On a testé les snacks(onion rings et frites) et les desserts(cheesecake et carrot cake): tout est très bon, les portions sont conséquentes mais pas démesurées, on reussit à finir sa part de cheesecake sans écoeurement, c’est presque un exploit ! Seul problème: ils n’indiquent pas les allergènes… Pensez à demander au serveur(les onion rings étaient frits dans de l’huile de cacahuète par exemple…). Mais ça reste une très bonne adresse pour découvrir les desserts américains!

Ah my first stop in NYC after my red eye flight. I’m not sure if this place really tasted as good as I thought or if it was just because I had about 4 hours of sleep but man this was one of the best breakfasts I think I’ve ever had. For starters I had a cappuccino, very good and not too sweet. For a meal I choose the classic eggs Benedict with home fries. The eggs were delicious and cooked perfectly! The home fries were great too. The spices were delicious and the consistency had just the right amount of crisp. Overall I loved this place! The food, service and atmosphere were great. A little diner in the big city. Love it!

So, I *finally* had a chance to try this place out. My friend and I were seated pretty quickly. The host took us to one of the regular tables, but we asked if we could sit at one of the booths, which she graciously allowed. Our waiter came right away and he(I think his name was Todd) was very friendly and funny. He took the time to get to know us by asking us questions and he had jokes, which at times were a bit cheesy but I appreciated the effort. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger which came with cheddar cheese and had the choice of raw or sauteed onions. I had the sauteed onions. In addition to the burger, steak fries AND onion rings were on the, which I thought was quite generous, as most restaurants will only allow one side. I was impressed when I was presented with the burger. It was quite large and had tons of perfectly crispy bacon(sans the fat, always a plus in my book!) That burger was very good… Juicy, flavorful and filling! The onion rings were also huge, but they were not as crispy as I would have liked. The french fries were decent. Fluffy and full of potato-y taste. Then, of course I had to taste their cheesecake. The waiter suggested Devil’s Food cheesecake which he sold me on. It consisted of layers of chocolate frosting, chocolate cake, cheese cake and chocolate chips. And it was delicious, delectable, delightful, divine and positively decadent. So very creamy, chocolate-y, rich, velvety, sweet, melt in your mouth wonderful! Plus, it was a huge piece which took me several days to finish. I had a great first impression and experience at Junior’s!

Let’s say that this is the best cheesecake in the world… hence the 4 stars. The line to get in this place is testimony as to how amazing the sweet delectable dessert of the gods really is. It took us nearly 40 minutes to weasel into a single seat at the bar. While there, the bartender mixed up a few solid libations, though he seemed more interested in conversing with my female companion then paying attention to me. I’ve grown accustomed to this occurrence and found entertainment in conversing with a few folks at the bar. The main menu food appeared standard which didn’t create an appetite for me, but I wasn’t there for any regular food; I was there for CHEESECAKE! I ordered a sinful red velvet cake cheesecake that blew my taste-buds away. The cake was so filling that it took 3 days to finish the enormous portion. NYC… it’s a good thing you over 150 miles away or else I’d be there weekly.

Apparemment c’est ici qu’il y aurait l’un des meilleurs cheesecake de NYC. Et bien pas pour moi. Ce fut pas mal mais c’est de la grosse artillerie et c’est bien trop sucré. Dés que nous avons fini nous sommes poussés vers la sortie et ce n’est pas très agréable. Qui plus est c’est vraiment cher pour ce que c’est(20 $ pour manger à table 2 parts de cheesecake et se partager une petite bouteille d’eau…)

In a word, I found Junior’s … so-so. I realize Junior’s is a big thing out here for their cheesecake, so I felt compelled to at least give it a try. We ordered: Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion Rings & Steak Fries Not bad. Quite a decent size. The burger itself was slightly overcooked. Reuben — Corned Beef, Grilled Sauerkraut, Swiss on Rye I enjoyed the Reuben more than the burger. Piled high with corned beef. Thank goodness for cheese & sauerkraut to balance out the meat. It also came with something that looked like tartar sauce. Cheesecake — It seems like everybody loves Junior’s cheesecake, but I did not appreciate how dense and heavy it was. It kind of gave me the impression of cutting through butter. I suppose this is the consistency of traditional NY cheesecake. So it boils down more to personal preference. & I prefer a lighter, fluffier cheesecake, or no cheesecake at all. On a late Saturday night, about 10:30 ish, we waited about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn’t too bad since it was crowded and hectic. I appreciate that they stay open late. The food is very typical diner food, but I found it all rather expensive. I guess the prices are driven by its reputation and popularity.

