I would rate this less than a star if I could. The staff is so rude and disgusting. The security gaurds are such disgusting people you wouldn’t believe it. They take pleasure in persecuting the people on line and they selectively pick who goes in or not. Wether you pay to get in or you’re just on line, they’ll only pick u if they want too. Do not go here if you want to have a good night because that will definitely not happen here.

Over charged my credit card for some reason. We only ordered about max 4 shots and then the bill was $ 600??? How is that possible?

Clubs are my favorite thing to do, but my experience here wasn’t awesome. Firstly, the music was too loud. I know, I know, it’s a club, but this was louder. I was near the front(opposite side of toll from DJ) and trying to tell my friend what drink to get me, and had to yell a few times. At a table(last one in back) it was worse. If you get a table with friends you aren’t supposed to even be able to converse without screaming at the top of your lungs? Not true. Now the music was ok, not even great so I would’ve rather chatted and listened than have to give 100% focus to the music. I kept hoping as it got later mixes and beats would get better, but they didn’t. Now price wise is the worst part. 2 mixed drinks and 3 beers was $ 120. Maybe we were overcharged, we were 2 girls though, so I doubt it. Lastly, people were not social there. I’ve never gone to a club where there is no dance floor to mingle around with strangers and just all dance. This place was either you had a table or you stood in aisle ways. Maybe the pit was supposed to be the dance floor, but when we went down there it was just groups at tables and no one was dancing. Weird because we went to the club because we wanted to dance. I won’t ever go back here. Lower East Side has much more to offer for way better-everything.

Simply horrid. We have been to 1Oak, PH-D, Le Bain, etc. and never had a problem with getting in(1 guy and 1 girl). We knew from looking at Gilded Lily’s instagram that this place was a «step down» from those, but wanted to give it a try anyway for the gold interior. BIG mistake. We got there a little before midnight and there was no line outside, just a group of three bros ahead of us. They were not on a list but were let in. There were three bouncers, who harassed my friend because of her Mexican ID — they asked why she didn’t have her passport. I guess every person from Mexico or outside the U.S. is supposed to carry around their passport waiting for people to demand, «papers please.» They turned us away threatening to call the cops(yeah right). It seems like this relatively new establishment(opened 2014) is trying to boost their creds by employing nasty bouncers who are allegedly«exclusive.» But this is one of the rare instances where we apparently were overdressed — check out pictures of the usual crowd and you can tell the dress code must be frump city. With so many choices in this area, there’s no reason to put up with the BS we experienced at Gilded Lily. Never coming back.

ZEROSTARS !!! Poor management and beyond rude staff meanwhile the club is nothing special very small and cramped it’s like a dungeon in there. Apparently they don’t clean bathrooms since a friend of mine went missing and woke up in the bathroom stall. Absolutely disgusting how do you close down a night club without checking and not to mention cleaning the bathrooms. I hope this club gets shut down by the city and my friend files a law suit. Don’t come here unless you want to hear attitude from a pathetic doorman who thinks he’s a tough guy. No respect from management whatsoever. Will never return. There’s countless other options in NYC and this should never be one of them. I frequent clubs in meatpacking all the time and this one is definitely not up to par with the rest.

One of my favorite clubs — easy to get in with a promoter. The music is hit or miss though, last time I went the second DJ took it back to the late 1900s far too many times. Let’s keep it at modern hip hop next time please. The first DJ, a female, was really great though. This club gets the most fun around ½ AM usually. It’s not too big, but has a decently sized dance floor and cubbies at the tables so you don’t have to pay for coat check.

Everyone who works here was extremely rude! They should hire people who are not miserable at their jobs, not my fault you still work at a club. I went on a Saturday night and the DJ was horrible! The club was tiny and the décor was outdated. The crowd was also a sucky crowd… I would not go back.

So I went on a Thursday night and I met a promoter before he told me to mention«Johnny Quicks.» I was excited! when I get to the door there was a line. Some people were told $ 50 to get in, others $ 100 tabs and myself $ 30… Wtf. I walk to the lower level … Yeah it’s where the club was located. I get my beer with a friend of mine… Total…$ 23.95! Yes, for 2beers!!! That’s insane! not even Vegas venues do this. A few mins later I see the promoter with his buddy and tells me with the friend of mine to confirm at the door to see if I said«Johnny Quicks.» … Wtf what kind of system is this? So We walk back upstairs to «confirm» and the promoter tells the door man… Did they pay$? Wtf wtf wtf!!! This is the worst experience and service I had! no Hospitality at all… Forgot to mention there was a $ 5 service charge for every entry when using your credit card so with that being said be ready to expect an unwanted terrible unforgettable experience at this place… I don’t even want to get to talk about the design and and how small this place is… Plain and simple don’t even bother going there.

I will never go back to this club. This African American tall bouncer harassed me and all my friends with my ID, and they called my friend a faggot. Super rude.

85 dollars for four drinks?! I don’t care if it’s NYE, especially when there was already a $ 50 entry fee. Dance floor was great though.

I don’t review but damn. $ 48.00 for 4 coronas… DJ was playing from phone… Even with a facelift downstairs the prices are so skewed it would be worth it. I use to bartend at a rooftop looking at the Empire State Building with outdoor seating and the beer was only $ 8.

