What a fun place. We went there during Christmas and it was so festive. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and baked potatoe. It was so tasty.

I think this is my favorite restaurant in NYC! I am in love with the Victorian décor, it’s honestly absolutely stunning inside. The food is pretty solid and drinks are good. The only downside is how packed it can get. It’s not a big place! And the service will take a long while, depending on the server. Other than that, I love the atmosphere here. It’s perfect for a date or girls’ night out.

I was really excited to try Lillie’s Victorian Bar & Restaurant, but it was an utter bust. The only thing good in this place is the décor. That’s it. I had the pot roast dinner with roasted potatoes and carrots and green beans with pudding. My meat was over cooked and grey. The potatoes had no flavor and I’m pretty certain the carrots and green beans were from a frozen bag. Oh, and my pudding was cold in the middle(and continued to be be cold even after asking the kitchen to heat it up). Furthermore, I was expected to cut my tough, grey meat with a butter knife. The drinks were fine, but not mind blowing. And they were expensive. $ 15 for a cocktail. Lillie’s is supposed to be a, «Restaurant & bar with a menu of classic American & British dishes in a Victorian setting.» However, Lillie’s is far from that. Aside from the horrible food, their choice in music is also lacking. You know, because Bön Jovi and other bad pop music contributes to that Victorian setting.

I’ve been wanting to visit either location of Lillie’s for a while and finally had the opportunity to come here for an after-work happy hour. It was a Tuesday night and actually very quiet around 6−7pm. I guess nobody wants to drink on Tuesdays? I love the décor of this place — very Victorian indeed. Almost feels like you’re not in NYC anymore. The space is vast, though it probably gets packed in here during peak hours. Staff are nice and prompt. We tried one of their appetizer platters including mozzarella sticks and pita with spinach artichoke dip — solid bar food. Drinks are reasonably priced as well. In short, very solid watering hole in the Union Square area.

A must on the NYC places to try! Beautiful bar in the heart of the theatre district. Although it claims to be an Irish pub, it has the feeling of an eclectic bohemian hang out. I could see Jack Kerouac in place like this. The live music is treat as well. The cocktails are upscale and delicious. Be sure to ask for Omar! He’s the master mixologist in the place.

An update. They lose a star since the shepherds pie was TINY!!! A shepherds pie is not supposed to be served in a soup bowl!

This was by far the most crowded restaurant I have ever been to in NYC… And it was for $ 17 brunch. The deal is you get a cocktail and an entrée at $ 17 which I guess is not that terrible, if the food was more than mediocre. *spoiler* it’s not at all. Service was lacking, food was meh, and drinks left something to be desired, the only things on point were the friends — but I can take them on down the road. Why waste your time here in a city full of brunches?!

Had an awesome time at Lillie’s last time I was home in NYC! The food, atmosphere and service were top notch! Definitely a place you’d only find in New York! Love the truffle fries!

Loved this place. Walked in asked for a table and got a seat for 5 within minutes. It was a Tues. night but the place was pretty busy and it was nice to get a table. Upon check in you can get a free beer or wine, but you have to order an appetizer. I didn’t see an appetizer under $ 10 but that was a quick glance in the dark. Nevertheless, in a happening place off 14th Union Sq. I thought that would be a good deal for anyone that wanted a bite and a drink. The deco was fun too, old Victorian but really unique! Anyway, all is all, enjoyed it. Also, I had my check split at the end without issue. Always a plus! I’m a fan!

Went here last night for some drinks and some apps. It’s a fun place, really loud music(great loud music though!) and it gets pretty packed. We had the pulled pork fries, they were yummy & loaded with cheese. We also had the nachos they were not as good, a bit cold and not much on top. It could be because it was a busy night as the other pictures look great. I will be back again, maybe just for drinks.

I’ve been going to Lillies since it opened. It’s not only a beautiful bar that’s amazingly decorated for every holiday season, but the Bartenders are the best too! Wonderful drinks, great food and such a cool vibe in this amazing bar! Keep going strong Lillies!

Okay, this place has fallen down — came here to eat a burger with E and I ordered some spicy drink. The waitress said they were changing the menu, so they can’t make the spicy drink anymore. I said okay, and I ordered a jalapeño burger or something, and she said they were out, but then told me they had jalapeño on the side. Doesn’t make any sense at all and a lot of other things didn’t make sense and neither did the waitress. I can’t remember all the details, since i forgot to review this a lot sooner, but all I remember was the waitress was a complete space cadet.