I love how this place is open very late, even thought at 10:30pm there was still a wait. It’s a huge restaurant in the center of the tourist district near Times Square. They have a smaller more casual place next to the restaurant. We decided to get the Devils food cheesecake, which I really liked. We also got a lemon cake which was also good. I would say that the cakes were solid, but nothing that’s amazing amazing. For the convenience and fast service, I think it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area and want a place to rest your legs and grab some bites. The menu aside from desserts is quite extensive so you may want to try food too.

This review is purely based on the strawberry cheesecake, I didn’t eat in the restaurant. I was so excited to try Juniors as I have heard it is NYC’s best, but I was disappointed! I didn’t want to be, but I wasn’t a massive fan of the strawberry cheesecake. I found the portion size to be great(although it should be at $ 7.95!), and I enjoyed the cheesecake part and biscuit but I was not a fan of the strawberry topping. It was like jello?! It just didn’t fit with the dessert. In the end I scraped it off, but found overall the dessert to be too rich for me and left me feeling like it was all a bit too much. Maybe a different flavor may convince me otherwise, but they don’t all have a biscuit base which is the thing I did actually like about this cheesecake. I would not consider it to be New York’s finest…

They say this is the best cheesecake… ever! So my expectations were pretty high. Stopped by here after seeing a show around 1030 and it was packed! Everyone else had the same idea and so it took about 25 minutes to get seated. Since it was very busy the service was pretty terrible, which I can kind of understand. But our server was a little rude. You should be able to handle the pressure of peak times in my opinion. Anyways on to the food. I ordered the turkey sandwich and was appalled by what came out. A LOT of turkey slices, so that was a plus, came out on two flimsy pieces of bread and a tiny limp piece of lettuce. NOSAUCENOTHINGELSE. Completely dry. Looks like something I could have gotten at 7⁄11 except they charged me $ 15 for it. So disappointing. I don’t know how anyone could serve such a sandwich. Now for the cheesecake. I had heard that they have the best cheesecake around so my expectations were pretty high. For the table we ordered the devils food, original, and red velvet cheesecakes. The red velvet cheesecake had a strange consistency and the red velvet cake was a little too dry and hard. The devils food cheesecake was the best one by far! The chocolate part was nice and rich and the combination of that with the cheesecake was excellent. The original cheesecake was all cheesecake, no crust. In my opinion the crust is as equally important as the cheesecake. Sad times.

Famous for their Strawberry shortcake cheesecake(which I just found out is discontinued) Junior’s is not too far from Radio City and right in Time Square. We came here for lunch right before our show. Atmosphere: This place is super busy and PACKED. It took a minute just to get through to the front hostess to place a name for a party of 7 for lunch. Most people are waiting inside to hear their name called(hostess does not go outside to call names. must wait inside or you’re S.O.L.) It would be at least 30mins till our name was called. But we were called with in 10mins(the list goes by fast if you are not present) They have tables inside and out in the front patio. The décor is of history through out NYC. Quite clean and nice and open. Food: Menu caught my eye and was quite easy to read through. Lots different delicious choices. –MATZOHBALLSOUP(cup)_ (was ok. broth was similar to chicken soup. Matzoh ball tasted homemade. comforting) –BROILEDCODFILET Florentine Rice and Vegetable (perfectly broiled. savory season. buttery rice. snap peas were nice and crunchy.) (highly recommended) –CHEESEBLINTZES Strawberry Sauce and Sour Cream (comes with 3 medium sized blintzes. nice crunchy exterior with a cheese center. goes well with the strawberry sauce and sour cream. different but good) –BRISKETMELT Fresh Brisket of Beef, Mozzarella, Sautéed Onions and Peppers with French Fries (amazing sandwich. hefty portion. can feed 2. brisket was cooked to perfection. not try. savory and tender. the bread and meat portion with perfect and the bread was not dry and not thick; just right. streak style fries were addicting.) –cannot go wrong with this entrée Dessert –FRESHSTRAWBERRYCHEESEPIE (enough to share between 4 people. fresh. not too sweet. just right.) Service: not too bad. even though this place is hectic waiters do their best to serve. slow on water refills but«A-ok» service. Overall: A tough time to get through to put your name on the list but its just people waiting around for their names to be called. List goes by quickly. Very nice place for lunch/dinner. Very good food and of course desserts. Very satisfying. Hope their reservation/wait list management will improve. Will definitely come back for good food.

