I had a latte this week, could tell the espresso was good quality and enjoyed the organic milk. It was simple and nothing too special, a little too bland for me, and I would of liked it hotter. Next time I’ll try one of the specialty drinks and request it extra hot. The macaroons(coconut kind not french) looked tasty but I thought $ 2 a pop was a little pricey for how small they were. They have a caffeinated frozen yogurt. which seems like it would taste a little weird to me. But, you might save yourself a couple dollars & yourself awkwardly juggling cups if you ordering that vs a froyo and a coffee :)

Delicious Stumptown coffee and froyo + friendly employees! Really nothing to complain about with Joyride. I’m so glad they are in Midtown East every Thursday, since this area is a wasteland for decent coffee. The froyo is pretty similar to Pinkberry, etc. and you get unlimited toppings. I’ve only had the caffeinated version once, but it did taste a little weird and medicinal. The coffee is fantastic — they have some signature drinks, but I prefer the standard latte/iced lattes, which are strong and well-prepared. Get the punch card, for every 10 coffees/froyos you buy, you get a free one(any size!) In the winter they had a yogurt parfait(with real yogurt, not froyo), and I wish they would bring that back.

Have a Joyride froyo because you hate the taste of generic frozen yogurt mix because you think frozen yogurt is too sweet and creamy because you want all your worse preconceptions of frozen yogurt from bodegas, malls, pinkberry, red mango shattered to bits and pieces. and have a taste of Sri Lanka while you’re at it too by asking for their Jaggery topping.

Every Tuesday I get my fro-yo with all the fruit toppings, it’s the best in the city(and I’ve tried many!!!). Their coffee is great, too… though I don’t get it as often as the fro-yo… The sales people are friendly, and do small talk as you wait… also you can get the joyride card, and get a stamp each time you buy a yogurt and the 10th one is free… I usually get the small ones, but the free they always give me a large. Love this truck and their food and services…

Next Food Truck review… Joyride! First, the truck is so adorable looking! My husband and I split a medium yogurt with kiwi and strawberries as toppings. Yogurt was fresh, tasty, and overall among the best frozen yogurt in the City. Girls on the truck very friendly and patient. Can’t wait to find them again. P. S. Read the review from Cara… this is NYC… you want fresh air, move upstate. All those big buildings that make up our City, including the one you probably live in create more air pollution than you could ever imagine.

Joyride is definitely still up there as far as coffee goes, but I’ve had a couple bad/weird experiences that really take it down a notch for me. First, I moved away from my regular Iced Dickens to a special drink with powdered hot chocolate mix. I wondered how they could get the mix to melt in a cold drink, but trusted that they would figure it out since it’s on the specials board. Nope. My first sip was 100% powder. I stirred and stirred and still kept getting chunks of powder in every sip. For $ 5.50, I couldn’t throw it out, but I probably should have. The other issue is that they charge an extra $.50 for iced drinks. They say because the cup is 16oz instead of 12, but at least 80% of the cup is ice! I would understand if the larger size meant more espresso or more milk, but it has the same amount or less– so why am I paying over $ 5 for a small iced latte? I still get a coffee here every time I pass it, but I’m a bit disenchanted and I hope they keep being friendly and improving the drinks as the summer goes on.

The highlight of my Tuesday morning is ordering breakfast from Joyride Truck. Their lattes always hit the spot & the ham and cheese croissant is a personal fave. The iced coffee is good, but only comes in one size. A bummer since some of us require a lot more caffeine. You hear that, Joyride? I got needs!. And moves you’ve never seen.

I am now officially in love with the fro-yo as well… It’s like a frozen greek yogurt that is fat free. I really I can have Joyride everyday… but alas… only on Saturdays now since they aren’t in the UWS all weakened, just Saturdays now.

This truck has started to hang out by NYU. Hmm… I’d say the coffee is a little bitter, but the guy in the truck, at least this past Monday, was super sweet and had a nice smile. I’ll try the froyo next time!

Worst. Fro-yo. Ever. JOYRIDE = SCAM. All you can eat toppings? Oh yeah, this sub-par $ 7 ripoff comes with a MASSIVEHOLEOFMISSINGFRO-YO in the cup, puh-lease! No amount of slopped on fruity pebbles is going to save your overpriced half-full cup. You’re paying more than what you would at other yogurt places, only you’re getting enough fro-yo only a baby would enjoy(note: I spend most of my summer days crying like a baby due to the NYC heat and this wouldn’t pacify even the mildest meltdown). Save your singles New Yorkers and head to Mister Softee; I recommend the Chocolate and Vanilla twist with a cherry dip, delicious!