Worst Bloody Mary of my life so far, packed in like sardines, meh food, irritable server. Will not return. So much chunky chunky horseradish. I haven’t been able to touch the stuff since. Felt like I was drinking straight cocktail sauce.

Came here with friends after The Cellar was a little busy the other night. Grabbed at drink at the bar and waited maybe 45 minutes to be seated. As a visitor I enjoyed the decoration of the place. The cocktail was good and my steak was cooked to perfection. Only downside was the noise level. I was meeting some friends and we had to scream to talk. But the food was excellent.

Are you in the holiday spirit or in the spirit of sharing a good meal with friends? This spot ended up being more than I expected. Bigger than I thought. A year ago I took a peak at the window. The holiday decoration got my attention. So I kept it in mind and this year I was looking for a restaurant that did a little extra to get the holiday spirit going. I have tried Rolf’s in the past and sure it looks like Christmas exploded in that place HOWEVER, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get reservations if you don’t call 3 to 4 months ahead. Instead Lillie’s were accommodating. My group of friends took over 17 seats and a long table smack in the middle of the restaurant. There was plenty of space to walk around and the noise level was just fine. We could hear each other and still didn’t annoy any one around us :) The staff was attentive and was able to take our order, deliver it and still come around to ask if we needed anything else. Win Win! The brunch price kept everyone happy. Dec’ 15 price $ 17, includes one drink. Not bad. Other places it was only food, plus drinks. The bill ended up about $ 359(some had additional drinks). But with a group of 17 adults, to have a bill of only $ 359, NOTBAD. Location is ideal. Come on a Sunday and there is no parking regulations. One block away from Union Sqr. In the holiday season, you get to enjoy the holiday village tents. Good place to keep in mind.

Stopped by for a drink and a snack after a long day of walking around SoHo. Food Shared an order of fish and chips. Fish was pretty good, but very heavily breaded in some areas. Came with grilled lemon which was nice. Drinks Great beer selection. Had the correct size/shaped glasses for each type of beer which is always nice! Service We waited in the front for awhile before wandering in and running into the hostess in the middle of the restaurant. Our waitress was very sweet. Ambiance Décor was very ornate with lots of Christmas decorations. Pretty much how I imagine a grandmother with an extensive budget would decorate a bar if given the chance(and I mean this in the best way possible!) Overall, a solid choice if you’re in the Union Square area looking for a fun place to get a drink!

Was looking for a decent place to eat in the USQ area that wasn’t too eclectic due to one of my teammates being an exceptionally picky and non-adventurous eater. Lillie’s was a fabulous find! What a cool place — it’s gigantic… fantastic marble toped bar that just goes on forever. High ceilings, amazing(yes…Victorian) décor and the food is really solid. We stuck with basic bar food: Combination appetizer plate(choose 3 from the menu except mussels and tuna tartar): –Sliders(beef) –Chicken tenders(fried) –Mozzarella sticks All of the appetizers were solid quality. We also had the truffle fries and they were demolished rather quickly. For dinner, I had the homemade salmon burger — it was delicious. Ordered sweet potato fries with it — they were very good. The others at the table had burgers, fries and the mac and cheese. Rave reviews all around. Adult beverages? Yes. We had beers, a mixed drink of some kind and one of the gentlemen had an irish whiskey on the rocks. My Guiness was a perfect pour. Staff was great. Great menu choices — you can go here with picky eaters… they cover all the basics. Very cool atmosphere.

I’ve been to Lillie’s a few times with my most recent visit being this past Saturday, so I think a review is long overdue… This is such a great little gem. The Victorian atmosphere feels thematic and elegant without the hokey-ness that many other themed establishments suffer from. Lillie’s, however, is pure charm. The drink list is extensive and varied, and I’m thrilled they carry my personal favorite — Kopparberg pear cider. The food is delicious and hearty. The prices are, indeed, «Manhattan prices», but it’s still better than many other places in the city and the food is quite good. This past weekend I visited with my friends for brunch and had the full Irish Breakfast, which was delicious and filling. Brunch is $ 17(some items have an additional charge) and comes with a drink and tea or coffee. Our entire party was pleased with everything they got and we all had a lovely time. The service was a bit on the slow side, but I can’t fault our server as she seemed to be the only wait staff on the clock and as such had her hands full. Overall, I adore this place and am looking forward to coming back to sample for of the menu items.

