Worst place ever. They were out of almost everything on the menu and told us about it after we ordered and waited over 40 minutes. Also, the food was cold when it came. Would give it zero stars if I could. Avoid at all costs!

This place is the worst. Came in to place a simple order of chicken fingers and French fries. The he place made me wait 5 minutes to place the order BC it wasn’t yet 6pm. Anyway– a burger joint was out of French fries! And hot dogs … And then we ordered the chicken fingers. 10 minutes after ordering them, two staff members got into an argument about chicken fingers. l and whether they have them. I waited 50 minutes and still haven’t gotten my food. Total disaster. Will never ever even think about coming back.

I’ve been to Gotham Burger in Teaneck a couple of times. Great food and service, always enjoyed. So when I was out with my sister and her family in NY we decided to go to Gotham Burger in NY. Big mistake. We arrived about 6:20 pm Sunday, we got a table fairly quickly, the waiter too our order and then we waited and waited and waited and waited. At 7 I asked the waiter how much longer till the food comes out, he said about 20 minutes. By 7:15 the kids are not happy and the waiter tells us the food should be out in about 10 minutes. He offered to bring out some mashed potatoes and chilly for the kids, which we accepted. Meanwhile the adults had finished the drinks and we were starving too, there was no bread or chips out and I was getting pissed. At 7:30 I’m like this is crazy we are going to leave and just then the food slowly started coming out. By 7:45, an hour and 15 minutes after we first ordered, everyone had their food, everyone but me. The waiter says he will go check to see when it will be out. I finally get up and walk back to the kitchen to find out my order, a steak sandwich, was not available as they were out of steak!!! It took 1 hour and 20 minutes and me begging for my food before I’m told there is no food. I’m pissed and starving. I ask to speak to the manager, I’m told he’s in the kitchen and he will come to my table. I told them I will wait right here for him. After 10 minutes of standing by the kitchen I walk into the kitchen and ask who’s the manager«he’s up front» I go up front, there’s no manager. Meanwhile my sister’s kids need the restroom and there’s no toilet paper in the bathroom. She asks not one, not two but three different people if they can get toilet paper as the bathroom is out. Finally 10 minutes later someone comes in, after running down the block to purchase toilet paper. The manager is still nowhere. Apparently I’m not the only customer waiting for the manager, it seems as if the kitchen closed for an hour and there’s a slew of angry and hungry patrons. I finally spoke to a waiter who said he can help me(though not the manager) he says there was a party and they used up a lot of food and he apologies and offers to make me something else. I responded that if he couldn’t accommodate us and our order he should have let us know when we walked in or should have closed the restaurant for a private party and that j didn’t have time to wait while they cook me something else. He offered me a coupon for«next time» I’m like there won’t ever be a next time. He then said he will give us off our bill and took off $ 7(20%) from my husband’s meal. We headed home to NJ and decided to stop to pick me up some food from – Gotham Burger in Teaneck. If I had never been to the Teaneck location I would never go there. Turns out they are owned by the same person but obviously u see different management. Plus the Teaneck location has a better menu. I ordered my food, arrived less then 20 minutes later, my food was ready when I got there and I was happy. I’ve been to many many restaurants all across the Tristate area, the US and overseas and I’ve never experienced such service in my life. There’s no excuse. It’s unacceptable. I will never be back to the NY location. If your looking for a great burger joint Amsterdam Burger is down the block and is amazing. Stay away from Gotham Burger NY especially if you have kids and/or are hungry PS the waiter who took our order was really nice and helpful. I felt bad that because the kitchen F***ed up it reflects on him and I did give him a tip because he did work hard on our behalf

Terrible service. Delivery never arrived, and no one answered the phones. Am very disappointed and surely will not order from here again. Do not order from here…

I had a terrific meal. I’m not Jewish and I thought keeping Kosher was difficult. But after eating here I may convert. Damn fine burger. Big, juicy, and rare – the way I ordered it. My kid had the chicken fingers. I couldn’t resist and there was no way he was going to finish it anyway(big portions), so I ate some. They were the best I ever had. I usually don’t think of chicken fingers as adult food but I would order these chicken fingers for myself. How they make the chicken moist and not overcooked while the crust is crispy is beyond me. They really were perfect. It sounds odd but if they can make chicken fingers hit a high note, I’ll have to try some other items on the menu. The chili looked good at an adjacent table – maybe that’s worth a shot. Lastly, they have a nice little bar selection. I don’t know why but I didn’t expect beer on tap.

