Ichi Cellar

I suggest everybody run here now and take advantage of the HH deals 5−8pm daily before they’re gone!
This is a surprisingly spacious lounge underneath IchiUmi (enter IchiUmi on 32^nd and take the door to the left) with many TV’s and a large bar in the center. Almost feels like a secret bunker lol.

I might be forgetting some but the deals are crazy. My group of four had the 24 wings, beer pitcher, 24 oysters, 2 pints of beer, 1 wine, 2 free well drinks, a fried platter and the total was $ 70!!! before tax/​tip. You can’t beat that anywhere. We left very very satisfied and were already considering coming back the next night again.
There is also a DJ booth and they do bottle service here, so we’ll probably check it out on a weekend night too.

This place is AWESOME! The bartenders, the food, the drink specials are all fantastic. Victoria is the best bartender in NYC!!!

3.5−4 stars. Didn’t know what to make of this place when I first walked in but very glad that I stayed! This is the downstairs portion of Ichi Umi. It looks like a fancy sports bar lounge, with wraparound bar in the center, cushy lounge type seats surrounding, and some big screens scattered around on the side broadcasting the latest games. Drinks are phenomenal value if you use that Unilocal check-​in perk (free well drink or shot when you check in). Well drinks normally are $ 9 – 10. They’re not the strongest drinks I’ve ever had, but they did taste very good!
Overall the best way I can describe the vibe of this place is that it was a chill kind of popping. Meaning: throughout the entire night (and we were there pretty early starting around 8:30 pm), there was energy in the room. However, it never got too crowded or too rowdy. We left around 11 pm so not sure did the place ever transformed into a night club later on, but if you’re looking for a chill place with an energetic atmosphere, this is not a bad option!

This is the bar that is under Ichi Umi which now gets its own reviewable spot since it’s completely different than what is upstairs at Ichi Umi.
The drinks specials here are not bad — the food is tasty and the drinks are filled with alcohol. Service is quick and there is a DJ that plays occasionally. I haven’t been here when it’s too crowded but i’m sure it’s a cool joint to hang out.

Great happy hour place because of the deals. $ 25 for two dozen wings and a pitcher can literally be your dinner and part of your night’s drinking per 2 people.
The area is actually quite large and has a fair amount of lounge style seating as well as bar stool seats. The wings here are very decent, and the beer selection is not great, but covers a decent spectrum.

the bartender as well as the bar manager were simply AMAZING.
So friendly and attentive and made a lot of effort to talk to us, offer to let us try certain drinks out, and ask about our visit to NY (we’re from dallas).
The drinks were big, strong, and great!

This is such a hidden little place on 32^nd street. And right now they have this great deal going on, $ 25 for 24 wings and a pitcher of beer. On top of that, if you check in on Unilocal,you also get a free drink. The staff was nice too. It would be better if there’s more people here.

Im really trying to remember this place as I just went there last night but its really difficult let me tell you why. DAMN GOOD DRINKS. lots of them. The bartenders (wish I got their names) were spot on. Always happy and ready to help you your next level of drunkenness. If you check in on Unilocal you get a free drink, even a shot of Patron! Yes its real Patron. These guys do it right. If every bar in NYC followed suit to Ichi Cellar we would all feel satisfied when we went out and paid 14 $ a cocktail. I will have to try IchiUmi next the AYCE sushi place that they are partners with one would imagine.

Great place to come for a drink with friends. Pretty nice lighting. Food’s good. I quite like the jalapeño poppers. They also had 24 pc wings and coors light potcher deal for 25 bucks. not bad. but the wings are small.

Nice underground hidden bar/​lounge, with really nice space, rare for Manhattan. There are several seating areas in sections, with lots of tables and chairs. One area is nicely lit, and other areas are lit with dimmed colored lights. Some has more of long tables with benches, some has more of traditional, lounge-​style tables which is lower height, and of course, some bar tables and stools which are taller. I thought it was really nice, you can pick and choose which area you want to sit, based on how you feel, you can get different ambiance without going to a different bar/​lounge.
The food and drinks were very good, creative, tasty, and keeping you wanting more. The drinks were not strong, after having several Soju cocktails, not even a tiny little buzz feeling… very tasty regardless.
Service was not really good, didn’t get to talk to anyone as they were not friendly, which was disappointing. I wanted to know more about this bar, Usually, the staff or the owner/​manager talk with you at this kind of event, but hey, not everyone will have the time or the energy I guess.
The chicken wings was the hit of the night, I will definitely will go back for more!

They have a good happy hour deal, $ 25 for 24 wings and a pitcher of beer! The wings are crispy and tasty. But don’t expect the taste to be the same as the other ktown places.
My only complaint is the service. It’s a bit hard to get the staff’s attention and they won’t suggest to you any of their deals. My friend ordered the chicken wings, but the waiter didn’t bother to tell us that there was a happy hour deal for $ 25. Instead, my friend got the ten wings for $ 15, and when he asked to exchange it for the happy hour deal, the staff refused. Poor service.

Located below ichi umi buffet. pretty good space for drinks with friends. also have plenty of food options. lots of happy hour deals and combos. you can always run into someone you know when you’re here.

Very good restaurant. Came here for a Unilocal Elite event and everyone treated us really well. They have a great Soju, especially the Lychee one, it was my favorite.
The food is great. Definitely the Crunch Rice Egg is a MUST! delicious! so crispy on the outside and with plenty of flavor. It was the star of the night.
The Kimchi’nguine, a linguine pasta with kimchi sauce, was good too. A little bit hot for my taste but it has a good kick.
The gorgonzola pizza was a surprise for me. I didn’t expect such a great flavor from a pizza. I have to say is not the usual pizza because it’s a very thin crust, almost like a cracker, but it has a lot of cheese and it’s garnished with a salad that makes the difference.
Very nice place overall. The ambiance is OK, classic Koreatown joint, lots of bright and colorful lights in a dark basement. Good bar and cocktails to start the night.
Closes really late at night so that’s a plus!

Nice hidden bar with great service. They make the drinks strong and I was pleased with the food. The server Chanee/​blonde girl was really friendly and awesome!
Really happy and content with this spot and menu items. Plus the service was well-​rounded.
Will be back!

Amazing! Kimchi Pasta, Soy Garlic Chicken, & Gorgonzola Pizza! You guys should try! Kimchhi pasta is my favorite though! Also, 25 wings + 1 beer pitcher deal for $ 25.00 is good! The bartenders are super nice, but I wish they use regular dishes instead of plastic dishes. But overall, I had a great experience!

Favorite thing about this place is that you get a free drink or shot when you check-​in, after purchasing your first drink. $ 12 for a cocktail and a shot of patron sounds like a great deal! Can’t beat that.
This venue is pretty spacious and can accommodate little and big parties. The only thing that left a bad taste is the service. It was so difficult to grab a/​our server’s attention. We found ourselves going up to the bar from our table to grab salt, napkins and drinks.
Other than that, this place is a great spot for pre-​gaming, socializing or a quick drink post work.
They also serve food! Sushi was pretty on point.

I miss the old Ichi Cellar when we used to have DJs and parties on the weekends
However really cool staff and place to chill and drink before during and after the parties. Great HH deals also for people that want to enjoy some chicken, seafood, or finger foods

I’ve been coming here on and off for some years now. Recently been going back more often because of their awesome HH, $ 5 patron/​jameson shots and well drinks. Great spot to just whine down from a long day of work. Their food menu is changing, had a few samples of their new wings (AWESOME and can’t beat the price anywhere in ktown) and that crunch egg (laced with goodness).
