Uptown Girl NYC

I’ve never had a worst experience. I’ve never felt so inclined to leave any comments for service, let alone a poor comment. This is how bad my experience was.
After months of research and years of waiting to do eyelash extensions, I settled on Linda from Uptown Girl.
The appointment started 30 minutes late. There was not a consultation. She informed me she would do something natural. There was no mirror in the room, and I washed my eye make up off myself from a bowl which formerly had disinfectant and was cleaned without soap and only Linda’s fingers. The appointment continued three hours, with nothing but pain. Glue was applied directly to my lash line, so heavily that the fumes created wincing in my eyes. The salt from my tearful eyes, gumped in to the over glue on my lashes and Linda had to poke and tear apart my natural lashes to the point that my natural lashes are now torn, and I have punctures in the skin of my eyelid. This process continued for the entire three hours. At this point, with swollen eyes I was rushed out of the room to see the eyelashes by myself in the bathroom downstairs. Not only was the process literally dangerous, and excruciatingly painful the lashes were horrible. They were all the same length, instead of being shorter on the edges of your eyes and longer in the center. They were also all the same thickness, from the edges to the center, instead of being thinner on the outsides and thicker near the center. They were completely uneven in spacing, having large gaps in some areas and not in others. And the eyelashes were so long and curled they literally hit my eyebrows. I looked like a train wreck. Swollen red eyelids, hopefully that do not get infected, and horrible spidery lashes.
I would never have asked for eyelashes to look like this if haven provided a consultation prior to starting.
I reiterate, not only was the procedure dangerous because of the pulling and tearing at my skin so close to my eyeball, the end result was completely unnatural and not attractive.
I would never recommend Linda for eyelash extensions at Uptown Girl. My eyes are still literally in pain and swollen. I had to immediately make an emergency appointment at Wink’s on 36^th Street to have the lashes removed that Linda applied. At Wink’s they were courteous and gentle, and extremely studious in not tearing my skin more then it already was from the over gluing. They were so nervous about the punctures in the skin they saw from Linda, they needed the owner to do the removal procedure. It was such a different and professional and gentle painless experience at Wink’s now I really know how the process is supposed to feel. I wonder if this was Linda’s first time doing lashes, or if she was someone filling in for Linda. Something was greatly amiss. Greatly amiss.

Ada did my lashes and she did an unbelievable job!!! My eyes are soooo Glamorous looking !!! She filled every single lash on my eye with extensions… I am so happy!!!

Linda is the best at lash extensions in NYC– she is so professional and also calming and easy to talk with during the long procedure .
The ONly issue in have is she works out of state every 3 weeks and that seems to be the exact time I need a refill.
She really is the BEST!!!

Linda is not a great «Lashista» — she is THE great «Lashista»! She is as professional as they come. She doesn’t just apply lashes; she has a comprehensive understanding of all the aspects involved. I have been to several different salons for lash extensions (in Seattle, LA, & Memphis) and Uptown Girl by far is the best! Linda does the most amazing job with my lashes. She accepts nothing less than perfection! She uses high quality lashes and glue unlike other places I have been to in the past. It is definitely worth the money. I wouldn’t risk my lashes to a place that offers super cheap full-​sets. You definitely get what you pay for. I love my lashes so much! I get so many comments about how gorgeous they look. When I tell them they’re extensions they don’t believe me because they look so real! Also, getting your lashes done by Linda is like hanging out and chatting with a girlfriend! She makes it fun! Her lashes are perfect for special occasions but also for everyday wear. I have a full set and I get them touched up about once every 3 weeks. I’ve been swimming and snorkeling with them and they still look great after. I love the way they look– they really make my eyes ‘pop’! I can’t live without Linda’s lashes!

I have been going to Uptown Girl to get my lashes done with Linda and I have to say she is a very talented woman,(she is really a eyelash artist) sweet and professional. I had but a positive experience though and through. I had my lashes done at a nail salon in Jersey last year for my wedding, and they started falling out after 1 week. They were also pretty cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. I was nervous to try again, this time I wanted to see a specialist. Linda does such a fabulous job on my lashes. She also recommends products to me that will help maintain my lashes health and the proper eye makeup remover without the bad chemicals in it. She’s a total pro in her field! I get so many compliments on them! I highly recommend Uptown Girl — I would not use anyone else.

My experience with Uptown Girl NYC was phenomenal. They truly understand the Art of Extension. I had eyelash and hair extensions done and they were both so natural and undetectable! My closest friends graciously complimented me without even realizing I had any work done! My hair is fuller and more vibrant and my eyelashes are suttle but oh so sexy!
It is the best beauty investment I have made in years. My hair extensions are well balanced throughout my scalp, the color is just right and requires little maintanence. I would recommend Uptown Girl to anyone who is looking to have a hair and eyelash extensions by an experienced professional. My search is over and yours should be too!