Ah Joyride Frozen yogurt and coffee food truck. Aptly named, as seeing the truck gives me joy to the mornings. Very friendly staffs and their coffees are good wake-me-ups to tackle an early morning. Better tasting and more personable than say, Starbucks Coffee. Their flat whites and lattes are good and warms your soul on a cold day. I also like their fro yo. While not as tart as Pinkberry or red mango, it still satisfies my cravings when I want fro-yo and don’t feel like walking to the nearest yogurt shop. Unlimited toppings too to fill up your cup, which is a plus. I thought it was creative to have a fusion of caffeine and yogurt mixed in 1. Best of both worlds, I say! Sometimes, I’d just order fro yo with a dose of caffeine; win-win situation! Buzz me up, fro yo!

On Tuesdays, I walk to work with a little spring in my step because, On Tuesdays, I treat myself because, On Tuesdays, Joyride sits a block from my office. The first time I saw this beautiful blue behemoth with the Art Deco-esque Joyride light in the back, I was so curious at this new development that I nearly walked straight into oncoming traffic. I got to the front of the line and I nearly jumped out of my trainers when the bright Stumptown brown bags alerted me that this was my kind of coffee truck. I ordered a Kubota because I was seriously sleepy and usually swallow three espresso shots before the day’s end anyways, so why not get it all in before they day starts? right? wrong. The driver explained it was three double shots and gave me two doubles instead. Thank god for that nice lady because even watered down, the whole day I jumped at the slightest movement and my computer vibrated as if I had swallowed a tab of acid instead of four espresso shots. Needless to say, I learned my lesson. Now I am a strict Balzac lady, a double shot of espresso with a double shot of Mariebelle hot cocoa and frothed milk and there you have it, the perfect way to start a hard day’s work. Joyride, is in fact just that, a joyous ride dispensing perfect coffee, refreshing fro-yo and fine baked goods with some of the loveliest truck sellers this side of the hudson.

The perfect morning pick-me-up! You always get service with a smile, as well as tasty coffee. My favorite is the ham and cheese croisant they carry. It’s $ 3.50($ 1.50 cheaper than The Sweetery Truck) and delicious! Have them heat it up, takes just a few seconds. Make sure to grab napkins!

Hooray, Joyride is finally out after all the wintry weather! I went today when the truck was at Park and 26th. Frozen yogurt, coffee, specials… can even buy bag of coffee and some popcorn too! Frozen yogurt flavors: original, «buzzed»(original with a shot of caffeine), and brand-new French vanilla. There was also a yogurt parfait for $ 4.50, a little more than a small plain yogurt($ 4). So, I mainly came for the froyo. The original was only lightly tart, which was just fine for me and my sister-in-law. I was curious about the«buzzed» flavor… will have to come back and try tht next time. Toppings: fruit, almonds, granola, and some chocolate candy. Not sure if toppings cost extra. Service was awesome: casual yet polite convo and she provided more info for me to keep up with the truck throughout the week. I was amused with peering into the truck and saw the froyo machine near the front of the truck. Toppings were displayed along the side window(where you order). There’s something about eating frozen yogurt while the temperature is freezing outside. At least the yogurt won’t melt as easily!

Just tried my first cup today. Read on Unilocal that it was creamy. Also read it was icy. Well, which is it?! I had trouble deciding… it’s creamy! Wait, no, too cold to be creamy, it’s icy! Conclusion-it’s icy texture with a creamy taste. Bingo! $ 4 for a small plus tax so bring change. Not a fan of the gaping hole in the middle of my froyo, but am a fan of the unlimited toppings!

News Flash!, The Joyride Truck spotted on Hudson St. TOday. And gotz me a joyride crush. Not only was my vanilla soy latte bad ass, the creator, oh so lovely and friendly. Took gentle care in my beverage prep. sampled me a buzzed froyo, not what I expected. Didn’t know what to think, still dont.(not much into the froyo scene)

Really friendly yogurt dude. They just started this truck and it’s pretty good stuff. Unlimited toppings. Icier and lighter than Pinkberry or Red Mango, and not quite as sweet. Usually near Lincoln Center or UWS along Broadway.

I have been enjoying Joyride’s frozen yogurt offerings with unlimited toppings when they have stopped in Lincoln Center recently. The tangy yogurt is refreshing(less creamy, more icy, the way I like it). They let you load it up with as many toppings as you can name. I am partial to the kiwi and chocolate covered rice nibs, but the blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are always fresh. An additional discovery has been a most pleasant surprise. The coffee, supplied by Stumptown, is truly awesome. The truck has been parked on 52nd and 6th recently during morning hours and I have taken away both hot and iced coffees. They were both superb. Midtown is lacking in its access to quality coffeehouses and fortunately, Joyride provides an oasis in this desert. The people staffing the trucks are always top notch. They are happy to answer questions about the product and excited about providing great service.

Simply put, this truck is a great idea. Take froyo, add fruit(just like pinkberry), and add some caffeine. Gives the appropriate pick-me-up for the afternoon. Plus, the truck is run by two very friendly staffmembers(one of them the owner).
