I rolled into Jebon on a humid Monday night with my squad after we couldn’t decide on a place to eat. Jebon offers sushi and noodles and a variety of drinks. I ordered a basic chicken pad thai, which honestly, is difficult to mess up. It was extremely saucy and unfulfilling. What really grinded my gears was the shitty customer service. I had to ask for an extra fork from three different waiters. And when we were clearly done with our food, they didn’t clear the tables or offer us the check. I would let that slide but when my friends and I asked for the check, they were NEGLECTING us. Like what’s a girl gotta do to get her check??? My friends and I asked countless times to different waiters and not one came with the check. They didn’t even pick up the check until I literally held it up to grab their attention. God bless our souls for tipping. Also I suggest using less sauce on the pad thai.

Grabbed a seat here quickly as it was mostly empty. The sushi was edible and the pork belly ramen was not very tasty… sad looking actually. The mango and lychee slurpies was a nice touch at the end. The cleaning products they use on table is strong smelling. Maybe use less concentrated stuff?

I am slacking on my reviews, huh?! Came to Jebon Sushi & Noodle with two old friends on a Friday, three weeks ago for dinner. We met up to partially catch up but also because my friend also received an offer for his job as a financial advisor, woop woop! Anyway, we ordered two lychee martinis(they said it was pretty nice – I’m not a fan of lychee but I took a sip and it was a bit too sweet/strong for my liking), garlic fries(yum) and bbq ribs(yum too) from the happy hour menu. We ordered the Jebon Roll, Black Dragon Roll and the Crazy Roll. Not bad, not bad. Friend said the music is wack, but hey the great, roomy atmosphere and good service makes up for it. Our glasses of water were attentively filled and we didn’t get eyes for staying longer after we’ve finished our meal and continued to chat. A-OK.

Very nice atmosphere. The restaurant is very roomy by St. marks standards. The yakitori is okay, sushi is average, the highlight of the menu to me is the Spicy noodle. The staff here are all very polite and friendly. Hostess is very welcoming, even when it gets crowded they do try to accommodate as best they can. Overall, good spot.

Yum! Went here because I was craving chinese/Japanese food. I ordered the bbq spare ribs and the seaweed salad for takeout. The ribs were absolutely delicious, very flavorful, fall off the bone ribs. The seaweed salad was absolutely delicious as well, it tasted very fresh. It was weird that they had chunks of tomato and lettuce in the salad but it was very good anyway. From what I saw, the décor looked really nice and neat, definitely going to try to go back when I visit New York again!

Solid place for lunch or dinner with a lively menu and drinks selection. My favorite dishes were any sushi or ramen. Their drink menu looked very appealing and creative. We did not wait that long for dinner, one spontaneous night in October(we did not have a reservation). As we walked past the main entrance and bar, being escorted down the hallway to our table, I was surprised how large the seating capacity was. They appear to also have another seating level downstairs and the entire restaurant was romantically decorated with dim lighting and Christmas lights along the handrails overlooking the lower level. We downed our food and drinks fast. The servers kept up to our speed and we did not even wait that long to be served both dishes and drinks. They refilled our water in a timely mannered and gave our check. They are very fast and proficient, plus the food is good for the price level.

I had the Extreme Spicy Beef Ramen and my daughter had the Coconut Seafood Ramen and they both were excellent. Really good place and definitely will make my way back there this time with my girlfriend.

Went here for dinner Sunday night. Only a few ppl. Nice décor, even in back. Servers were timely and polite. However, literally a minute after my friend and I bit into our sushi entrees our stomachs felt something. I ordered the Spicy Tuna sushi roll and forget what he ordered but it was a combo with salmon roe. If it was just one of us you might chalk into to our bodies… But both of us at the same time? Additionally, the Spicy Tuna Roll was too salty and just not the delicious roll I’m used to having. They also have no brown rice and didn’t offer low sodium soy sauce, which even places in deep suburban jersey offer. We had to rush to his place to use the bathroom after leaving. Needless to say, won’t go there again.

A co-worker recommend that I try this spot for a happy hour. The restaurant was in a pretty cool area, and it was a diverse crowd. I like sushi, but by no means am I an expert in it or Japanese food for the matter. So i trusted the bartender fully, and had her recommend what I should eat So I tried the beef skewers and the fried tempura first. Man, they were delicious. Very tasty, and the beef skewers were perfectly cooked. Next up, the sushi. I tried the mango sushi, which was a combination of sweet and salty. I’m not a sweet and salty kind of guy, but I decided to take a chance. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t my thing. Next time, I’ll stick to what like. My experience was a great one, and I’ll definitely be back to try something different.

This place is great for late night dinner, drunchies, and snacks, you name it. If you need a reliable place to go after drinking at HH with friends on weekdays or even someplace to go on a weekend to have fun, Jebon is a pretty good place to hit up! For this review, I’m only going speak for items that I got the most recent time I went. Meat Lover Skewer Set(2 each of Chicken, beef, and pork) — The chicken skewers were pretty damn on point. Well cooked and nicely marinated. The beef and pork on the other hand were not impressive and I’ve definitely had better elsewhere. Satay Beef with Egg Noodles — Again, the beef was unimpressive and the noodles were okay. The soup though, was slightly redeeming for this dish and it was nice to sip on some soup on a cold day. Ocean Blue Fish Bowl — Drink was pretty strong, we shared the fish bowl between three people and we almost had trouble finishing it — but we were 3 girls who already drank quite some at another location before we came here so that may be the reason. Don’t eat the shark gummies that they put in there for looks, ahha, they were pretty gross and soggy. Rice Noodle Rolls with peanut sauce — now THIS. is enough to be the sole reason why I would return here sooner than later. These rice noodle roles were so delicious, my friends and I had to order two plates. I have a feeling we would have ordered more if we didn’t have to get going. The peanut sauce is incredible! It hit the spot just right and the rice noodle was so spectacular. GETTHISDISH!!! I would return here next time to try the shot roulette, I heard that was pretty fun! But otherwise, this is a solid place for St. Marks.

