Pleasant place to sit and have a coffee before you start your work day. Only a «park» by nyc standards, but you take what you can get.

Hanover Square is home to the British Memorial Garden, created to honor the British victims of 9⁄11. It’s a small triangle with decorative paving stones, yew hedges, and really oddly shaped benches. During the day, this is a comfortable little place to eat lunch and watch the world go by. In the evening, it’s the local neighborhood spot for dog walkers and pedestrians on their way to somewhere else. I wish it had some greenspace, but given how tiny it is I guess that wasn’t an option. In all, Hanover Square is a cute little park with a solemn purpose.