This place is as good as it gets, simply! Original, simple, Great! Everything from staff and service to the food is perfection. This place gets busy so plan accordingly. We had no wait, seated immediately, and greeted right away. We were planning on a small bit since we had already had a bite, but after sharing the reuben combo with my wife, we had to get another one. Portion could be a bit more generous, but then again regular portions rarely fill me up… The bread was perfectly done, meat to the brim, and side sauce made it magical! We finished off with their original cheesecake, one of the best we had. If you’re in the area, Junior’s is a must!

Esta cadena con muchos sucursales y la histórica en brookling tiene unas hamburguesas llenas de chedar y panceta que son todo lo que está bien(y todo lo que tapa arterias también, pero no importa). Este local en brodway es bien grande e incluso ofrece mesas afuera. La atención es buenísima y rápida. La carta ofrece toda la comida clásica norteamericana. Coman hamburguesas. Jugosas, suculentas. Acompañadas con buenas papas. Es famoso el cheesecake de este lugar que lamente no haber probado, pero realmente las porciones son demasiado grandes. Los precios están bien. Acorde a otros lugares del estilo. Baños en buenas condiciones y un lugar apartado donde te venden cosas dulces para llevar.

Riesige Portionen und je nach Mitarbeiter kann man einen super Service erwarten. Wartezeit von 10 – 15 Minuten muss man in Kauf nehmen, aber sehr gut organisiert. Käsekuchen sind riesig und fein. Immer ein Besuch wert.

Évidemment vous devez patienter avant d’obtenir une table mais c’est une chose habituelle lorsque vous souhaitez manger sur Times square :) J’ai commandé un sandwich qui né valait pas grand-chose rien d’extraordinaire et sans accompagnement ! Un ami a choisi un burger qui n’avait rien d’exceptionnel dont préférez plutot un burger dans un diner du coin! Le serveur vous pousse à la consommation… Et n’oublie pas de vous rappeler de lui laisser des tips ! Je trouve ceci déplacé surtout dont la manière que c’est dit ! Au final une addition élevé pour pas grand chose et sans saveur … Passez chemin!

N’allez pas dans ce Resto! C’est juste un piège à touristes ou ils vous incitent à prendre des suppléments payants, un dessert, une autre boisson etc. Beaucoup de monde mais je né sais pas pourquoi. Il y a tellement de bon Resto authentiques a New York né perdez pas votre temps ici! J’ai regretté d’être venu! J’ai pris un sandwich au poulet servi seul sans accompagnement !!! $ 14 ht pour ça! Le poulet été coupé en morceau et servi dans une sauce aucun goût et je n’avais pas la moindre idée de ce que c’était… A ma table une amie a pris le burger franchement pas beau à voir et rien de bon. La boisson n’est pas refillable. La deco est pas mal mais c’est vraiment très bruyant + la musique + la clim a fond… Bref évitez !!!

Oui ça fait longtemps que j’y suis allée(plus de 2 ans en fait), mais ça né m’empêche pas de vous livrer ma critique sur Junior’s ! Après une méga salade caesar, j’ai bien sûr commandé THE cheese cake ! Et quel cheese cake ! Je crois que je né me suis toujours pas remise de la hauteur du gâteau(15 bons cm ! oui oui !), ni de son fondant ! Il faut avouer que je né suis pas arrivée au bout, mais je garderai(en plus du menu tombé malencontreusement dans mon sac !) un souvenir ému de cette expérience new yorkaise !

Bien que l’on soit assis, la nourriture ressemble pas mal à ce que vous pourriez trouver dans un fast food… Hamburger, Oinion Rings… La salle est assez bruyante et vous gratifira d’une musique de fond«typiquement américaine». Aux beaux jours, la terrasse est, à mon avis, bien plus agréable. Junior’s est une institution newyorkaise… principalement grâce à ses«Cheesecakes». Pour de nombreux newyorkais, ils font partie des meilleurs de la ville(je leur fait confiance, je né suis pas spécialiste en Cheesecake). Si vous né prenez pas de vin(ni d’eau minérale à plus de 6 $), l’addition est correcte vue la quantité impressionnante de nourriture présente dans l’assiette. Les portions sont«américaines» !!! Pour un mangeur normal, un plat suffit, surtout si vous comptez goûter au cheesecake !
