I have been going to Gloria for my facials for several months and I must say, my brown spots are barely noticeable, the texture of my face is smoother, and the elasticity has improved dramatically. In addition, her products are what I can not live without. I am using the eye serum, the reverse serum, and her SPF moisturizing cream for the face. Her products are the only one I use and/​or need for a youthful looking skin. Her products are all natural and they are organic base. I will not change for any other products in the market.

I agree completely disgusting they need to start actually cleaning. Run don’t look back just run

I love the Natural Skin Care Line. I’ve been using the Gloria Cabrera Skin Care Regimen and my complexion is the best it’s ever been in years. I have Saborrheic Dermatitis, Rosacea and Cystic Acne and nothing has worked on my skin as good as this has. My dark spots lightened, forehead wrinkles smoothed out and my acne and scars have greatly improved. My husband loves the difference too. Thank you Gloria for the awesome skin products.

Recommend highly! no one cuts my hair better than Gloria. I now live in Paris and try to come to New York as many times as possible and always go to Gloria for my haircut. Haven’t found anyone better not even in Paris. My hair is hard to cut as it is curly on one side — flat on the back and just plain unruly. But when i get my haircut from Gloria, I don’t have to worry about it. Seems like whatever she does makes my fall better and don’t need extra care. Wish she had a branch in Paris.

This place is disgusting, dirty, and the owner is downright rude.
I came here for a blowout. I was honestly disgusted at the quality of the salon. Looks like they haven’t cleaned the place in months.
But most specifically, after paying for my blowout, I was supposed to get $ 68 in change. The owner only gave me $ 48 and walked away. When I told her that she miscounted and she owed me $ 20, she started yelling at me and made a scene in the salon saying that «she has never been accused of giving the wrong change before». Im not sure whether she tried to cheat me out of 20 bucks or just made a mistake, but the way she was acted was extremely unprofessional and disgusting.
Please save yourself your time and money, don’t come here.

I have been to so many notable spas in the city but none compares with the warmth and hospitality that you experience at the Gloria Cabrera Salon and Spa. The staff treats me like royalty always! Gloria has also expanded and just recently launched her new line of natural skin care products. I have been using her beauty regimen package including her best selling skin lightening soap with glutathione. I swear it has changed my skin — it“s been softer, supple and free of blemishes. I think I look younger as well as my friends noticed during our recent high school reunion that I was frozen in time. I highly recommend you to try the Gloria Cabrera Salon and Spa for all your beauty services –from hair, make-​up, facial, body massage and nails. My hair is cut and styled by Gloria Cabrera. Every time I see her, she does wonders on my flat, thin hair and transforms it into another easy-​to-​care for, voluminous, sculptural style. Don’t know how she does it. I just say, «Gloria, do whatever you think is best.» She uses her expert judgment to concoct the style. I regularly receive compliments. Won’t trust my haircuts to anyone else.
I have observed that the other hair stylists have their own loyal customers too. The salon’s atmosphere hums with friendliness and professionalism.
Her salon offers good service and fair prices. If you’re looking for snobby chic — like the Elizabeth Arden Red Door spa, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a medical spa — this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a friendly place with good service, voila!
I have had facials, massages, pedicures, manicures here and they were all done well. As with the haircuts, prices are fair and reasonable.
I love to shop the jewelry at the entrance. Sometimes I buy a gift for myself or for family and friends.
Never had a problem making an appointment and service was prompt.
Overall, I would highly recommend this salon for those seeking value, honesty, good service in a home-​y, old fashioned setting.

If you don’t mind going to a cramped, dirty and outdated salon, then Gloria’s is your place. When you first walk in you enter into a jewelry store with loads of junk for sale. The salon part is next to it. The waiting area consists of 2 small chairs right next to stylists’ chairs where you get blown in the face with the blowdryers being used to style customers. The sink area is antiquated and extremely uncomfortable. You need to have your neck supported with towels under it because the chairs aren’t meant for the sinks. You don’t get the feeling of cleanliness or friendliness. I wouldn’t use the bathroom because everything seemed dirty and the towels smelled. One lady came in to get her hair done for a special occasion but wasn’t happy with the result. The stylist did it again but then tried to charge her twice. Why this salon is still in business is a mystery to me. It really doesn’t deserve 1 star. It deserves 5 YUCKS! There are much better salons in the neighborhood that are brighter, cleaner and friendler.

i cant stress it enought. When looking for a facial spa, scrutinize the materials used how they maintain cleanliness. My experience in Chinatown is not something I’d like to remember.
I recommend Gloria Cabrera’s salon on 23^rd street. They have great summer deals. $ 50 for an hour facial in a clean, cozy environment.
My Japanese friend and I had services done on their 5^th avenue store last year, but I think they moved to Madison Ave.
I’d stick to 23^rd because i like their reasonable prices (negotiable too). Love love those organic facial products. It smells so good and the massage was relaxing.
Today, I needed a deep facial and paid only $ 50. That includes extractions and all. Got into a monday schedule for a more leisure treatment, a few extras for a few bucks more like scalp massage and pedi.
