Wings are next level. That’s the only reason to go here. The service was above average. Lost a star cause I was expecting some good Music, especially with two 1200s and a mixing booth, but Rick Astley was playing when I rolled in and that hurt.

Definitely my favorite place in town to get KFC. Super crunchy yet somehow not too greasy skin and finger licking good sauce(you can pick soy garlic or spicy. I always go with spicy). I would tell you how the other things are here, but I’ve literally never gotten anything else — though the spiral potatoes on sticks look fun. As does the neon beer tower… Definitely a place to come, hang for awhile, and eat drinking food in a fun atmosphere. Only downside is the chicken takes so long to make :(Expect 20 – 25 minutes of waiting(warning is on the menu too). Maybe order a spiral potato stick to keep you company?

So, I’ve been to the midtown location twice now(within the span of a month) and both times were incredible! The first visit was after I went to a Sunday afternoon basketball game at MSG — it was fairly warm out so we were able to walk from MSG to the restaurant. The only downside was the struggle to find any signage… You have to walk through the lobby labeled 314 fifth avenue and then take the stairs up to the second floor. The sign is not even a sign, it’s barely a sticker. Really weird but it’s all worth it. For my first visit to Turntable, I was with a group of 10 people. We were seated right away and our tables were assigned two waiters so we never had to wait too long for any drinks or food. We decided to go the ‘family style’ route and order a bunch of different appetizers and wings. We got the potato twisters, pork fat edamame and a bunch of orders of the soy garlic and spicy wings. The pork fat edamame is a must-order! Soy garlic wings were delicious, spicy wings were SPICY. We also got the beer tower(A LOT of beer in a super funky lava lamp keg contraption) and we all got free shots for checking in on Unilocal! My second visit to Turntable(midtown) was on Monday early afternoon — only three other parties there. Again, fast service and delicious food! Turntable is a fun atmosphere with great food and great music.

The best Korean fried chicken!!! This place is my favorite. Staff is great. Food is delicious. The half and half wings spicy/soy garlic is amazing. Will be back and recommend to friends:)

The focus here is just the KFC. It’s among the best we’ve had. Pretty much everything else about this restaurant needs work. I sorta dig the ambiance of the place but it was a very cold day and their heat wasn’t working. Plus I’m a music snob and if you’re going to do the whole«jazz» thing I would hope you would play at least one real jazz song(though I secretly enjoyed the oldies that were being played). Service was minimal. I think they weren’t expecting that many people on a very chilly Saturday. None of the other dishes we ordered came close to being as good as the chicken with the exception of the lychee soju which really hit the spot. We’ll most likely return.

Highly recommend this place for a birthday or any large group outing! I was able to get a reservation for 12 people just a few days in advance. The loud throwback music, lava lamp beer towers and selection of «bombs» makes for a festive experience. It’s easy to share the various platters and plates of mixed wings. No need to worry about being too loud, either. I thought the food was good but not great, but I was coming to enjoy an evening with my friends and not to eat the best meal of my life. My companions, however, thought the wings were some of the best they’d ever had.

Friends and I came here on a Saturday night, hoping that it wouldn’t be so crowded since it was so cold outside. We got there and there was no wait for a party of 3. We ordered the chicken wings(half and half), soy garlic fried pork/beef dumplings, and kimchi fried rice. We also each got a free lychee soju shot from the Unilocal check-in deal. All of the food was good; no complaints from this Korean. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside with flavorful sauce, without them being doused in too much sauce. Not too sweet, salty, or spicy. I liked the tender meat in the kimchi fried rice. Dumplings were slightly greasy, but they were also crispy with good flavor. The lychee soju shot was the perfect ratio of both. If we hadn’t planned to go elsewhere to drink, we probably would have had more soju. Service was adequate. Not terrible but nothing out of the ordinary. Good music. 5% off your total check for using cash. Would come back.

Let’s start with this place is hard to find. But that’s the best part. Nice and relating inside, the entire staff are friendly and very on top of everything. The soy/garlic wings are Amazing. Extra crispy and flavor was perfect. Earl Grey Martini— Amazing I love that tea and to have it as a martini was a delight

I’ve been here twice already. The first time was simply AMAZING. Wait time wasn’t terrible, we went on a Saturday night but we got seated very quickly and they took our orders right away. The second time was a bit of a wait and it took forever for us to get seated. The wings are out of this world. So yes, I will go back!

