I don’t know what people are thinking with the reviews. Maybe they’re still on a high from their wedding, but to be completely honest, I am extremely disappointed in Gabriel’s service. Gabriel did my hair + 7 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and a flower girl. He promised to bring an assistant to help with hair, as I asked on 2 separate occasions if he’ll be able to finish 11 girls on time. He showed up the day of the wedding without an assistant. We were rushing to get girls done and went past the «be ready by» time. He was NOT flexible with hairdo’s at all. Basically if he doesn’t know how to do a hairstyle, he will try to talk you out of it endlessly. Every one of my girls with the exception of 1 was dissatisfied with his service. As the bride, he sprayed so much hairspray on my side bangs that they were hard and crunchy to the touch. It looked disgusting in pictures. My hair was falling out and was completely frizzy in the back/​not smoothed out. My 2 maids of honors’ hair fell out on our way to the reception. My mom’s hair was frizzy and she was very disappointed. I keep looking back at pictures and wish I never booked him. Yes, his prices are reasonable, but do NOT work with him directly. If you must book through him, request another stylist or have him state in the contract that he’s bringing an assistant. Oh, he also charged me full price for a bridesmaid who’s hair was short up to her ears. He blow dried it for 5 minutes then told her he can’t do anything else despite that she argued with him for 10 minutes telling him to at least make a braid. He refused and said it’s too short, he can’t work with it. He would not refund me the money. Booking Gorgeous Bride for hair was my biggest regret of the wedding. The makeup artist Adrianna was wonderful, though. I give her 5 stars.

I worked with gorgeous bride for my wedding make up. The owner was nice in the beginning but when i went do my trial session he acted very weird about the payment. We were supposed to be ten girls having make up for the wedding and in the beginning he said that they have discount for groups but then he said that the discount was for hair and make up, not only make up. He wanted us to pay the whole amount of money all together on that day. He said he wouldnt make us pay the fake eye lashes but then when we said that maybe since we wouldnt have a discount we would have been less than ten people, he charged us for the eye lashes. It was very unpleasant.
On the other hand, the artist we had was AMAZING! Her name is Adriana and i really really recommend her! She did a wonderful job, she was extremely nice and professional, she answered all my questions and gave me useful tips about make up. I wish i could have her in my bathroom every morning! :)
Gorgeous Bride is also the cheapest place i found for brides make up in new york, the price for the bride is 175 $, other places i checked were starting from 250 $.

I was very happy with my experience with Gorgeous Bride. I live in Kansas and got married in NYC, so I made all arrangements sight unseen. When I went to NYC for my trial run-​through, all I needed to do was show a picture to Mabel, the stylist, and she knew what to do. She did a great job on my hair and makeup. On my wedding day, she came to our hotel and did an even better job on my hair and makeup. I don’t think I’ve ever seen myself look so good. It was amazing! I wish I had a Mabel in my bathroom every morning. She was super patient and easy to work with. My only real criticisms are that I wish we had started a little earlier on my wedding day because we were late meeting our photographer, but it all worked out. Also, it sometime takes Gabriel (the owner?) a few days to respond to emails, but it wasn’t a problem.
