Got fooled three times before I realized this isn’t the halal guys. They are a really pretty good copycat, down to the yellow and red bags and yellow sweatshirts. Overall, the food is pretty solid, but the halal guys really is just a little bit better tasting. The halal for all cart does seem to dole out bigger portions though and has a lot shorter line, so that’s worth something. If it wasn’t for feeling like I got cheated because of their copycat marketing, I prolly would have given 5 stars.

I got fooled today. I didn’t even notice until I got home and started eating. While the lamb, rice, lettuce, & pita are the same, the white sauce is more«vinegary» and the chicken is unusually dry. I’m not saying that it’s bad, I’m just saying it’s just not the same. Very disappointed.

OK so I have seen many reviews below stating these are the«Halal Guy’s» and that they have been told so… «ITSALL A LOADOFCRAP» you guys were tricked into believing it. They are nothing but yet another cart trying to bank of the success of «Halal Guy’s». That being said I don’t understand why. These guys are good enough on their own, Now I am an long standing loyalist of Halal Guy’s but I do try other places especially the ripoffs, but these guys are so far best Halal Guy’s ripoffs. I think they should try to set their own identity which will actually be a better path. If you are looking for simply Chicken or Gyro over rice look no further you will be satisfied, but if you came over for Halal Guy’s please excuse this place.

They are not the real Halal Guys. They sport the yellow hoodies and the yellow bags; the chicken is dry. The taste is similar but I found the Halal Guys’ to be tastier. I would like to say that I had halal up to my throat from having to eat the real Halal Guys right after eating from this cart.

Contrary to popular belief, this IS the halal guys, they just changed their name.(Correct me if I’m wrong. Because the workers themselves had told me they were th halal guys but a different name) If it’s true, then this review is my opinion concerning it. If not, disregard. Their quality has significantly depleted over the years. Halal it’s was the absolute best halal food I’ve had-made with basmati rice also-delicious. Saying this, every time I go there now, the food taste more and more… Shitty. I’m giving three stars because I was a faithful customer for years but today is my last day eating here. It took me ten plus minutes walking there in the cold and snow. When I got back to work to eat everything looked okay-chicken and lamb over rice with white sauce and BBQ sauce with three slices of pita bread. It tasted like average halal food. Ugh I’m just sad because it used to be so good but now I can save time and just go to a local one instead.

Just as good as the Halal Guys, skip the line unless standing on line is your thing or you want the experience. It’s just street meat for god sakes. Red sauce is a really hot, perfect.

Possibly a subsidiary of Halal Guys. The sauces are identical in taste AND containers. These guys are on 52nd St and 6th Ave on the Sw Corner. This is possibly the cart known as «Mr Shendys» and was bought out by the«Halal Guys» company so its supposed to be identical. The thing that gives it away is the to-go white/hot sauce containers which are definitely the same. They have large signs all over saying«We are the original» but their bags say the name«Halal for All» I’ve tried all 3 of the clones — this cart, Halal Guys, and New York’s best. Same deal as all the others– $ 6 for chicken/lamb, foil tin, comes with hot sauce and white sauce, yellow bag… you know how it works. So here’s how it compares: — Portion — similar to NY’s Best– they give you a lot but not packed to the brim like Halal guys. — Their hot sauce is very spicy but not as bad as Halal guys, you definitely cant pile it on. Tastes very similar — The white sauce tastes really good, not like the watered down ranch at Halal guys. — The pita was warm and soft which was completely different from the other locations. — Chicken was just average — tiny minced pieces so it looks almost pulled. Honestly all 3 places have chicken that isnt anything to write home about. — The lamb — minced just like Halal guys so it looks almost like taco meat. However, it had a LOT of flavor… definitely noticeable compared to the other guys. — Hot sauce and white sauce served on top while ordering, plus you can get extra to-go containers like Halal guys — No line — everyone’s fawning over Halal guys so these dudes don’t seem busy and its a shame since they definitely serve a better meal. All in all, I’d rank these guys very close to New Yorks best, with Halal Guys coming in a distant third place. I hope more people start to visit so the 53rd Halal Guys improves on their low quality food that gets so much attention.

First off, these guys have a cart on the same corner as Halal Guys. They have a flag saying«Express Line» and have the same color scheme as Halal Guys. THEYARENOTHALALGUYS. Please look at their shirts carefully before you give them your money. I felt so scammed. I should have just stood in the long line cuz that’s where it is at! My boy friend and I walked all the way back to our hotel with our heads hung in disappointment.