This place was introduced to me by my brother and we caught up with our cousins in this place. Love the ambience of this place and food was delicious! The spicy chicken is a favorite and so is the bulgogi. And the Lychee soju is the bomb. Pricing is not bad either, definitely the kind you would expect for a bar and restaurant in Manhattan.

This place is awesome ! I’ve come here quite a few times with my best friend and a few times with my boyfriend. The wings are pretty darn good, crunchy, and flavorful! I give 4 instead of 5 only because the customer service is a little lackin’. The last time I went they left the previous tables drinks and didn’t clean it up until after we ordered our food and that was only because I mentioned it. Other than that, it’s a great place to eat when you’re wandering the city and come across it.

Great spot for big groups and late-night munchies! Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal for a free soju shot :) I’ve come here quite often with different groups of friends. We either come here for dinner and drinks earlier on in the night, or come here for night-caps and late-night munchies. Chicken wings are a must, and you can order a combination of soy garlic and spicy sauce. They have it with the bone or boneless, your choice! I’m also a fan of their kimchi fried rice and smoked hand-cut fries.

The soy garlic chicken wasn’t bad — not too oily nor dry. However, they are a bit small. This place is definitely a solid hanging out place — it enables people to be loud, it can host more than a party of 4, and if you check-in on Unilocal — you get a free lychee soju shot! The only thing I didn’t like so much was our waitress, who was not attentive and didn’t seem to want to be there.

Ok, if you’re not into a super loud, night clubby place, let me make a quick disclaimer. THEFRIEDCHICKENISAMAZING. When you arrive, you’re thinking, crap this is not a restaurant. Then you find out there’s at least an hour wait. Crap. Should I wait? Then through the darkness of the place you see someone chowing down on a delicious, crispy, juicy, tender, moist fried chicken wing with an OMNOMNOM face and then you’re like, Yes. I’m going to wait. And boy was it worth it. The fried chicken was one of the best I’ve had and I had a wonderful food coma afterwords. The batter they use for their chicken is light and crispy and sticks to the meat well and you can feel all the layers of the crunch and tenderness as you bite into the chicken. BUTPLEASEAVOIDEATINGTHESEAFOODPANCAKE. It’s no bueno(like no seasoning). BUTPLEASEEATTHEKIMCHIRICE. They put a poached egg on top. Enough said.

Came here for a late lunch with the girls. You need to climb a flight of stairs to get into the restaurant. The place is super cute. Lots of wood and very industrial, but cozy all at the same time. I saw a DJ booth and would love to come back at night and check it out. We all checked in on Unilocal and got a free lychee shots. We also ordered the fried rice and half and half wings to share. The wings were fried and fell right off the bone. Everything was super yummy. We even got 20% off the bill, I’m not sure why. The waitress was a little distracted but other than that the service was good. There was also a terrible draft at the window. It would be nice if they got that fixed. It was 20 F today and I was freezing.

Second time coming to Turntable and I was disappointed this time. 1. We arrived 15 minutes before the lunch menu was over. However, we were not greeted for 15 – 20 minutes. My boyfriend and I sat there awkwardly and we finally spoke up and asked for water(we couldn’t even find the server). By the time our server decided to take our order, she said we couldn’t order from the lunch menu because it was over… even though we we were there 15 minutes before? Bummer. 2. Food took forever… we ordered the large boneless wings(half hot and half garlic) and fried dumplings. The food was good but the chicken seemed a lot smaller this time. Dumplings were better than the chicken IMO. We also checked in Unilocal and received 2 free lychee soju shots… our server seemed annoyed when we asked for it. Not sure why… 3. We were really upset with the service we received because it was NOT busy ATALL. Ugh I love the food here but honestly the service was horrible. I may come back and give it another try but I’m not sure if I can recover from the service we received.

We had been wanting to do chimek, the Korean chicken and beer for so long! So the first thing that we wanted to eat in New York was that. We thought going to Flashing would be it, but did not want to go far away and decided to eat in Manhattan. We chose this place based on the Unilocal reviews. Glad that we went! We got combo with half and half.(drumsticks and wings combo with ginger garlic and spicy seasonings). The chicken was really good. Crispy outside and juicy inside. First we thought it did not have enough sauce, but turned out it was very tasty. Spicy ones were pretty spicy! Fries were good too. We ordered kimchi jyan. It was mochi mochi(stretchy) and not too oily. We loved it. Doppokki with bulgogi was good too. We will go back again!

