So far I have no complaints, service was fast front desk girl was very friendly and chipper for 5pm appointment. Service started promptly although I was 15 minutes late. I just wished the vela shape was a bit longer. I’m hoping to see progress hopefully soon. I was told after the first 3 treatments so I’ll update.
The spa was clean with neat decorations. As long as my hair removal and vela shape treatment work they will have my money. Keep up the good work waiting to see progress before I refer my sister and mom.

My boyfriend got me a groupon that I finally got around to using recently. He bought me the 60-​minute traditional massage for $ 55 that was originally $ 99. The spa is located right in midtown on the second floor of a building. Upon arrival I was greated by a very nice staff memeber at the front desk. The spa/​space itself was very nice, clean and fresh. I was walked back to the massage room, which was very nice as well. My masseuse was great and she took the entire hour which was nice. She did my back, shoulders, legs and arms. Overall a great place and somewhere I will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Wonderful spa! Had laser Brazilian and lower leg. Bought coupons on groupon. Emily is great. The place is spotless and although a little bit painful worth it. No more waxing, ever!

Purchased a Groupon last year for laser hair removal. I liked that if they determined if the laser hair removal wasn’t appropriate for me I could get a refund so I was all in. Prior to going I called and spoke to the receptionist I wanted to ensure they had the appropriate laser for my skin tone and hair color. Which many locations do not cater to darker skin tones. After I was assured they they did (I had previously looked up the laser number so once she told me that number I was all in) when I originally went they were on 23^rd. They have since moved to 29^th street. It’s a better location nicely decorated and clean. I love Emily she always so perky, and nice. I loved my initial results and have since purchased another service and recommended others. So far so good. If anything changes I’ll update my review. But as of right now. I love this place for laser hair removal.

Purchased a groupon deal for 6 sessions. Paid around $ 150 after my discount on groupon. I opted for the Brazilian. For me, the scheduling part was a breeze. No hassle and very flexible.
Emily was so sweet and professional. She walked me through the whole process. She tried to make it as less painful as possible and she was a successful on that!
6 sessions later, I am hair free. It feels great to not shave at all. So I did put my money to a good use after all. Totally worth it I tell y’all!

Absolutely amazed on my experience at Lavenvelle Spa! The facilities are comfortably located in midtown Manhattan walking distance from Herald Sq. When you walk in the place is super cute, comfortable tufted sofas and friendly reception. But most of all this laser is great!!! I’ve had multiple laser treatment and I hate the pain, but this machine is very smooth. No zaps, no smell of burning hair, no need to numb my areas. As long as this place is open I will be a hair less person:))

Second time here and I love it! Staff is super friendly! I am not sure why some people have had a bad experience because I have no complaints. Great Groupon price and great massage! Thank you Jenny and Emily.

My mom and I stumbled upon this place after a long day of walking the city. Went for 30min foot massages. They only massaged our feet for 25 minutes, and that was it, feet only — no legs — or ankles. Then when we tipped for the 25 minutes the lady behind the counter said «not enough.»

Perfect local spot for a lunch hour massage!
I work around the corner and slept terribly and had the worst pull in my shoulders and back. The spa I usually frequent is across town and I really didnt feel like the walk. I got an email from Groupon promoting this is as a favorite and I thought… around the corner from my office… why not?
So glad I did! I booked a super last minute appointment and I was grateful they were able to make time. I told them I had a groupon and they didnt have any kind of attitude or try to turn me away, as other Unilocalers have reported.
Its upstairs next to a wholesale store (which is fine by me… less street noise and passing foot traffic) but once you get upstairs… it opens into a wonderfully girly purple decorated mini oasis! The place was so clean and smelled nice without being over-​powering.
The front desk girl was very friendly and I didnt wait long to be escorted to my room. Average sized small massage room with sliding doors. The room was clean and nicely dimly lit. Equip with its own heater (a big plus because who wants to be cold when they get a massage?) and a nice bench and hooks to hang your stuff before your massage.
I got settled in and I had Linda for my signature massage. She was very sweet and I told her about my shoulders and the pull I had. She adjusted her pressure til I was content and kept it consistent throughout the massage. Overall I was really happy and it was a great massage! She kept it exactly to an hour and made sure I had water and a mint waiting outside.
Little details count to me and I think they really do a great job for a small spa.
They gave me a punch card to use that honors my groupon price for the next 3 massages which was a nice gesture.
Im excited to return!

