with papaya salad). The bbq chicken was one of the best I have had with perfectly crispy skin and juicy chicken pieces. The other 2 dishes were good as well with spiciness for to ur preference. To top it off, making the wallet happier, is that this place is BYOB with no corkage fee for the 1st bottle. I will definitely come back here again.

Thai food with large portions and great prices. The green curry is my favorite. Also enjoy the pad see ew. Not a fan of the spicy chicken wings. Way too dry and the lime flavor is very overpowering. BYOB is a nice feature.

Cute little neighbourhood Thai place. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but fast and convenient for the kips bay gramercy Murray hill folks. I had the coconut soup with chicken and my boyfriend had the drunken noodles with chicken. Both were good but not mind blowing. The veggie spring rolls were really delicious but came out super tongue scorching hot. BYOB is always a plus. Atmosphere wise, it’s a small clean quiet place. Super simple décor and soft pop music in the background.

I and my husband went here on freezing Monday night so the restaurant was not crowded. We were seated right away and the waitress immediately brought us glasses of water. She asked if we want some food recommendation. What she recommended us sound really good to us. We ended up ordering Spicy chicken wings as an appetizer, grilled pork and sticky rice as my husband’s entrée and tom yum noodle as my entrée. For the drink, I ordered coconut juice. I have to say… Everything we’ve tried was so good. The spicy chicken wings were flavorful. The grilled pork was well-cooked and tasty. It went really well with the sauce and sticky rice. For my noodle, it was perfect tom yum noodle soup. The service was attentive. Our glasses never reached half way and empty dishes were taken right away after we’ve done. For the price, it was very reasonable. We will definitely come back here to try more dishes.

So in love with this place! Probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had since moving to NYC. Everything about this restaurant is perfection, from the quaint décor/atmosphere, most delicious food, beyond gracious and helpful staff, and how could we forget BYOB!!! We came on a weekday, it was not very busy so we were seated right away(they also take reservations). They have an amazing BYOB policy, first bottle no charge thereafter $ 10 corkage fee. The restaurant has a relaxing casual feel and is very clean. We ordered the pork spare ribs which were a good size for the price and it was served in a bed of shredded lettuce. These are by far the BEST spare ribs I’ve ever had in my life! They were succulent and packed with flavor, you must get them. For my entrée I had the duck panang curry… words can’t even describe how good this dish was. The duck was cooked to perfection! Moist and tender in the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. The panang sauce was so good I wanted to drink it. We also had the kee mao noodles which were delicious! Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. He guided us through the menu and all his recommendations were on point. I can’t wait to come back here. Im totally in love with this place and their delicious food!

Pretty standard Thai restaurant. Convenient location if you’re anywhere on the east side in the 10s-30s or if you work nearby. Pretty tasty veggie Pad Thai and veggie dumplings. Very quick and attentive service. If you’re coming at night, I’d make a reservation. It’s a small place and fills up pretty quickly. BYOB is a huge plus + no corkage fee!

Pretty good food. BYOB. What I love is that there is ALWAYS a Groupon so it makes the price so much better. I don’t think I have ever gone without using 50% off! They deliver extremely quickly as well. I like it because the food is good. Its quiet. And its cheap already but very cheap with a Groupon discount!

Went here with a large group. Staff seemed overwhelmed but they did a good job with the merging and stuff. The only completely vegetarian dish is the Massamun curry which isn’t bad. They didn’t have the longan beverage but the Lychee Iced tea was excellent. Not super sweet and a good amount of Lychee in there. Not as sweet at the usual Thai Iced Tea(but there was still a good amount of tamarind) so solid. Everyone got a choice of dumpling or spring roll as well as soup(Tom Yum with chicken) or salad. I got the Pork/Shrimp dumpling(the steamed one on the bottom) which was solid. Small but some good flavor in the mini-dumplings. The soup was solid. Quite sour/spicy. Not much chicken but it is a lunch special. Had the Pad Sew Ewe, ordered it spicy. It turned out to be a pretty perfect heat but they did offer adding some other thing if needed once I got the plate and tried it. In terms of the dish, the noddles were solid and there was a good amount of chicken. I’d pay 11 dollars in other places for the same quality though I am used to paying a bit more. Food here was pretty good, 3.7. Solid

Among all the Indian restaurants in «Curry Hill,» Little Basil — a traditional(…and by that, I mean«traditional» in an Americanized way) Thai restaurant that provides a breath of fresh air from the likes of Chicken Tikka Masala and Palaak Paneer. I came to Little Basil with a friend for dinner. I’ve heard that they have really great lunch deal, but the price for dinner was also pretty cheap. I liked the ambiance of the interior — golden wall, cute decorations with patterns on the wall and little Thai statues. To start the meal, my friend and I shared the Steamed Dumplings($ 7). Based on how quickly the dish arrived, I am guessing these dumplings were probably frozen ones that they steamed before serving. The dumplings reminded me of fatter version of shumai. These were filled with minced pork, shrimp, and shiitake mushrooms. Nothing too special about the dumplings, except I really liked the slightly sweet soy sauce that came on the side. For entrees, we got the Pad See Ewe with Beef($ 11) and Eggplant Basil($ 12). Previous Unilocal reviews have raved about the pad see ewe, so I was really excited to try it — and it did not disappoint! The wide ribbons of rice noodles from Little Basil were definitely more transparent in color than other wide noodles I have had before; perhaps the other ones were more flour vs. rice-based? The noodles could have been slightly thicker for the added chewiness, but overall it was satisfying. The pad see ewe had crunchy Chinese broccoli with big pieces of beef. The sauce wasn’t too sweet. I wished there had been more egg in the dish, but otherwise I was very satisfied with the pad see ewe! I also enjoyed the Eggplant Basil. This item was in the vegetable entrée, made with vegetarian duck with lightly fried basil leaves, eggplant, onion, bell pepper, and chili pepper. Eggplant dishes tend to be super oily because eggplant absorbs a lot of oil, but this dish wasn’t overly greasy. The eggplants were sliced like half circle. I did not like the vegetarian duck because it tasted rubbery. The dish had decent amount of eggplant, which I liked. It also came with white rice on the side.