I really enjoy myself here. I went for happy hour I order a pitcher for $ 12 two app and a sushi roll. All cam up to $ 40. It was a great price for really good food(as far happy hour). I order crispy ribs which was tasteful and Crispy. The second app was roast pork bun. It’s your basic pork bun which was good. The volcano roll was also good. And I also receive a $ 2 discount from Unilocal for any roll. Eager to come back and try more of the menu.

It’s not just the delicious food, or the very reasonable prices that makes this place a 5 star Unilocal! It’s not even the super awesome location, right in the middle of Historic St. Marks in the East Village. The biggest reason I am giving 5 stars is for the management and staff. The owners and management team are super nice! They are kind and helpful! I have known them for over 6 years now, and in all that time, I have never seen them treat a customer with anything less than the upmost respect and kindness. This is a place worthy of your hard earned money. PS — The sushi is awesome! They have a team of SUSHIMASTERS!

I was with my partner around this neihborhood and in the mood for some noodles. So we came to this place to try thing out, I ordered the Seafood noodle, one of my favouite noodle back home. Well, the noodle from this place turned out not so great as I expected. the noodle was a bit too light, the soup just tasted a bit dull. My parter was not impress with the noodle he ordered. That was a bit let down. We also ordered some cocktail. which they tasted great. We also tried some side dishes as well. Well, it was alright. The restuant itself looked great, very nice atmosphere. so we were kinda got a vide the thing would turn out like wow, but that wasn’t the case. The price of the place is a bit high. The service was alright. if you looking for a good noodle place, just looking around first, there are many other restuarant here also offer noodle in their menu.

It’s A Thursday night and you’re looking for time to kill, with a group of people. Come here! They have a restaurant at the main level and downstairs in a soundproof basement is a Japanese game show called batsu. You can look for cheaper tickets online or pay $ 25 at the door. The game show is pretty much 4 different contestants(workers) who battle with each other for the most points to seal the«fate». You have an option of buying a batsu band where you wear on your forehead and everytime you scream batsu(punishment in Japan) you get a free shot. I came here twice for the Japanese game show, but haven’t had their food.

Who should eat here and under what circumstances? — you don’t have Unilocal — you make poor decisions occasionally — you were too drunk to stumble into Mamoun’s on the other side of the street — you really don’t care how food tastes, it’s just fuel after all — you feel sushi goes well with ufc and minor league baseball on the screen — you had no idea you were on St Marks and that East Village has great restaurants — you’re from the Midwest and can’t tell the difference between canned tuna and good sushi Jebon– If you’re reading this, please pick up the slack and put more effort in the kitchen, stop bringing the average rating of this neighborhood’s restaurant down…

Did you know that Jebon is 50 percent off on Mondays with your student ID? Anyways, the food here is pretty great! Even without the 50 percent off, the prices are reasonably set. I got the bagel roll($ 13) which is a roll with«crab» meat, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and eel, which is then wrapped and deep fried in tempura batter! Amazing! I got the eel replaced with salmon which I loved. I also got the pork buns which were pretty good too! It comes with two buns for 6 dollars, but one was tender and tasty, and on the other one, the meat was tough. Weird. If you want to know what the pork is like, imagine a very thick cut slab of bacon without the smoky bacon flavor. Keep in mind that half the meat will be a thick slab of fat. My friends got the mango roll which was surprisingly tasty. She wasn’t very fond of it, but I found it surprisingly tasty, however it might be a bit on the sweet side for a meal. The garlic fries are pretty good as well, which is basically seasoned fries with a hint of garlic. Nothing super fancy. Overall I had a good experience and would come again. My only two complaints would be that it was wayyy to cold inside because of the blasting AC and the ramen bowls seen to run slightly on the smaller side. Give this place a go!

I come here for lunch and tried the dim sum, stick with Chinatown or Flushing. The dumplings were still frozen when I was served. The sushi(spicy tuna) was ok. noodle soup dishes are bland with no taste. I’ve tried this place 3 times as its next to the Bao which is amazing next door so when that gets crowded I head over here. Everytime, the bartender/server behind the bar is unfriendly, fails to follow up on food, offers no water and un-attentive. She looks like she is miserable she does not want to be there. Tips: don’t serve customers cold food and hire friendlier staff. I’ve given up on coming back here.

I didn’t hear good things about this place because of the sanitary rating but I came here anyway… don’t know it till you try it right… Service was quick and on point. They brought out all our dishes super fast and kept asking if we needed anything else. We got the $ 25 special(1 pitcher of Sapporo, fries, edamame, hot or cold sake). My friend got the chirashi(sashimi over rice) — $ 20 I got the salmon lover deluxe(5 pieces of salmon sashimi, 3 pieces of salmon over rice, and 6 pieces of salmon avocado rolls) -$ 22 We also got the salt pepper wings($ 6) — pretty bland– wouldn’t recommend this otherwise I had a great experience here. If you have a sushi craving and want to chat/hang out with some friends. this place in St. Marks is good, no line!