I came here about 2 years ago walking through the neighborhood with a friend and it’s just as lively and diverse a crowd. Yes it is Irish, and yes it is sort of a pub but it’s a lot more sophisticated than divey, and can accommodate intimate affairs and rowdy get togethers. You’ll see a guy donning Rick Owens and some cute Tory Burch ladies. The bar is a bit of an anomaly, given the notorious history of the Irish in NYC, specifically their early status during the formative years of the city. This is a rare and more upscale nod to the term, Irish pub. I guess adding«Victorian» gives it that gilded goodness.

You can’t go wrong with Lillie’s…at least I think so. It’s a lively spot with good music, drinks, crowd, and the food is decent. I don’t go nuts for the food here, but I think it is better than the average bar food. They have a pretty good burger and a ‘burger & beer’ special during the weekdays(not at night). I mainly come here when I am meeting friends out for drinks. Always have a good time. The service is great and they have a healthy list of beers as well as very good cocktails. The Macademia Old Fashioned is a ‘Go-to’ for me. There is ample seating at the bar that runs about ¾ down the entire place. They have table seating throughout and accept reservations which I highly recommend. There almost always seems to be a crowd here unless you come at a really off time. They do have a few TVs, but this is by no means a sports bar. Sports fans may want to look elsewhere to catch the game unless you are happy to just have it on in the background. On nights presumed to be popular/busy, they usually have a DJ. The music selection is usually pretty eclectic here… but always upbeat. We got a great taste of 90’s hip hop and pop the last time we were there.

So I ended up here with some friends late Sunday afternoon/evening after brunch/day drinking and we were STARVING. There was a decent crowd and the place was beautiful. We were immediately seated and my friend and I shared a burger and an order of mozzarella sticks. Food overall was very good. The mozzarella sticks were amazing and clearly just made so we got another order. Service was pretty good as well — our waitress was attentive. We really just came in to meet someone and eat(not stay for a while) but at the end, they brought us a round of tequila shots on the house. I’m not sure why but I’ll take it. The crowd seemed okay and I don’t have any legitimate complaints. I liked the atmosphere a lot and would recommend/come back again for brunch, during the day, at night or even just for the mozzarella sticks.

Go back in time to the Victorian Era of Britain with social values, arts, literature, theatre, fashion, jewelry of women wearing cameos of Abalone shell, and Cherub angels which coincided with the Gilded Age of U.S. This bar and restaurant’s atmosphere setting of a Victorian parlor is very intense and nicely adorned with paintings, stain glass window, and a replicate wooden fireplace. Ornate cravings, antique lamps, wooden tables and chairs with velvet coverings very mellow and simple but practical close to authentic of Victoria period. I briefly studied Victorian era in my early youth days in high school and personally admired with a strong liking to this period. There is also a Grandfather clock on the premise. I was immersed in the paintings, Grandfather clock and cameo worn by the renowned British actress, Lillie Langtry which this establishment honors her life and work. Party of two on a Friday evening indulged on: Shepherd’s Pie with house salad $ 15.00 — comfort food to eat my friend’s fill and it comes with salad as most pubs do not accompany Full Irish Breakfast $ 18.00 — solid and abundant portion for fulfillment Customer service is very attentive and helpful to respond to my inquiries of hog’s pudding and white pudding which I wanted something outside my safety zone for a high desire to try the Irish Breakfast. However, I never cared for baked beans. There were no Irish soda bread to accompany this entrée which is traditionally served in Irish/Scotland regions. «I can resist everything except temptation.» — Oscar Wilde

So, I have always wanted to come here, and finally had decent reason to. $ 13 lunch special was good; I had a great fall salad and it came with a beer. I was a little bummed I couldn’t substitute for a house wine, but whatever. Everyone liked their food(burgers, chicken sandwiches, etc) and the atmosphere was«girly pub» basically. Only bummer was that our waitress SUCKKKKED. She was borderline rude and not helpful at all. She might as well have been slamming our drinks down and didn’t know simple questions like«What kind of beer do you have?»(her answer was: the menu should say). BUT I won’t let that deter me yet, with Chat ‘n Chew and Heartland gone, there aren’t many options for reasonable dining RIGHT on Union Square.
