My friend and I dropped by Gregory’s Coffee for a quick cold brew on our way to the subway, and it while it wasn’t among the best brews I have sampled, it was nonetheless A-OK. However concentrated though, the barista could have filled the cup at least 3⁄5 of the way with the brew; she barely filled half of it.

Oh my Jeezus! Why are the lines so friggin’ long here every morning? It must be the single origin coffee! «I’ll have one of those please.» What I should have said was: take a six ounce cup, fill it with 5 ounces of the bitterest coffee you can find, and charge me $ 4.50 for it. There is literally one size for every drink: coffee, lattes, capuccinos… frap-thingies. And yet they have 3 sizes of cups placed conveniently by the register, in front of a giant chalkboard menu that makes no reference to said cup-sizing. So instead of getting a «medium» capuccino at Charbucks for $ 4.00 you MUST be content with a «small», because the«nice» barrista person will tell you stone cold that there is one size for your order. I suppose those large cups then are just for show, in case anyone got ideas for a large coffee, before being mercilessly shot-down like an «un-hip», deranged person. I was literally told about my 5 ounce single-origin: «that’s all the vessel holds», before she nonchalantly handed it back to me. Really? Because I am seeing about 1.5 ounces of coffee clearance after paying $ 4.50. I should have paid $ 2.00 for it and said«That’s all my wallet ‘vessel’ could hold». Oversight much? Probably not considering it’s Park Ave. However, I’d originate my single-origin and foamless small cappucinos from elsewhere, which were close to lukewarm anyway. Hope someone gets brave and updates the chalkboard accordingly, with actual sizing information. Wouldn’t that be «hip» as well?

Great spot for some finely-crafted espresso beverages and comfy seating. We’ve come here a few times on weekends to plan upcoming trips, and it has generally been a chill environment, save the occasional screaming small human. We last stopped in on Mothers’ Day, and they had some complementary brownie samples available in light of the occasion. I had a medium latte, and it was massive for the price. I feel like a medium here might be a large elsewhere. The espresso is obviously quality, the overall latte product smooth. Splenda, my sweetener of choice, was available, which his not always the case. They also had Sugar in the Raw. My boyfriend had the Morning Boost smoothie that contained so much granola, I would nearly classify it as a solid. He really enjoyed it. 4.5 stars, really.

Cool little coffee place up in midtown. Nice cashier, plus the barista did a fine job with my cappuccino. I like their logo as well.

This is the next Gen Starbucks. They do Aeropress which is great. But their organization is poorly done. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered this and they call it out and someone takes off with it. Take names for drinks. Step it up. If you’re going to run it like the titanic Starbucks get better organized.

I usually get coffee from other spots in the area, but when I stop by because of convenience, I’m always satisfied. The lines in the morning are annoying, but they have fresh baked pastries that are unique and I think that’s what sets them apart. Definitely better than Starbucks. Their Aeropressed single origins are pretty good. The espresso here is very robust here but a charred note? I usually get a cortado and some sugar or a cappuccino(very smooth here). Their Walnut Banana Bread is really good, not too dense. They also have a giant Rice Krispie treat made with Chex, which is my guilty pleasure. They woo me now and again by dropping $ 2 in my LevelUp account every few months. There is a lot of space to sit/work with laptops, but they are usually taken. I have to say this place has some of the happiest workers I’ve ever encountered, they are always smiling and friendly to everyone! They’re never impatient when waiting for your order and also offer suggestions if you’re new. Lastly, the tall brinette lady that walks around(manager) is also very friendly and warm to everyone. In fact, she made my Aeropressed coffee one day! Thank you! Recommended: Banana Walnut Bread, Cappuccino, Aeropressed single origins, Cold Brew, Iced Teas, Chex Rice Crispie

Even if the line is long, you are in and out of there in no time. A New Yorkers dream. Great cold brew coffee. Nice area to hang out or get work done.

The coffee is awesome here. The staff is cool, the service is quick and I love the ambience of the place. Gregory’s is something different than the other chain… a breath of fresh air, if you will. If you’re going to go for anything here, go for the red-eye coffee. Energy-wise: you’ll be set for the day. The prices are, no doubt, way too high. I’d come here every day… but maybe I’ll just limit my visits to paydays…

First time at this location. I had $ 5 from Level Up app. I Ordered the Dirty Chai. So good. This place is very clean, plenty of seating, lots of pastries, lots of lighting, bathroom and free wifi. Great place to chill after work, weekends or just to grab a cup of joe. Very cool coffee place in the city.

Design is hip here. I dig it. Got a soy vanilla latte with an extra shot and it was watery, no kick either. Not impressed and not sure how this place has a 4 star review!

Maxed out on caffeine but want something to sip on? Try the peanut pleaser smoothie. Simple ingredients(soy milk, PB, banana + whey protein) — but oh so tasty. Slurped it down in 5 minutes on the go!

Great coffee shop in Herald Square! Although seating is somewhat limited, the coffee is reasonably priced and in a great location! Would definitely check it out!

The place can get super busy but they have a good system. The espresso is good. And I like the group of people that work here; they are cheery and helpful even when we aren’t, and that can be contagious.

While I think Fika and Café M make better coffee in the general vicinity, it’s not that bad at all. Pretty good mint tea also, a bit sweet but otherwise good.

Pretty quick turnover rate in the morning, as they try to service everyone as quickly as possible. The blueberry crumb muffin was small and light, did not taste super oily or sit too heavily so it was a good portion and option for a grab-and-go morning item for that occasional muffin-morning.

I’ve heard so many good things about this spot so had to check it out myself. I got a pumpkin latte with soy milk and my cousin got a mocha. Both drinks were really good. I love that my drink wasn’t super sweet which is what I feel from getting starbucks PSL. The service is executional too. Very friendly baristas! I loved the set up of this one. We chose to sit near the window and it was a small table with bar stools facing the window so you can peopl