I was freezing when I walked by Gotham Burger on 95th and Amsterdam. But not for long. The food not only warmed my belly but it warmed my heart. I could tell it was made with love… because it was freaking delicious. I ordered Chili and Chicken fingers. The chicken fingers came with a blazing chipotle sauce that was nothing other than the nectar of the gods! There are few things better than dipping a tender and juicy Gotham Burger chicken finger into a cup of blazing chipotle. As for the chili… it’s difficult for me to explain the pleasure I received from this bowl of chili. It was spicy and sweet at the same. It was the ultimate paradox… but that didn’t stop me from ordering a second bowl and going to town on this conundrum. If you’re hungry… or have any room in your stomach whatsoever… head to Gotham burger and order the Chicken Fingers(w/blazing chipotle) and the Chili! You will not be disappointed.

This may be the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. We arrived on 2÷10÷16 at 10:20pm, and the restaurant closes at 12.(*note, the kitchen closes at 11:30 but they stay open until 12). So this should be plenty of time to grab burgers and chicken. Or so we thought. Obviously our arrival(paying customers) inconvenienced the staff greatly. We arrived at 10:20, and one of the staff members was putting all the chairs away. We walked in and asked, are you open now? He begrudgingly said yes and pout some chairs down at one table so we could sit somewhere and order. Here’s the good news: The food was mostly good. We had the 4-pack sliders and the chicken fingers, which were both very good, and we got the array of dipping sauces to use and all of those were good. But we also got the chicken wings, which were not. The bad news: Tt was freezing cold in the restaurant because the staff was terrible. And they had really bad attitudes about having more customers, when they obviously wanted to shut down and leave. It was below 20 degrees last night, but the staff — who we noticed had already changed out of their Gotham Burger clothes and into their own clothes because they clearly couldn’t wait to leave — kept walking in and out, holding the front door open to talk to each other, even keeping the wind protection door permanently open, which made the restaurant freezing. I even asked them could they please keep the door closed, but they ignored me. They also kept going in and out to a car that was double-parked outside, which clearly belonged to one of the employees. They kept taking turns going outside and into the car to smoke weed. They would then come back into the restaurant, reeking of pot. What, do they think we can’t smell it? morons. We finally asked saw someone we could ask for more water at about 11:10, and he acted like it was such an inconvenience to him. But he gave it to us. After we paid the bill and asked for some food to be wrapped up in a doggie bag, I asked for more dipping sauce to go with the chicken that we were taking home, and the staff member told me that he couldn’t get it for me because it was downstairs. Really?! Why is this an issue, I’m the customer and i requested more sauce, who cares where it is. As long as the restaurant is open, i expect the same service at any time of day during the operating hours. This failed miserably last night, and I will never go back again. And i plan to tell everyone what happened there. There ARE other kosher choices on the upper west side — places where the staff isn’t getting high and acting like a bunch of jackasses. I really hope the management sees this review and can respond to it, and address the staff’s horrible behavior. Because I’m disgusted by what happened last night.

Was there celebrating a friends birthday and ordered the house burger, rare. My burger came medium-well done. The food was very messy, as the burger was narrow and tall and was difficult to eat. Taste-wise, it was ok. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and overall great people to deal with. I just wish the food had been better. Everything was just soaked in oil, and lacking much flavor. In total, I ordered the house burger(which came with dips), fries, and onion rings. The onion rings were unique in texture, and I wanted to like them. They just lacked any flavor, and had way too much oil. If their menu improves, I would come back to give it a second chance.

