Extremely inefficiently run just salad. Does not function like a conveyor belt. Used to work downtown and the manager there knew how to keep the belt running like one… The person creating the salad is doing multiple salads at a time and moves on to the salad behind you before finishing yours, meanwhile most of the dressing people are empty and next time I look the line is well outside the store…

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. Dirty, dirty dirty and the line takes forever! Rude staff and overpriced. Serving fresh veggies in a place like this should be a crime.

Wouldnt go back to this hell hole if you paid me. Waited a million years in a crowded just salad for a salad that never made it to me. Apparently the dumb girls behind the counter threw the sheets of paper away and instead of picking up their heads to see who might be waiting around they ignored me and kept it moving. SMH. Horrible service. You’re better off going to chopt where they’re organized. Or even better, Duke Café where they never waste people’s time. NEVERAGAIN

Summary: controlled madness Just Salad has become a staple in my lunchtime repertoire at Rock Center. It’s one of the few(only?) places I will wait on line for, not because the food is amazing(it’s solid, but not out of this world), but rather because they usually do a good job of keeping the line moving. For starters, you need to more or less know what you want before you get there. This is because the workers will come out to the end of the line to take your order on one of the little pieces of paper. Do yourself a favor and scour the online menu before you get there. The salads themselves carry a decent amount of flavor, especially if you go for the tastier ones like Smokehouse Steak. The downside is that the salads are probably less healthy than salads at some competing places. Still, it’s a better option than pizza every day — at least that’s what I tell myself. The crowds can get fairly large at peak hours(1230pm — 130pm), and the ordering process can seem overwhelming at times. However, just have faith in the system. It works — and they’ll get you in and out in no time. Despite what Homer Simpson says(«you don’t win friends with salad»), this will remain my go-to lunch spot. Protip — use the mobile app to pay for your salad and save $ 9 for every $ 100 you spend. Favorite salads: — Smokehouse steak with smoky poblano ranch dressing — Buffalo chicken with blue cheese dressing — Chipotle Cowboy

meeehhhhh. not as great as Chop’t. I got a chipotle cowboy(grilled chicken, black beans, avocado, pepper jack cheese, crispy onions) w/o avocado and swapped out romaine for spinach. Its OK, I thought they would of shredded the pepper jack but instead it’s cubed, making it overbearingly creamy. no me gusta. i most likely won’t get this specific salad again but will maybe try something else.

First, must disclaim that I LOVE the Just Salad chain and concept. Love having a salad with a protein for lunch. What gives this place a two star rating is simply the staff. The food is great. But it is almost comical how rude the employees are here and how disinterested they are in serving the just salad fan base. I will routinely, purposely, make sure to «GOODAFTERNOON!» to the first person in line and seldom do I ever receive a greeting or even a smile back. The staff is mumbling under the ambiance in the restaurant so I am always asking them to repeat what they are asking. I heard a staff member arguing with someone on their cell phone to the point where the woman in line in front of me gave me a look off discomfort! There is zero desire for the employees to make this a positive experience for the customer. Food is great, there is no doubt that I will go to other locations. With the new Nanoosh next door where I am always greeted with a smile and a desire to meet all of my needs to make it an outstanding meal, I’m certain the JS will lose business(already losing mine). Again, outstanding salads for lunch, the staff needs some serious training, and that starts with management.

Giving it a good review only because I love Just Salad. Reasonably priced for a salad that actually keeps you full. They definitely don’t skim out on any part of the salad. This place is ridiculously packed during lunchtime though. When I went at ~1 P.M., the line went out the door. One of the workers was going down the line to take the orders, but she didn’t carry a menu. Luckily I already knew what I wanted. I can imagine it would be annoying if you were only going to Just Salad for the first time. Inside the store, you can barely hear the servers/choppers call your name and ask you questions about how you want your salad. I had to do some serious lip-reading to get my salad. Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.

First time going here — it was nice to be able to order it for pickup but I was pretty disappointed by the salad. The kale wasn’t de-ribbed or «massaged» and in an attempt to avoid the tiny Chopped-style pieces, I got mine un-chopped…which left me with huge pieces of kale(literally 6+ inches long with huge ribs). The portion size was generous, except for the two-bite size piece or bread that I barely noticed was there, and the toppings were good. I’d maybe try again and get it chopped and skip the kale but it wouldn’t be my first choice. One comment on the pickup time: it said 45 – 60 mins, which I thought was odd since it was 4 pm on a Friday, but then when I went it was completely empty… so I guess you can disregard that when it’s not peak lunch hours.

This is my go-to spot for a quick lunch. Usually I try to come before 12:00 and there’s barely anyone in the line, so I can get my salad chopped really well and won’t find a surprise croûton in my salad. However when I do have to come after 12, there’s usually a very long line but it moves quickly, so don’t let the line scare you :) My favorite salad is the Tandoori Fire salad. The Thai Crunch and Chipotle Cowboy are also good. If you haven’t tried Just Salad before, don’t get the seasonal ones, it’ll give you a bad first impression. I’ve tried several of their seasonal items and they are either disappointing or overpriced. If you eat here at least once a week, get the Level Up app and pay with it, you can get $ 10 off when you spend $ 100, and a free reusable bowl when you spend $ 200.

