You cant beat this happy hour and lovely sweet bartenders. Nachos(depending how busy they are– because if busy, it will be a hot mess, but still delic) and jalapeño margaritas are fab!

The price doesn’t seem to match the quality. My chicken tacos were pretty dried out. I’ve had much better tacos at hole in the wall places around the city for a fraction of the cost. The portions were generous, but the plate was filled up with filler food. The drink prices were outrageous. The service was maybe average. The guac was pretty good, but very pricey.

Horrible experience this evening. Waited for a table outside for a party of 4(with our dog so we could not go inside). After being told we were next and that the host was simply waiting for our tables to open up, 2 other parties(of two) were seated in advance of us as tables opened. When I approached the host as he was seating the second party, asking why he wasn’t waiting to seat a four-top, we got a shrug. Unfortunate service for a neighborhood establishment we had loved until now.

I’ll start with the positive: the food was delicious what we ate of it. But the service was beyond horrible. Dinning with a toddler is never easy but this place makes you feel horrible. Took a couples order next to us immediately. Had to ask for service from several different people. 20 mins later a different server begrudgingly to take our order. Huge gap between appetizer and entrée arriving and by then our little guy had had it. We all filled up on guac and chips. Our departure was rapid and servers were rude when I asked for the check. Oh the best part is we left over three quarters of our food on the plates. Not a nice word from the server despite the generous tip I left due to the mess. Despite other families there when we arrived I wouldn’t recommend it for a family. Iffy first date maybe.

I’ve gotta say, they have a good thing going for them but need to lower the prices. I felt bit cheated out of my money here. Not gonna lie, the food is great but it just isn’t worth the $ 20 per entrée for lunch time!!! The taco salad is HUGE and fills you up and the tacos are delicious. And as always, get a margarita with your mexican food because here they are strong! Warning: iinside it’s really cramped. Would be much better if they removed one table so that there was actually room for people to enjoy the atmosphere.

4 stars because the place is very small and tight. It seems to always be a wait to be seated but other then that this place is awesome. The food is finger licking good. There guacamole is so fresh and soooo good! I can’t wait to go back when the weather gets warmer. Mexican food at its best !

This is some gooood Mexican food. Americanized, of course, but still food-coma worthy. 3 stars for inconsistency because some days are just off… Food, service, vibes. If you want to avoid crowds, go in the afternoon; energy at night is cool especially if you stroll Meatpacking after a few margs & ‘jitos. I recommend the chicken fajitas(NEED!!!), the nachos, and burritos. Simple sides of beans and rice are flavored well and I always want more. Also, pass on the Brooklyn location– definitely a difference in taste.

Food was good, guacamole was fresh and plentiful, I had the special paella for my main course and it was Bueno! Seafood was fresh and the rice was flavorful. Only wish our waitress would’ve came and refilled my beverage …

The food is fine, the interior is cute — but here are my issues: Their menu online and on their yellow paper take-out menus have wildly different prices. I checked out their menu first before going over for lunch and thought they were decent — a chicken taco salad was $ 16 and their flan was $ 5. However, when I got my bill at the restaurant, I was charged $ 22 for the salad and $ 9 for the flan! I also got a coffee and with tip I ended up spending over $ 40 for lunch. When I asked my server about the difference, he just shrugged and said, yeah, they are higher when you eat here. NOWHERE does it say that online or on the take out menus — this is completely deceptive. Speaking of the taco salad — the tortilla shell awesome, but the inside left much to be desired. I wish it had pico de gallo and guacamole, instead of just a few whole cherry tomatoes, raw onion ring slices and a slice of avocado. The greens were also very bitter. My next complaint is that I was called«sweetie» and«sweetheart» by servers who were clearly trying to make it known that they would sleep with me. It made me totally uncomfortable. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

3.5 The guacamole is terrific, and the food was above average. If I’m in the neighborhood, I would just order the guac again.

Food and drinks are pretty average. The real reason for the poor rating is the quality of the service. We were sat 40 minutes after our reservation. It’s a very small restaurant and they’re isn’t much room to wait by the bar without being in the way of the severs. It was a rainy and cold night and we kept being promised«our table was almost ready» so choose to wait anyway. No one thought to offer is a drink /chips & salsa to keep us busy as we waited. We finally are seated and literally the end of the table is in the doorway. So the unlucky person in our party was banged into the whole meal. Also anytime a person walked into the restaurant we were treated with a blast of cold air. The server was also not very attentive during the meal, being quite slow in taking our drink /orders. Finally we go to pay our bill and are informed we can only use 4 credit cards despite being a party of 7. If a restaurant has such a policy it would helpful to inform customers upfront so customers can plan accordingly. Overall, I wouldn’t go back because the food isn’t tasty enough to be treated disrespectfully by the staff. If you do decide to give this place a try, I’d recommend requesting a table in the back of the restaurant if possible.