So yummy. Ordered the appetizer(Split between two) plus a main dish. We were so full that by the time the main came, we asked to have it wrapped to take with us. Recommend. The fingers were really yummy as was the chicken with the variety of different sauces we could try it with. One thing they have that I’d never seen before was fried steak. Well, slices but it was new and not bad at all. Finally, the Daquaries were amazing.

This place is garbage. I ordered a «handmade» turkey burger that came out like a burnt processed pattie. It should have been ground turkey. The bathroom dryer doesn’t work so some genius put tissue napkins. When drying your hands the«genius paper» sticks to your hands. When the food is ready the server has to guess when to get your food since there’s not bell or notification for her at the time so it’s coldish. The place looks great and the kitchen is spotless so I was amped up for nothing. What a waist of life points. The quiet guy in the kitchen might be a serial killer. I’m just sayin because he sure murdered all the food coming out of that kitchen. Yeeesh. Only invite your enemies to Gotham burger and evil laugh at them as they eat gigantic bun with some bad burger.

Food delivered cold. Wing sauce was ok but out if the several style options no traditional buffalo option. «Gotham sauce» I found out a little too late is made of horseradish beet and mayo. YUCK! It’s kosher so no cheese or bacon option. Not that there is anything wrong with that but if you like those things this is not the burger joint for you.

More unfortunate than not, this is the only inexpensive kosher place open late. Their menu was disorganized, tables less than clear, options low due to a «busy night»(we were not allowed to order any sandwiches), and on top of that, my boyfriend’s burger was very raw! My burger was okay. Service took a very long time. Hostess did not know how to make certain drinks on the alcoholic menu(there was no bartender…) I wish there was another place open late in the area… I would not come here again.

Note their last 10 reviews are all 1-stars, then a fake 5-star, then some more 1-stars. No surprise that the Huledet bday deal couldn’t be redeemed.

Decent food. The sliders were good, though the waiter didn’t bother to ask how I wanted it done. The chili dog was one of the smallest hotdogs I’ve ever seen. The apple martini could’ve used a stronger type of liquor. The price is average for a city restaurant. The waiter was nice and attentive(though we were the only customers there) :) Street parking if you’re lucky.

Gotham burger was very generous. They were kind enough to give us both bad tasting food and salmonella when my wife and I went there a while back. They have since been shut down by the health department and hopefully have begun to change their ways.

Ordered over 100 $ worth of take out. It took them exactly 2 hours and 20 minutes for our food to get to us. Over the phone while ordering they were very rude and kept telling me to wait and putting me on hold. Took me 10 minutes to order food. They charged me 23 $ for a salad that was suppose to have avocados and chicken. There was no chicken or avocados, but on the receipt they charged me. Food was ok. Pretty soggy since they took over 2 hours to get here. Only pro is it’s Kosher…

This place was terrible. My bf and I walked in wanting to try this place out. Nobody greeted us or told us to have a seat, despite there being workers at the bar area in front. Okay. so we picked a table and sat down ourselves, thinking that if they saw new customers at a table they would attend to us. We were literally sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us or give us a menu. NOPE. Nobody said anything to us or gave us menus or water. So we walked out. How is this place still in business? Is this place a front for something? Because it doesn’t seem like they want anybody’s business. Save your time and skip this place. If you’re in the mood for burgers, I suggest Amsterdam Burger Co down the street.

I loved my burger! Juicy and thick patty. Delicious kaiser roll; perfectly toasted. The garlic mayo was AWESOME. Not too pungent with garlic, but just right. Waiter recommended I put on a little hot sauce and WOWZA! Glad I listened to him. The whole burger was just awesome. I went there during the NBA finals and the waiting staff was very friendly and didn’t rush me. They took care of me, even though I was just drinking water. I also ate their chili fries. I enjoyed them, not the best, but they hit the spot. Their fried Oreos are TODIEFOR!!!
