Simple layout with the season’s clothing hanging along the wall on racks. There are a few arm chairs in the middle of the store, which is a great spot for boyfriends and husbands to relax while their partners are in the fitting rooms. I love working with their store manager, Jen. She’s a gorgeous girl who is always willing to go above and beyond.

I like the staff here as they r not pretentious and don’t give attitudes like the other places. Sometimes u try on stuff but they don’t look good, u end up not getting any and the sales(esp the females) will give u attitudes. Doesn’t happen here which is rare and I appreciate that. This is among the reasons I keep going back to the store

I see some bad experience of some reviewers from this store but, I want to share some of my good experience. Late March, I had a chance visit the store in Soho.-had a chance to use the corporate discount program) Helmut Lang was participating and I like their style, thus why not visiting the store rather than checking limited items(sizes and colors) on department stores or the online. I visited couple of stores(other brands) on the same day and I had a good impression from the sales person and staff. With the welcome greeting -(commented some short sales deal), they were very attentive. When I asked the sizes and colors, they were so fast and very helpful and encouraged me to try some similar styles etc. The changing room was very spacious, too. It was very pleasant visit. Almost the next door, Vince store was totally different story. I had a hard time to get different sizes, also they weren’t care if I wanted the items or not. I rather say they had the attitudes depends on customers. Sometimes, you wish you never went to that place. I mean customers are customers. One person(or sales person) can change the image of the brands.

I shop regularly at Helmut Lang/Theory so I checked out the Soho store during FNO. It was the first store I went to and quickly bought a black FNO tee before I left. They are $ 25 and the woman confirmed the price when I handed her my credit card. I checked my online banking 3 days later like I always do and I was charged twice at $ 50. I have never called a credit card company to dispute a charge like this. Even though it is only an extra $ 25, I do not want to pay DOUBLE for a T-shirt. My credit card company put me through to the store and the intern said that in order for them to refund me, they would have to go through all their records and count all of their tees. Am I suppose to have faith in the fact that they keep an accurate inventory and their employees never make a mistake especially on a night like FNO when they are downing whiskey? I will update when I hear back from their manager… whenever that will be…

I tend to not shop at high-end places, and obviously, for good reason. Hey, if you have style, even Walmart can suffice. The clothes does not make the wo(man), the wo(man) makes the clothes! But, this review is a bit biased. For one, I only came here for FNO2012. What? There is a line to get in here? You must be kidding. And what? You only have Heineken Light in a can. Yes, I am judging you Helmut Lang. Terrible music, terrible alcohol, way too many people and no ventilation. After half a drink, we were out of there. But, hey if was nice to run into Clint H., so all is not lost…

I’m a sucker for Helmut Lang. Victoria helped me today. She was really sweet and helpful. I wanted to purchase a pair of leather leggings, but the waistband didn’t fit my big butt. Its funny how differently people treat you when you are dressed head to toe in their designer clothes ;) I will be back soon!

Why is this place called Helmut Lang Journal? It’s just Helmut Lang… am I missing something here? I have always been a fan of his even after his departure — I love the simplicity of design and also I am not a huge colour person — so naturally, I love the small range of muted colour palette of his collection. I’ve been here a couple of times and I must say the store is huge and they don’t overcrowd their massive store space with loads of inventory. You never feel claustrophobic inside here.

I had a really awful experience ordering something over the phone from this store.

JESUSCHRIST Helmut Lang, am I not your most loyal fan? Even after you went all room temperature water commercial? WHY can’t you get it together? You’ve been doing the same silhouette for THREE seasons, not including the half seasons, which are even more bland and commercial. Pretty sure you’re even using the same pattern for the jackets. If you want to lower your price point and just be a basics brand, let me know, because this is not popping.

What took me so long to write-up this place? I didn’t want to give it all away, perhaps… But then I noticed there was no Unilocal listing for their«new» store — even though it’s been about a year — and I love being the first to review! The big and beautiful SoHo location closed, now they have a small intimate boutique in the Meat-Packing District. The service is incredibly helpful, entrancingly maybe even bewitchingly so – I have a fake-leather fake-fur-lined coat, a black wool pea-coat, a gray jacket, a black jacket, a tan linen jacket, a khaki dress-shirt, a gray dress-shirt, two pairs of jeans, a pair of brown corduroys, a pair of black dress-pants, a pair of gray moleskin pants… I love how these clothes fit upon me, like a second-skin… Season come, season go, holiday-heft come, holiday-heft go… They’re durable, they’re fashionable, they’re innovative, they’re extremely well-crafted, they always illicit compliments whether dressed-up or dressed-down, but nothing is ever too garish or ostentatious.