Came on a Saturday for dinner recently as I was told they make the best wings ever. I’ve had better. For me personally the batter was way too thick, the chicken was dry. Go for the garlic soy which is lightly flavored and the spicy is for those who can handle heat. We also tried the seafood scallion pancake — rarely had a bad one but this one was soggy and not much seafood. tried the pork belly salad which was interesting and a good size. This is a small space so come early to avoid a wait!

When the side dishes taste better than the star chicken… you got a problem. We ordered the medium combo — soy garlic. The chicken was crispy enough on the outside with decent sauce. Here’s the bad part — once you take a bite… the chicken was blander than bland inside. How can this happen?! For sides — we’d ordered the grilled corn and potato twister(this was the fave). Service was good — friendly greet, quick to take order and attentive. Food came out quickly. Love the chillax atmosphere. Definitely a bummer their chicken didn’t stand up to the test.

3.5 stars. A group of us came here for lunch on the weekend as some of us were craving Korean fried chicken. I would say this place might be one of the better options for Korean fried chicken as the quality of the wings at other restaurants have kinda gone down the drain. We checked in and got our free lychee soju shot, which wasn’t very strong, so no worries if you can’t handle your alcohol. We ordered a seafood pancake to start and it wasn’t that good, kinda oily and lacking in seafood, you can skip this. We also had one order of spicy wings and an order of half(spicy) and half(soy garlic). I thought they were both pretty good, strong flavor and crunchy. Lots of times, the wings can be crunchy, but also dry; it’s not the case here. So it’s a yes for the wings here! The one things that I do have to mention is that service isn’t exactly the best here, but it’s not too terrible; you need to have a little patience getting the attention of the staff. I heard that they have one or two other locations as well, perhaps service might be different there. Overall, a good option for Korean fried chicken and just having a nice time with friends.

BONCHONWINGS… GETINMYMOUTHNOW. Seriously guys, this place is the absolute mecca of fried Korean chicken wings. Luckily had a friend recommend Turntable– and honestly it was the most memorable food I had on a «foodie» trip to NYC. Just top notch all around. Well worth the wait, well worth getting lost(its hard to find), and well worth gaining a few lbs for. They have several chicken options, my fave by far were the drums. These aren’t measly little drums either, these things are huge! I really liked both sauces… I would recommend doing 50⁄50. I didnt really think the hot and spicy was really too spicy, but it had some insane flavor. We also got the boneless wing option, wanted to try it. It was also really good. but the drums just had it going on. That crispy hot deliciousness… We went on kind of an off time, Sunday afternoon around 3ish. Wasn’t busy at all, grabbed a spot at the bar. We actually had great service, the bartender was awesome. He made us a few killer martinis too– slicing up fresh cucumber and ginger. they were great. Hit this place up. Get on that chicken. Grab a martini. Just do it. I will visit turntable every NYC trip!

This is the best place to get wings in Ktown. The wings are always piping hot, crispy, and full of flavor. If it were for the wings alone, this place would get 4 stars. Definitely get the soy garlic wings! But the service here is routinely terrible. I’ve gone here so many times and have never had good service. I was once given a wait time of 20 minutes, which turned into an hour. The only good that came out of that was the manager gave my party a couple of free appetizers. It’s difficult to get the waiters attention, and the waitstaff always seem like they are too good to care about the customers.

I came here on a weekend evening and had a great time! Initially, my party of 5 was quoted a 30-min wait. But fortunately we didn’t have to wait long. We were seated within a few minutes. They have free coat check by the door. I really liked the fried chicken. The radish was the perfect side dish to accommodate the fried chicken! If you order drinks from the bar, it is $ 15 credit card minimum. The music was really loud and it was difficult to hold up a conversation. Good for groups.

This place is super hip. I’ve been here twice so I’ll write a review for lunch and dinner. Lunch experience — Came here around 1pm on a Monday so wasn’t as packed as dinner. We were seated right away. They have really good lunch specials as well! You can get a meal with either a soda or half a beer(they offer Hite) for $ 10. We got the bulgogi burger which comes with fries and their delicious aoli dipping sauce! The buns were lightly toasted and buttered — Amazing. The fried rice comes with a miso soup for $ 10 as well(you can choose from seafood, chicken or beef). We couldn’t resist and got some wings while we were there too. As always, the wings were amazing! Deep fried twice to perfection. We always get the mix of half and half for flavors — spicy and soy garlic. Everything came out quickly and everything was amazing. P. s. They play all the jams here! Dinner experience — Came here with a pretty decent group. Wait was probably 30 — 45 minutes, but there’s a bar area you can wait and grab some drinks. Place is really loud and crowded at night. We got a bunch of their wings and fries to share. Service was a little slow. We also got the huge beer tower for $ 40 — I think it rounds to be about 8 glasses of beer? Overall, highly recommend this place over Bön Chon.