Located downstairs within the Rockefeller Center Concourse, next to GNC and dry cleaners. VERY busy during lunch here. At 12:30PM, the line wraps around the corner, buzzing with Rockefeller Center employees. You can jump to the head of the line though if you’re picking up a prepaid online order or not ordering salad. No seating available here(and good luck finding a lunch seat in the Concourse’s common areas), so this is just a grab-and-go type of place. I dropped some LevelUp credit here and got SuperEats Kale + Chia Chips in Chili Lime($ 1.95 total): Packed with flavor, though the bag was not. There was also a so-so aftertaste to these… 11⁄30: Buffalo Kale Caesar Salad: Ick. The Spicy Buffalo salad dressing was essentially just hot sauce, which overpowered anything remotely Caesar Salad-esque about this. If you’re going to order this salad, at least opt for a different dressing.

Love this place! I’ve been going to Just Salad for about three years now for lunch, and there are 45 pounds less of me to show for it. It’s my go to for great salads almost every day. Fresh ingredients and enough variety to keep you interested. It is a busy place because of the great quality, but don’t be scared off by the line it moves quickly!

I order lunch from Just salad every day and have never had a problem. Today, however, was a different story. Upon opening my salad, I found a bug on its back with its legs facing up at me. I brought the salad back to the store and asked for a refund. I was told this has«been happening to a lot of customers, as it is the season» and that if it happens again, I will be refunded. Very disappointing I am switching to Chop’t.

I’m getting real sick of this location. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad. God forbid you want to add extras to it!!! I ordered online like I always do. I asked for 2x extra beets, 1x chickpeas and red and green pepper mix. Guess what I got when I went ALL the way back to my office??? Salad, small amount of chickpeas, some beets certainly not 2X no way! I’ve ordered that before and I know what it looks like. NOCHICKENIN A BUFFALOCHICKENSALAD!!! NOCHEESE!!! Where is my CHEESE! It comes with chicken and cheese celery and tortilla strips standard! All missing! I mean CMON! I even ordered after the real buzz of traffic in there late 130pm… it was dead in there! I paid 12 bucks for lettuce!!! UGH beyond frustrated.

This is my go-to for lunch from the office. The smell from outside is really funky but that is not indicative of the food. The salads are reliable, varied enough to keep me coming back and a pretty good value for the price. I typically go with a smokehouse or a chipotle cowboy but I’ve tried them all and never been disappointed. The place kind of gives me a headache with all of the noise and yelling and rushing but I’m happy to be in and out so quickly. Definitely get a reusable bowl for your own economic sake and to reduce waste. Also, definitely use the app as you’ll get $ 10 back for every $ 100 spent and earn rewards over time. It’s not Chop’t. New Year’s Resolution Salad. Pretty good looking salad menu however it seemed like 80% of the salad menu includes meat, which is strange. Staff was friendly but seemed like they wanted to be there less than I did. If you do go, go early or late. everyplace in 30 rock is crowded from 12 to 1.

Don’t be intimidated by the long line at lunch, these guys are fast! Also if you’re making an ala carte salad or adding toppings, good luck, because once you get to that section its total chaos with the workers running around. Anyways but a plastic bowl and get free toppings, not a bad deal.

This JS is impossible to find via search despite opening in 2009, which makes the fact that they ignore orders surprising(bread was skipped despite a request, and the avocado apparently exempt from the chopped part). Physically, it’s with the other concourse shops. They tied up my bag differently on a dead friday evening, and the staff was nice enough. The Chipotle Cowboy Salad was fortunately quite a tasty option once you pour on the dressing. For pickup, disregard the 60 min time(here’s the highest I’ve seen) during nonpeak times. Although I don’t consider myself a salad person, Just Salad has led me to believe that I could become one. The different salads can vary in terms of taste, so if you’re a salad newbie like me it may take a few tries until you find out which one(and which ingredients in general) you prefer, but once you do, oh boy. I now know that a salad can be genuinely tasty based on its vegetarian ingredients alone, and that I can eat a healthy lunch for roughly $ 9. I have a big appetite, but one surprising thing about Just Salad is how huge the portions are — come here hungry and leave stuffed. My personal favorite is The California on baby spinach with hard-boiled eggs(instead of egg whites), chickpeas, and roasted red peppers. For salad newbs I’d recommend figuring out which base green and protein you prefer and then work from there with the pre-selected items. Just Salad also offers a couple of options to encourage customer loyalty and add value to your purchase. Getting the bowl(2 free basic extras) and the loyalty card(I believe it’s 5% off after 1pm or 10% off after 2pm) are completely worth it. The one thing I dislike about Just Salad are the lines. If I’m hungry and want to have lunch I should be able to go and get it with a minimal wait, but the lines can get absurdly long during the 12pm-2:30pm range as there’s a 20-person deep line coming out of the door. People move through the line fairly quickly, but when it’s that long Just Salad isn’t always consistently available. I heard they have an online ordering option, and while I haven’t tried it yet I still think on principle they have to work the line management better for the many people who don’t use this option.

I get the same salad wrap everytime. The quality seems great in my opinion because my stomach is always satisfied after. –Mesclun Lettuce –Grilled Chicken –Carrots –Corn –Wonton Skins –Asian Sesame Dressing I always eat my chicken salad wrap with Veggie Chips from Trader Joes. It is a dangerously delicious combination, and I save my money from having to buy a small bag of Air and 8 – 10 chips for more than a dollar. The customer service is cool. I personally have no complaints. I normally go there at 11:30 or after 2, so I don’t have to deal with ridiculous lines. But even if there is a line i’m very patient and don’t care. If i could rewind time and eat the same thing over, I would, and my life would be Just Salad.

I had a surprisingly pleasant first experience at this location. I went at peak lunch hour and the line moved pretty quickly; I was in and out within 10 minutes. They got my order right. My one persnickety comment is that I want my bowl filled to the brim –this salad is over $ 10. They came in slightly under which I think is an easy fix. I will return.
