**NOWCLOSED** Came here a lot to get my shaved ice and pastry fix. A Tous les Jours has opened up in its place … and it doesn’t disappoint — give it a shot.

I come here strictly for the shaved ice. In Korean it’s called Patbingsu. It’s around $ 9 per bowl, but the portions are large enough to share with one or two other people. My favorite choices would have to be the fruit, green tea, and coffee(which covers most of the menu). See pictures. The pastries that are sold at the counter are not that great. But if you are in the mood for pastries, get the apricot napoleon wafers that are sold in the clear, plastic take-out boxes. They’re light and fluffy and not too sweet. It’s pretty busy in here but I usually manage to find a seat at the last minute. The waiters aren’t overly friendly, but they take your orders efficiently, so no complaints here! This would be a great place to grab dessert after eating a heavy Korean BBQ meal in the neighborhood.
