these guys consistently get my order wrong and never deliver on time

Can’t believe I am doing a 5 star review for a salad spot, but this one is well deserved! First off, I normally am not the biggest fan of salads. Don’t get me wrong, I like them, but they are not typically something I order when I go out to eat. But multiple people suggested this spot to me, so I decided to try it out and boy am I glad I did. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and it was probably the best salad I ever had, or at least very close to it. The atmosphere was nice, there were open seats, the food display was good. The line went pretty fast and the salad came in a pretty large quantity, which is one of the reasons I gave this place 5 stars. The salad was nicely chopped, there was a decent amount of chicken and they were generous with the dressing. Taste wise, the salad was great and I will definitely be coming back and will be trying other items on their menu.

I own a container because I love this place that much. I just wish they were open later but cant have it all after all. The salads are very filling and they are not stingy with the toppings, which is great given most salad places give a bowl full of greens and minimal amounts of everything else. NOTHERE! They have a good selection of salads and vary in healthiness plus customers can custom make their own. I love substituting ingredients or adding toppings depending on how i feel that day so that option is always a plus with me. The dressing are varied and also some healthier than others like all else in the shop. The best part is the price. The salads are affordable in comparison to other places and you will actually be full a few hours so all in all my favorite salad place.

I had no idea how great these salads where! As a newbie, you could be intimidated by all the options. I recommend getting the reusable bowl– you get more toppings. They label their stuff pretty well so you can see what’s vegan or not. My only issue if the boards they chop on probably have all kinds of stuff on them like meat.

I used go to this location all the time during work because I love their salads and their service is quick. I’m never going back now though since the last two times I’ve gone I’ve been overcharged. The manager was notified both times and I still have not received my money back. I paid with Level Up and no customer service representative at Level Up or Just Salad was able to give me a refund EITHER time. Was promised money would be back to me last night after midnight but that never happened. Was told I’d need to walk back to store, call several different people and email even more personal information than necessary to get my money back. It’s not hard to refund a customer $ 1.80YOU incorrectly charged them twice to keep someone who has gone to this store every day for the last seven months. Would give zero star if I could.

Can you believe I’ve been walking all the way to Maiden Lane, not realizing there was one 2 blocks away from me? Gah! I really like just salad, as far as the places you can get a good chopped salad, they offer a lot of variety and are super reasonably priced. This location is narrow though so for the lunch time rush you’re in there like sardines waiting in line to place your order, then move over to the chopping station. There’s not much room to move. But it’s ok because I keep coming back here.

I’ve been going to this place A LOT since it opened. It’s clean, the salads are good, and the service is decent. There’s one guy who doesn’t seem to want to be there and doesn’t chop the salads very good, and there’s one guy who REALLY chops the salads well, but overall everyone is friendly. The variety of ingredients could be better and less hipster-y(a lot of lentil/quinoa, etc but no bacon at all), but it’s a great healthy lunch location in an area surrounded by fast food and pizza places.

I tried the Sumner Saigon salad, which wasn’t bad. The salad was fresh, but I felt like all the veggies tasted sort of meshed in together without anything being particularly memorable. That may have been my fault, because I asked for the salad to be chopped up and smooshed together. My only gripe is that I paid 13 dollars for a relatively small bowl of salad and 5 dinky little shrimp. I realize that their rent is probably too damn high, but I really can’t see any justification for paying that much for food.

I got the Summer Saigon salad and it was just ok. Need to spice things up a bit. The pickled carrots and daikon have no flavor, just taste sour. For salad, Chopt still wins my vote with their Russian Bacon dressing. Good chicken soup though. Lots of thick noodles and excellent dill flavor.

Was going to get a salad elsewhere when I just happened to walk by this place during their first week being open, so I decided to give it a try. I have been here twice now — the first time I had the Saigon Summer salad, and was extremely disappointed. It mostly tasted of basil and pickled vegetables in each bite. Those flavors were way too overwhelming. And they give you a small portion of shrimp compared to salads elsewhere in the area(i.e. Macaron Café). Today I decided to give them another shot. Keeping in mind NOT to try any more of their seasonal salads, and NEVER to get one of their salads with shrimp again. This time I had the Smokehouse Steak salad. There is a kick to the ranch dressing and there are jalepenos in the salad, so you have to like some heat to enjoy this(which I do). If I ever get this again I will ask to replace the Feta with a different cheese. The salad was just too rich with the combination of the Feta cheese and Smoky Poblano Ranch dressing. I’d prefer Feta in a salad with a lighter dressing, like a vinaigrette. I like that this place participates in LevelUp payment app and offers rewards to frequent users with the Just Salad app.(If interested, we each get $ 3 with this link )

Today is another grand opening of yet another salad chain. Perfect timing as we’re entering swimsuit season and what’s a better way to keep a friendly figure than a bowlful of green(although not all salads are created equal). As an opening PR tactic, Just Salad teamed up with Food Bank NYC for ‘pay as you wish’ lunch hour 12 – 1:30pm. With trained employees and a watchful and friendly manager on hand, the long line moved smoothly and the process of getting your good was only about 15 minutes long. As this is a corporate company, there’s certain quality control, so you should come in with a set expectation. I chose the Tulum shrimp salad since that’s really the only preset option with seafood. While the greens are plentiful, the protein was small and dainty. When all chopped up, you could hardly tell that there’s even any crustaceans in there. Since all the ingredients are prepped beforehand, the salad isn’t really ‘fresh’, but more like assembled a la minute. For $ 10, it’s not the cheaper lunch choices out there, but for one’s health, sometimes you just need to invest a bit more.

I stopped in today for their grand opening event, jostling my way through a crowd there for the«pay what you want» charity event for the Food Bank of New York. Considering the line – it went out the door and about 75 feet down the block – I was in and out far quicker than expected. But today was an anomaly, and the real issue is food and service. The team in this well-lit location was hopping, moving people along, chopping salads, and taking payments(or donations today). They were polite despite the hustle and bustle, and I ended up with a nicely done salad. My choice today was the Buffalo Kale Caesar, a mix of greens, chicken, Parmesan cheese, carrots, croutons, and spicy buffalo dressing. If you didn’t know, your salad is typically chopped, ensuring a bit of everything in each bite. If you want, they’ll even mince it into a slurry, but that’s rather extreme. The point is they ask if they have chopped it to your liking, and will go further if you wish. I was very satisfied with my lunch – and, since I have gained a bit of weight thanks to being a Unilocal Elite defending his TriBeCa baronship, salad and vegetables are going to play a bigger role in my lunch plans for a while – and would definitely return… but maybe after the initial week’s festivities are over.