Mole oh mole! You smother my heart and tummy. The best Mexican restaurants in he west village area due to 1) they bring the mole made from mothers recipe and the air dried beef directly from Mexico, it has a wonderful Mexican décor, 3) they celebrate the holidays, 4) their bloody Mary’s and brunch. Try their spicy sauces if you dare. They have late happy hours. The food is always on point and incredibly delicious. They have outside seating for brunch. Great bartenders. Downside — they are expensive for dinner. Brunch is their best value. If you want tacos you’re better off going to los tacos in Chelsea market but they close Early.

How can you call a restaurant Mole and run out of actual mole? Welp, it happened. I also found it odd that the owner/shift manager was taking photos of our party while we were dining. He said nothing after being confronted. Service was good, food was ok(we mostly were tipsy and hungry, so we cleaned our plates) but based on my overall experience, I probably won’t be coming back.

The Food is worth 5 Stars, the service is worth negative 5 Stars, but Unilocal doesn’t give me that option and it wouldn’t be fair to the great chimichanga I ate. I’ll start with the beginning, reservation for a party of 2, I arrived first was offered a seat to wait at the bar, wanted to get a drink while I waited but no one acknowledged me. I get seated, again reservation for 2, I only get one menu and one cutlery set, waiter comes over tells me the specials and then just walks away immediately after saying them like what ?! Well I guess I wasn’t ordering the specials then. I order my chimichanga and ask for grilled steak instead of shredded beef, waiter tells me it will be like 5 dollars extra, I don’t mind it but I ask if their is a specific reason, I get no answer, my water is never refilled, I have to yell for more napkins, yeah service was atrocious, waiter just standing around doing nothing! I would of been more understanding if he seemed busy but nope just standing around ALSOTHISPLACEDOESNTSERVECHIPSANDSALSAWHILEYOUWAIT ?! What kind of Mexican place was this?!

Went here for a casual dinner with a large party. They were well prepared for our large group which was great. The staff was really nice. The restaurant itself is very cute and intimate. The food… really wasn’t too memorable, which is a shame considering the price range and all of the other pluses. There were a lot of deliveries being pushed out of the place which I wouldn’t have expected. The margaritas were decent and the cayenne/lime(?) salt on the rim was a nice touch. The guac was good too. I’d probably go back for the HH margaritas and some guac if I’m in the area and really craving Mexican… But probably wouldn’t go back for the main courses.

Ok, I know I live in LA and we have some pretty good Mexican joints out there and it’s not fair to compare the two. But, we can do that with all other types of restaurants… so here goes. Great vibe in this little spot. Dark and small with a nice bar up front. About 12 tables in the back. Good staff who are up to the task and right there with zero ny attitude. Started with chips, salsa and a house margi. Chips could have been fresher and felt out of a bag. Ok, not great. Margi was good. Dinner I went with a Unilocal suggestion of Al Pastor tacos with pineapple. Here’s my overall thought. One, not cheap. Two margi and taco place was $ 50.00 plus tip. I should be knocked out for that. Two, I don’t love quantity over quality. Too much food on the plate. Less is more sometimes. Not sure I would come back, my search for great ny Mexican continues.

I love Mexican food & my best friend decided to celebrate her birthday there so I thought: perfect ! When we got there it was very crowded, but all 6 of us were seated relatively quickly. The service was courteous, but we felt really rushed: we ordered some margheritas & an order of guacamole(average, nothing special), & then ordered our main courses — chicken & beef fajitas, tacos, which were good. Midway through the meal the hostess asked if we could move down to acomodate some new customers, which I thought was very rude. We were sitting elbow to elbow with perfect strangers. We had barely finished our meal when the bill was shoved in our face without even being asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. They added a 20% gratuity and 5 minutes later we were told that we had to leave because people were waiting at the bar — this after spending $ 400 between 6 people. After going to the restroom i came back to find other people sitting at my table, and my coat waiting for me outside in 20 °F weather. We were all shocked by this incredibly rude treatment, and even though the food was OK, i would never return to a place where patrons are treated like cattle.
