We went here with our friends for dinner and I had sushi rolls from one of the stalls. It was OK. It seemed at the time a bit too busy and hectic. I needed to go around couple of times to understand options for food. Perhaps a better sign posts at entrance would save time for customers

I am so glad this place was close to my hotel. I was not prepared for the cold. I had to wear so many layers of my Phoenix wardrobe that I looked like a poor Danish immigrant making her way through Manhattan for the first time. Indie Fresh saved my life with their broths. Blue Bottle is probably one of my favorite cups of coffee, and the environment is perfect for people watching on a day when going outside makes your tears freeze to your face. Not because you’re sad, but because the wind is sucking your eyeballs dry. Dammit, get me back to the desert!

Tried 2 places here: Ivan Ramen and Choza Taqueria. While both were good, the prices at this place are not so friendly. I will say, however, this venue is excellent for being a food court, and it is usually packed. I recommend ordering and them grabbing a table — the picnic style tables near Ivan Ramen were an adorable setting with a homey vibe. The atmosphere here is bustling, but some corners are quieter than others. You can sit by Blue Bottle Coffee with your laptop, and the bathrooms(downstairs) and great. Lots of food options here — something for everyone! Also, very kid friendly(lots of strollers), so no worries about volume.

Fashionable, upscale food court under a high priced residential tower exemplifying gentrification’s westward momentum; the lighting is dim and the vibe is cool(too cool?) and we haven’t quite found what we’re looking for the couple of times that we’ve stopped in and haven’t stayed long. Food choices include sushi, ramen, ice cream, charcuterie, tapas and Mexican cuisine. In addition to common tables with benches most establishments have bar-type seating in front of their food-prep areas and Genuine Roadside(which offers mostly sandwiches and salads) has its own section with booths. Perhaps to assure the proper quotient of «hipness» for the young and trendy there’s also a bicycle shop. Facilities are downstairs; Gotham West is accessible.

Huge fan of this place! Remarkable list of vendors ranging from sushi and local coffee to delicious ramen and tacos. But above all, be sure to stop by Ample Hills Creamery for some killer ice cream. Pretty packed usually, but that shouldn’t stop you. The West Side has been needing a place like this so if you ever find yourself on 11th Ave, definitely check it out! You’ll never leave hungry.

Moved to this neighborhood about one month ago and I guess I’m still not doing a good job of discovering decent food places; otherwise how can I miss this perfect spot? A great selection of food shops are located inside this food court — have been to slurp twice but nothing else. Would love to keep trying dough(they have the best donut in NY), bar de tapas and Genuine. There are also plenty of space inside for sitting.

I’m pretty impressed by this market’s list of vendors. –Uma Temakeria(sushi) –Indie Fresh(hipster soups & salads) –Ample Hills Creamery(ice cream, etc) –Blue Bottle Coffee(café) –The Cannibal(lots of meat) –El Colmado(tapas) –Genuine Roadside(comfort) –Ivan Ramen(ramen) –Choza Taqueria(tacos, etc) –Evelyn’s Kitchen(baked goods) My favorites are Cannibal and Ample Hills, both of which I ate at in my most recent visit. I think this is a great addition to the neighborhood and I’m looking forward to my next visit. The actual venue inside is pretty nice and a lot more spacious than I expected. I liked the communal tables, it makes it easy to visit with a group or sneak into an open seat. Finally, there is staff present who clear the trash less civilized people leave behind and keep the general area clean.

I’m disappointed to hear that Gotham West Market isn’t renewing Evelyn’s Kitchen’s lease and they’re closing up shop soon. It’s the only place in the market that specializes in gourmet baked goods. This change will definitely narrow the options of what the market has to offer. As a sugar-holic, I’m not anticipating the long walk I’ll have to do when I want any quality cake, cookies or brownies! Not happy about that. Aside from the anticipated lack of cake, the other vendors offer some good stuff. Genuine Roadside has the BEST burgers in NYC in my opinion. I also like the Ample Hills Creamery. I can’t decide which is my favorite flavor — probably munchies or butter cake. I’ve tried them all and you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose. They definitely use quality ingredients because a medium cup of ice cream is so light. When you’re done with it, all you will remember is the glorious flavor. No sugar hangover and you won’t feel like crap after! As for the ambiance of the market — love the industrial décor and they have wifi & outlets all over the place encouraging people to spend time there. However, the welcoming feel is strongly contradicted with the noise level of music. They blast it, so carrying on a conversation is really difficult. Anytime I’ve met friends there, we end up leaving the market to find a less noisy spot to chat and get coffee. In the summer, the outdoor seating is a great place to enjoy the food, coffee and peace(relatively speaking)!

This place gets 5 stars for the concept but since everything is very pricey I had to knock a star off. I went to genuine and got a chicken sandwich and fries which cost me $ 17. My friend went to get ramen which cost her $ 15 and wasn’t even fresh by the way so be careful. Honestly I love the idea of taking some of the cities bests and putting them all in one location but I’m not sure I’ll be back here.

This place is a gem. It reminds me of an eataly(sans grocery shopping), but here you can actually grab a seat and deal. Each restaurant has its own lil setup. I went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t crowded at all. I tried the burger place and didn’t regret it. I’d come here for: a first date, a cute date for 2, grabbing a glass of wine to catch up with a friend, when you can’t decide where to eat out but want to «try something new».

Gotham West Market is a great concept and reminds me of a cafeteria. I would definitely come here with picky eaters because there’s something here for everyone. I personally wasn’t a fan of the ramen. I had a bite of my friend’s fried chicken sandwich. Got two tacos from choza taqueria which were great. Also tried some cider and a cookie from cannibal. And if you’re feeling bad about everything you just ate, you can check out the bike store in here as well.

