I like it! It was very chill and I liked the view — private, but still something to look at. It was at the top of the hotel where we stayed so of course that also made it convenient. But in a place like NYC, it made me feel at home, instead of in the wild abandon of the city. The bartenders were chill and quick to get me whatever I liked. I could see it potentially getting overcrowded, but was awesome at the time I was there. It also just had a good vibe with the small space it occupied — not easy to do in my opinion.

Fist off– its REALLY small and cramped. There was no food except for some stale chips and salsa. Wine is terrible, and the cocktails were terrible. There are so many better rooftop bars in midtown… save your money and time and skip this one.

A cute little bar. No, seriously, that’s all it is! Henry’s is an outside bar that is small and quaint. They do not sell food but they do sell snacks(chips and salsa, nuts and etc.) the drinks are really good and the atmosphere is amazing. There is not a «view» but you are outside seeing the surrounding buildings. The music is nice and the people are nice but, the service is ok! It can be way better. Our drinks took a while to arrive to our table as well as our waiter as soon as we sat. Nice place to go if you just want to have an intimate time with your friends or companion.

cute little rooftop. not a real view, but a nice city scape and a good breeze. food is limited to a few apps, but they were tasty if not filling.

little hidden gem. not crowded and pretentious like the other midtown rooftop bars. it’s on the smaller side so it’ll be difficult to get a seat and a little awkward to stand. i visited in the summer after work on a thursday and my party of 6 split in two groups — 4 people sat and 2 awkwardly stood next to us… the drinks are decently priced and we ordered a few $ 5 snacks to munch on. this place doesn’t have much of a view. but it’s nice when the weather is warm to sit outside and enjoy some post-work drinks with friends(that is if you can get a seat). i will try my luck and come back in the spring!

Laid back atmosphere, good vibe, nice views all made a little more charming by the fact that it’s kind of hidden. Yummy snacks but a full menu would be nice. Great after work drink spot. And the bathrooms are clean… not very common in most bar settings.

Henry’s is a cute non pretentious rooftop in midtown. It’s pretty small, but I went on a nice night after work and was able to get a table. Drinks are really reasonable, especially for a rooftop.8−10 for wine and cocktails. The only negative is that people can smoke up there and since its small, you cant really get away from it, but it isn’t too bad. They do not have much in the way of food, but they do have some things to snack on if you are in the mood while you drink.

This is a cool little place. After getting rejected at the Kimberly(the bouncer said«We have rules for dress and you’re breaking every one of them!») we found our way to Henry’s. We were welcomed there even though we were wearing polos and shorts. Started with cocktails, which were a bargain at $ 10 and then had some beers. Not much of a selection but they had some good stuff(not just Bud or Coors). Service was friendly. Crowd was mellow. Views were nothing to write home about but it was nice to sit outside and have a drink or two.

I had no idea this cute, rooftop bar existed until I came here for a friend’s birthday. We were here early on a Saturday evening, so it wasn’t very crowded. As others have noted, they do not serve meals, just bar snacks. We got the sampler platter, which included all of the bar snacks(chips and salsa, olives, pickles, spiced nuts, cheese). This was perfectly adequate for 6 of us and tided us over until dinner later. The only real issue we had was the service. There was one server in particular who seemed to have a bad attitude about everything. She brought a beer over at one point and said someone had ordered it via Foursquare. It belonged to the table behind us, but of course once she said the thing about Foursquare, a couple of people at our table looked online and saw that if you checked in, you got a second beer for free. So one of the women in our group checked in, and went up to the bar to get the beer. This server was rather surly about it for whatever reason. If you’re upset about people getting free beer, then don’t have a deal for free beer. Also, I ordered a Shirley Temple, for which they charged me 9 bucks. I went up to ask them about it, and the guy working there said it was a cocktail. I pointed out that it doesn’t even have alcohol in it and is basically a soda. The same grumpy woman then snapped«We know that. We’ll fix it.» Well, obviously they didn’t know that based on what the guy said. Anyway, I wouldn’t mind going back because it’s a nice setting, but hopefully the service will be a little more friendly.

Not your typical rooftop. The space displays and embodies more of a patio type of setting. Its uniqueness and intimate feeling is what convinced me to like this place and to add it to my make sure to return in the future list. Quick things to be aware of before coming here: There is not much that will amaze you in terms of the view. There is no skyline and you are basically surrounded and enclosed by buildings. But! There is a but! …The drinks are delicious and not ridiculously over priced, as they would be in any other rooftop. You get to partake in an intimate rooftop experience and enjoy a delicious drink at an average price. I think that’s a steal. I got a midtown margarita for $ 10. It was strong, the cup size was fairly large and worth sipping while I laughed, chatted and enjoyed my friends company. Since it is not a large area, I would suggest coming here with a smaller group, maybe even just a friend whose company you want to enjoy that evening. Service is quick and the bartender was very nice. Overall, a noteworthy place to visit if you get the chance.

Sure, the view is of unspectacular other buildings, but it’s still a rooftop bar. Tiny, but they’re still decent enough to have Goose Island on tap.

Great little little rooftop bar with cool sites in the evening(with all the building lot up). Service was great, prices reasonable. Simone had a good idea in putting a bar here on top of the roger smith hotel. Has about ten tables. Worth the short trip to the 16th story for the view and experience.

Cool place on the 16th floor but you kind of have to find your own way due to limited signage. Second bar in NY that couldn’t make a proper Old Fashioned due to the lack of and ingredients(no maraschino cherries, the Whiskey Trader didn’t have simple syrup — really?). Normally, I’d have a beer but the taps were broken. Don’t come for dinner, they only have 6 snacks — limited to things they don’t have to cook. If you want a girly drink(margarita, Cosmo, daiquiri), a romantic spot(in good weather), and limited food, this is it.

What a gem! This tiny rooftop bar above the Roger Smith Hotel is so cozy & snazzy and has a great view. Along with the urban setting, the lighting and music create the perfect Manhattan ambiance. We only ordered beer, but the cocktails and food looked good too. If you’re looking for great service, this probably isn’t the place, but everything else makes up for it. I love the quirky entrance to the roof behind the elevator and through a tiny corridor. If you’re looking for a romantic drink or quick appetizer on a warm evening, this is a great place.

I’m hesitant to write a review for Henry’s Rooftop Bar. What if I write a review and it’s so awesome that word of this review spreads like wild fire and then what was once a secret(only four others have wrote about this… and this is in Midtown!) will be filled with people? That would not be fun for me. But, it would be nice to have some(emphasis on SOME) company with me as I drink copious amounts of alcohol while looking into the office building across the street. I’m sure on a not-cloudy evening, the views eastward are pretty cool. Besides the view(or lack thereof) and the drinks, what I really like about this is that Henry’s is a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but you’re still in it.

The hotel as a whole is very rundown and needs to be updated. The rooftop bar is very small and pretty dirty. It feels like a college bar, wine is served in plastic cups, wine is held in coolers. For professionals seeking an after work bar, I would avoid. Unless you are 23.

Craft beer on tap and the lobster hotdogs are off the hook. Get here early because the place fills up fast.