Was excited to try Lavenvelle. Called to book an appointment and they said they had availability and how much the massage would cost. I said I had a Groupon, was put on hold for several minutes, then told there actually was no availability! Heads up if you’re trying to visit with a Groupon…

This review is only for customer serve on the phone. So i purchased a package on groupon. I called them to make an appt. 1^st attempt to set up an appt– the receptionist on the phone put me on hold for 6 mins, thought she forgot about me, so I ended the call and i called back, nobody answered. I just assumed it wasn’t a good time because they might have been busy. I understand since they are running a promotion.
2^nd attempt– i called today to see if they had any appts for today, receptionist said, «hold on». same thing, I was on hold for 8 mins then someone hung up. Wt* I dont have time to waste anymore. Called groupon and got my money back.
I am sure its a great salon by reading all the positive reviews. First impression matters, i just couldn’t get past the scheduling !!!

I came here for a bday massage yesterday. This place is amazing. Small, quaint, clean and professional. I purchased a Groupon to this spa the day before and called to see if they had any available slots the following day. The receptionist is super nice and was not snarky at all about me using my Groupon. She quickly booked me for an afternoon appointment. I arrived late and she still was able to accommodate me, not once did she get an attitude. The bathroom was so clean and the massage room was relaxing. Julia, my masseuse has magical hands. My back has been killing me for weeks, I walked out of the place feeling like a brand new woman. I purchased a 60min signature massage, but Julia def worked on me for more than hour. When I left, the receptionist gave me a card with 3 more massages honored at the Groupon price that dont expire for a year. I will def be back again!

I purchased a Livingsocial deal at this spa for 6 sessions of laser hair removal. I have had 4 sessions so far. Every time, making an appointment has been a breeze. Very rarely have I had to wait more than a couple of minutes to start my session. And most of all– I am loving the results! I am getting the bikini area done and so far progress has been great. The process is not very painful– occasionally I get a little teary, but the pain level really is very manageable and comparable to waxing/​threading. Also, I was initially surprised by how quick each session was! I am usually in and out within 20 minutes. The staff are all very professional and the space is clean and well kept. I actually expanded my package to include another area and am glad to be giving this place my business.

Received a birthday Groupon. Spent it here. Wrote to the spa via the contact page on their website asking about available appointment times. No response. Called them the next morning and was able to book a same day appointment. Attitude polite but condescending.
Arrived for massage 15 minutes early. Was swiftly ushered into the room, though I was hoping to read some magazines on the couch. Was offered a nice cup of tea. The place was very clean and well-​maintained. Massage was thorough.
Was offered numerous more deals and a nice cup of water before leaving. Came home, left this review. They called me the next morning to «thank me for my review,» said they didn’t know it was my birthday (which they would have if they’d checked their website contact messages), and offered me more deals, saying «see you soon,» which they will not, as massages are not typical indulgences of mine.
Changed 4-​star review to 5 after that call, but then realized that did not honestly reflect my experience.

I purchased a groupon for Velashape and Emily was my technician, she is polite sweet and always professional I have had over 7 sessions and never had an issue. The Spa is beautifully decorated and always immaculate and clean. I just signed up for another 6 sessions because my results have bee great so far!

I went here for six Vela Shape II treatments. I had Emily. She was awesome. I did think the treatments would be longer since I was told 30 minutes. What happened was that was the first including consultation. The service averaged 15 to 18 minutes each which was short considering I come from Delaware, I asked and was told the temperature reached the desired temp and therefore service was finished. I wish they sold by time so maybe they could have done a little more. It’s sold by the area. I did stomach. It did help for sure, they do skin tag removals and my mom is starting there. I will too. Saw results and they looked very good. They offer direct specials so ask and give them a try.

It’s been almost 3 months since I finished my laser treatment and I am still very impress with the results. I have not needed to shave since. To begin with, I had thick hair when I first started. Now what’s left are light fuss around the areas that is barely noticeable. Emily, the technician, is really precise with the laser. I’m gay with my treatment and the results!

I came here for a massage, and I must say, I loved it. The environment was peaceful, the staff members were polite and the spa looked amazing! The door at the very first floor looked kind of sketchy, but the interior design is just, wow. The masseuse got all my stiff spots and I felt so at ease. After the treatment, I left the room with the biggest smile on my face and went home feeling as light as a feather.
