Best $ 1 plain slice I’ve had! I walked 3 long blocks just to get it even though it was in the opposite direction of my destination.

When you’re(well me) drunk, even bad pizza still taste damn good. Krust Pizzeria, you are the first pizza that has broken the record of drunken bad pizza turned good, cause you were just plain displeasing. Cheese was not stringy, not even close. Crust, I think I ate half-baked, I still tasted the soft chewy rawness. Sauce… was it just splatter with Henz ketchup all over?

I’m not a big pizza person but I have to say that this place has pretty amazing pizza. I’ve came here a few times and it never disappoints. If your ever around and looking for something fast and amazing definitely stop by.

I love dollar pizza! It’s the best thing to eat before and/or after drinking.

They were so skimpy on ingredients. Only raging hunger and a time constraint stopped me from going somewhere different. The crust was thin as hell, and the sauce and cheese were truly skimped upon.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place sells soggy cardboard with cheese. I’d rather pay two more dollars for Joe’s pizza down the street. Never again lol

I guess they keep the dollar-a-slice pies under wraps. I asked for a margherita and it was 3 bucks and that was the plainest pie I saw on display. Oh well, I knew it was bs. On the other hand, the name of the place is very appropriate. That margherita slice was ALL crust with one, yup, ONE piece of cheese towards the back. Guess Margherita was on a diet and decided I should be on one too. The rest was all a thin layer of very sweet tomato sauce. One piece of cheese for 3 bucks can kiss my italian a**. I ripped out the cheese part and tossed the rest. This city gets more ridiculous every day. Now I’m on the lookout for pizza topped with hipsters. Extra hot, please.

The worst dollar pizza — tasted like cardboard. I understand it’s just a dollar but some dollar pizza joints are good. They were cheap on every ingredient!

Had the chicken, bacon, and ranch slice and tried the white cheese pizza a few days ago. The price was pretty good — $ 3, though because of that, the $ 8 minimum makes it so that you have to order at least 3 slices(assuming you get toppings). As far as the quality, I thought the white cheese pizza was better than the chicken, bacon, ranch slice, but that it still wasn’t anything out of this world — the cheese was good, but not proportionally spread at all(the chunks were on one half instead of throughout it). The chicken, bacon, ranch slice was good, but the ranch was a little bit too much by the end of it. I found myself not finishing the slice because the ranch seemed too much to handle after a while. Overall, I’d say it was worth the try, but nothing to be overly excited about.

Very bland cardboard slice of dough they call pizza. I couldn’t taste the cheese or tomato sauce. For $ 1, I know I can’t expect quality pizza but at least make it taste like pizza. One star for being non-oily.

«I’m a $ 1 pizza afficianado. It tastes like they took a thin piece of cardboard, sprinkled a little bit of cheese and a tiny amount of sauce and called it pizza. Even the sauce wasn’t tasty and smelled slightly funny.» I didn’t like it either. Next.

One of the best $ 1 slice spots in the city, but who goes on Unilocal to look for dollar pizza anyway? I worked near this place one day this week when my finances were not in the greatest place. During the course of the entire day, I went to this place and ate a total of five slices, because the first was so damn good it was very surprising that I wasn’t paying $ 2.75. They put the extra attention and care to the details that places like 2 Bros could give a shit less about; such as properly hand tossing a thin, floppy crust, or making sure your slice is warmed up in the oven. They even provide ALL the spices for your topping pleasure, including parmesan cheese– I dare you to go to a 2 bros and even attempt to locate any Parmesan cheese in the entire joint, let alone one that is reserved specifically for customers! I’ve never rated a dollar pizza joint. If anything, This review is simply to help off-set some of these spoiled brat over privileged students who have rated this place a 1 or 2 because their taste buds were likely malfunctioning due to alcohol intoxication when they tried the pizza here. Get real people, it’s a dollar… How bad could it be to warrant a 1 or a 2 star review unless you found something grotesque on your slice?!

It’s a small pizza place with only a few stools. You can get a slice, eat it out on the sidewalk or where ever you are going. They had a 5 – 6 different pizzas to choose from even at 3am. They also had labels on their pizzas. I chose a pepperoni and bacon slice along with a plain pepperoni slice. They were hot and crispy with plenty of toppings. They even had a $ 1 cheese slice. Who complains about that?! It’s only $ 1 you shouldn’t expect much. Live a little and spend the extra $ 2 to get some flavor. The service was great. I liked that the young man behind the counter seemed to care about his customers. I saw him give a cup of water to a customer that looked a little sick. He didn’t even ask for the water. I’ll be back for great pizza and great service.

Crust has a very strong taste of olives. Not olive oil, just olives. This is just not my thing. Everything else is fine otherwise and it’s only a buck. The crust is also very very thin and crispy, in classic New York style, and there’s plenty of cheese. I recommend it to other people, even though I don’t eat here myself. It’s the olives.

Decent dollar slice. My go-to, but mostly because I’m too lazy to walk any further. Would rather eat a whole pie here than a bite of the garbage that is Artichoke pizza.

One of the best dollar slices you can get. Ideal for stumbling out of a bar and grabbing a slice on your way to the L train(right out front). It’s certainly not the best pizza around, but in the $ 1 category it’s heads above the competition. And the location mixed with the hours make for fun times(the last time I went in there I got a lapdance from a NYU freshmen while waiting for my slice). Not my favorite food spot on the block, but a safe bet for when everything else closes down and you still need to get some food before heading home.

When I have a slice here I usually think, I know this 1 dollar slice is good because its better then the average pizzerias that still charge 2.50. The sauce here is well seasoned and there is a good amount of cheese. The crust here is not to thick and crunchy. It’s a dollar guys, so if your unhappy you’ll still have enough money to go to $$$$ place, so don’t overthink it and just go eat here

Look it’s dollar slice pizza. I’m all about managing expectations and this place pleasantly surprised me. Nice thin crust not too doughy, generous with the cheese. And it’s not over cooked and crusty which drives me crazy. So for that 4 stars Also they had Parmesan cheese available which is all too often a rarity.

$ 1 plain slice here is on point! It always has a slightly crunchy krust but so chewy and soft in your mouth. I come here every time I’m on my way to the bars in the East Village. The other slices are good too, but how can you beat one of the best plain slices for $ 1?! The place is also a good spot to just chill out of the weather for a second while you’re waiting for your pizza. During the summer it does get hot inside. The eating area is just an open space with two standing bars on each side. Not fancy, but get your grub on(I’ve definitely had 4 slices of plain there once, disgusting I know.), get to the bar, and have a fantastic night!