Chicken wings on point here, get the soy garlic and spicy mix. Other things we tried were the fried chicken burger and fried chicken salad(same chicken and seasoning as the Korean chicken wings), which were both good. The burger comes with fries and this delicious mayo. Would definitely come back for the food and maybe late night drinks/snacks. Only reason for 4 stars was that we ordered right before 3pm and they didn’t honor the lunch special(12−3pm). They had really good deals(entrée drink and salad) for around $ 10. Would have appreciated the service more. Also the place is a bit hard to find — unmarked entrance and you have to go up dark winding stairs.

Best korean chicken wing joint in K-town! although the chicken wings inside arent the biggest as compared to Bön Chon & Kyo Chon around the corner, those little wings pack a flavor to be reckoned with! Order the soy garlic wings and dont look back. honestly dont even bother with the chicken drums, because the wings are the way to go 100% of the time. they come out more crispier and more flavorfull! The atmosphere is like a lounge inside, with a dimly lighted interior and djs spinning while you eat. If your feeling in the mood to get your drink on, grab a party and try the beer towers. they light up to the beat !

Located in K-town in Midtown, but has the Village feel. This place is awesome! We were seated quickly, our orders were taken quickly and our food came out fast! I was surprised. It wasn’t as crowded as I expected it to be, but it was busy. I looked around and saw many different turntables and records on the walls. Eh, I wasn’t too impressed with it, I just wanted food! We all knew what we wanted. We ordered the: — Medium 12 pcs Soy Garlic wings — fried to perfection!!! — Medium 12 pcs Hot and Spicy — fried to perfection!!! — Fried Calamari — which is topped with Parmesan Cheese and Seasoning — OMG I NEEDMOREOFTHISINMYLIFE — 2 Twisters — which is a spiral shaped potato with Parmesan Cheese and«Chef’s Sauce»(which is actually just spicy mayo) — perfect starter — Large Strawberry Soju for $ 45 — this could have actually been colder. They just put a glass bottle on top of shredded ice. it was delicious! Large is a good size for a party of 5 to have over and over — 5 bowls of rice($ 17) Our overall experience was great. There were a few small things that bothered us like not giving us napkins or wipes or the fact that we had 3 servers and didn’t know which ones to call on because the place was dark… but nothing to defer the ratings. It was a busy night, so we totally understand :) I would definitely come back. They do have other locations and I plan to visit the other spots. This place is also known as Mad For Chicken. i would recommend to all!!!

My life will never be the same after eating this Korean Fried Chicken! I know the south is known for their fried chicken, but the KFC walks a mile ahead of even the best fried chicken in all the dirty south. I came here by recommendations of Jamie C, and I love her even more after that! This place is located close to Korean Town, in a very sketchy building. Upon entering the building you find a narrow hall, and to the left some dark and narrow stairs that you have to take to go to the restaurant. If I would have gone by myself, I could have possibly walk out because of how weird it looks, however, when you open the door the coolest restaurant is before your eyes. This entire place is covered with music posters and music paraphernalia of all decades and eras, there is a big bar area and chairs on a room that overlooks the entire street. Upon checking in, we got a Lychee Soju shot for Free99, and that totally hit the spot. We then proceed to order some fried dumplings in a hot and soy sauce, along with some KFC. The dumplings came first, and they were some of the best dumplings I have ever tasted. The fact they were friend elevated their delicious status, and you can feel the crunch on the edges of them. The chicken took about 20 mins, but that was only a great sign that they were frying the chicken right on the premises. After the time went by, our beautiful plate of fried goodness arrived to our table, and the smells that were coming from it were unreal. I immediately grabbed a wing and it was love at first bite! The flavors from this chicken just explode in your mouth, and the crunchiness and crispiness of the chicken is perfection. I have no idea how this chicken is prepared, because this is unlike any regular fried chicken. The batter is not thick, but it has the perfect balance of soy sauce and spices. The batter isn’t also overpowering the chicken itself, and the meat is super juicy and tender. This was hands down my favorite place in NYC, and I plan to stop here everytime I visit the city. Now if management is reading this review, please bring this restaurant to South Florida and I will forever love you.