Cool idea. I like having all these choices. I had the ramen at Ivan’s, which was alright. Kinda pricey. But I like that it’s not overcrowded. I got to try samples from the Creamery, so I ended up with the munchies and salted caramel in a kid sized cup for 3.50. Very good ice cream. Customers have to put their stuff away. Also went to the taco place. 3 tacos for 8 bucks. Very good, but I preferred the steak options to the chicken.

This place open up fills desolate Westside devoid of decent eateries. Gotham West Market has you covered. It contains within a plethora of eats for everyone’s taste buds. The industrial interior space is easily laid out in an easy navigable manner. You got your Spanish, your ramen, your Mexican, your cupcake and dessert fix. Each has its own bar counter seating. The service and food for each has been consistently good at the several food stalls I’ve tried. This is a one stop shop for those who can’t decide and if you can’t find something to eat here then you are way too fussy and should just cook your own food and eat at home.

This is a nice little food court/cafeteria area with ample seating and televisions to occupy your attention. It’s in Hell’s Kitchen, but by the water, so it’s far enough away from the crowds. It was not crowded at all on a Saturday night. Plus the unisex bathrooms downstairs have a good amount of stalls and are decently clean. There is also a bike shop — NYC Velo, which I thought was cool. There is not a ton of food selection, but the variety is pretty good. At least it is not overwhelming for the indecisive. Uma Temakeria — sushi hand rolls Indie Fresh for the health conscious Ample Hills Creamery — because it’s never a bad time to have ice cream Blue Bottle Coffee — for people who miss SF coffee Cannibal — meaty, snacky, shared plate things Ivan Ramen — if I ever happen to come back, I’d like to try the ramen.

Another solid food hall/court amongst the amazing ones located throughout the city. The place is located in the more southern portion of Hell’s Kitchen. The space has an industrial vibe and is quite spacious. Never have had an issue finding a place to sit in the evenings. There are business-specific seating areas as well as communal areas. My favorites here are Ivan Ramen Slurp Shop(solid ramen as well as other offerings), Ample Hills Creamery(best ice cream in the city!), Blue Bottle Coffee(probably one of my favorite coffee chains), and Genuine Roadside. An advantage of this place over the other food courts in NYC is that it is open a tad later than the other ones. One of these days I want to drop by in the mornings and come in to Ivan Ramen for breakfast — always been curious about their breakfast ramen, rice porridge, and scallion omelettes! Oh, and another plus about the space is that they have TV screens in the communal areas which are usually showing the relevant sports of the night, so not a bad place to drop by with friends to watch a game if you want to avoid the whole sports bar scene. Great food court that I definitely will be back to visit!

I can’t believe I didn’t discover this sooner. This market is jammed pack with goodness! I came here for ice cream and was blown away by the other food options. They have such a great variety! The ambience is kicker too. There’s great music, great seating, great staff, stylish people, and it’s surprisingly very clean!

Unlike many of the food courts in NYC, Gotham West Market is relatively small, but cleaner-looking with bright glass windows and it feels a bit more cozy and quiet. There’s less hustle and bustle here, which means it’s less of a tourist trap than places, such as Chelsea Market. The small food court is still quite impressive because of its great lineup of vendors totaling about 11 now. To summarize, there’s a bit of something for everyone. You want Mexican food? They got it. You want American food? They got it. You want Ramen? They got it. You want Salads? They got it. In my view, the highlight of the market is not the food, but the dessert, in the one and only Ample Hills Creamery! Although they have expanded a bit now and have multiple outposts, it’s never a bad thing to have one within sight. When I came here on a Saturday afternoon, it was relatively quiet with plenty of seating everywhere. Some people were there just relaxing and others were there to grab a quick bite. However, I noticed that it was pretty quiet inside and people were just doing their thing. It was a very chill atmosphere. We ended up grabbing a bite at Genuine Roadside, however I won’t comment too much on it here and save that review for their page. Gotham is not a food court that will«WOW» you with 30 different options, nor is it the spacious heaven on earth that many food courts have become. However, it will serve the purpose of satisfying your hunger still because it has a very respectable lineup of vendors to pick from.

Large«upscale» food court that is trying to be hip and trendy. They have a very diverse selection of food stalls here with something for everyone. You can find Japanese, Mexican, a coffeeshop, cookies, ice cream, health food, and more. The place is very clean and features cafeteria style seating. It is a little overpriced but is normal given the location and target customer base.

Gotham market is cute little spot with several eateries inside. I fairly enjoyed cannibal it offers small plates along with some other specialties. I had the steak tartare, arugula salad, and pork rinds. My husband ordered from Ivan Ramen his amazing pastrami Steam bun. It just melts in your mouth. If you just want to stop in for a bite to eat or just for a drink this is definitely a spot to try.

Yes, it’s a food court– but a much nicer one that just any mall food court! We were in town and looking for a place to eat for 7 after dropping a friend off at the Mega Bus pick up. We thought about K-town, but on a Saturday night, realized it would be WAY too crowded and would take forever for a group our size to get in — thus, how we ended up at Gotham West Market(GWM) There is plenty of seating and large tables at GWM, which is great if you have a larger group. With a wide array of food, it’s pretty easy for everyone to get something they like!(Ramen, Mexican, «healthy» food like bone broths/salads, chicken, bbq, tapas, sushi, icecream, etc.!) There is also a giant screen TV(which was playing college football which made my husband super happy) and clean bathrooms(which made me happy). Obviously, if you’re going after a specific food, like the best ramen NYC has to offer, or the best mexican food — you should go find that, not try it at GWM, but for a nice space for groups and many food options on the west side, the places here are great options.