Thanksgiving– a celebratory day where everyone is thankful for the great, sincere, honest and empowering people in their lives. Thanksgiving Eve– a day in which friends, family and loved ones gather together in order to celebrate the exact things stated above. The Gilded Lilly, and it’s underhandedly shady business conduct, personified the exact opposite of all of those characteristics. They sold tickets online that were, in effect, licenses to wait outside in the freezing cold. For two hours, they refused to let any one in the door who would not pay an exorbitant additional fee. If you wanted to get in, the ticket would not suffice. If you wanted to get in, you had to pay an additional $ 150 at the door, per person. Nowhere online did they state these conditions. Hundreds of unsuspecting individuals, seeking to celebrate a holiday, were unduly defrauded by these crooks. They sold tickets, refused to let people in, and then, allowed the line to build up, only to leverage the weather and time against customers– whom they intentionally agitated. Don’t want to wait? Oh you’re cold? Well 150 dollars per person can change that. If not, you aren’t getting in and you are beat on your ticket either way! Way to go Gilded Lilly! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

Gilded Lily? What does that name even mean? That’s the weirdest combination of words I can think of. The door is incredibly rude. I asked about a table and I got direct three times to another person.(Went from a staff to someone at the bar, to someone just inside at the door who told me to go talk to someone outside). Really? I had already gotten in, and we were trying to figure out our situation but no one really bothered to care about our table. There’s better out there.

Horrible! Don’t even bother. They wanna act all«high class» and didn’t let us in when the promoter for THEIR place is 300 pounds?!! Really? He must’ve not been that important to them if he turned away 6 girls. No wonder why this place has horrible reviews

The bouncers at the front door are very inappropriate. One in particular sexually harassed me in the line and asked if he could«eat that booty». As a customer I feel it is inappropriate to have this kind of behavior while trying to promote a positive environment. Although gilded lily has had good reviews as far as club scene, it is no where to be scene if you are interested in being respected and treated right in any regard.

Have been wanting to try for a while. Used a promoter, easy to get in. The dj was very good on a thursday night, and it really got going around 1am. Its beneath monarch room, they do a good job of keeping the crowd classy and well dressed

I booked a table for 8 people and the bouncer would not let 7 of my guests in simply because«he decided who went in and who didn’t.» Beyond disappointed. This is not such a high end club and I have never had such problems. Extremely unprofessional and will never go back again. The doorman simply stated«pay an extra grand and il let them in.» Never go. Terrible experience. This was my birthday. After my guests were refused at the door bc of «they didn’t meet the criteria,» I had to leave and find a last minute dive bar to have some drinks. Never go here. This place is terrible.

You’re In Da Club. And It’s Getting Hot In Herre. And then pretty quickly you’re like«Jesus, where am I and what goddamn decade is it?» The DJ owes me an apology. As for the crowd, I was there on a Saturday, and the crowd was not terribly noteworthy.(I believe the doofus at the door used the phrase«filled with models,» which was definitely not the case.) Nowhere near good enough to offset the music. Lotta top-knotted club dudes. Finally, the beer selection: three varieties of trash. Steer clear, I say.

Stopped by after dinner for some beers and did not try any food. The bar had really nice service and friendly waiters. My friend and I both ordered beers and enjoyed our selves. Next time id like come back and try the food.

So… I showed up at this place on what I believe to be was the opening night with 10 hot girls, and a couple of guys. All of us dressed well and looking fine. Our crew had just had dinner at No. 8, which is pretty tough to get into in the first place, but for some reason we made the cut there. Anyhow: On to Gilded Lily we went, and up to the velvet rope, where we were standing in the cold, being looked at like a bunch of under aged punks. The door policy was really Russian Roulette style. I was let in and my male friend and one or two others. It felt like an eternity before the rest of the group was downstairs with us to join us at the table. I’m used to be let in as a group, especially when with a promoter, so that was a bit odd. Was it an issue with ratio, looks? I didn’t get it. The place itself: First of all, the venue is big & beautiful. Also at a great location, as it is right between Dream, Electric Room, Avenue and 1Oak. The Raven is around the corner too. So if you don’t like it here, you can walk right on. That’s exactly what I did after an hour of Gilded Lily. Décor: There is lots and lots of GOLD inside this place. The light fixture had interesting led lighting in clear tubes, giving it the look of a sparkling flower gem with its light show. The floor: Wow! Really pretty. Like an epoxy floor with gold all over. Definitely a nice touch. I like the free coat check. It’s so nice when you don’t have to look for money when you just try to get rid of your coat. That was a good start. And yes, it was nice and warm inside, especially after we dealt with the cold outside. It definitely made us appreciate the warmth a lot more. See, a silver lining right there! Bathrooms: Not easy to find. Look for a door across the bar. A sign would be handy, guys!!! When you finally find that door, you will realize that it is unisex. I’m personally not a big fan of fixing up my make up while standing next to a guy. It’s kind of my private moment that I prefer not to share. It just doesn’t feel ladylike. Crowd: Young, cool, well dressed, good looking.
