I like Fred Perry but the quality of their clothing has really started to dip. The polos fade very quickly and the button ups rip at the elbow very easly. The staff at this store is very hit or miss. Depending on who’s working there they are either very helpful or just don’t care that you’re there at all. I wish I could give a better review but the price is way to high for such mediocre quality clothing.

Usually, I can’t spend more than five minutes in a clothing store. I get overwhelmed, annoyed, I hate trying things on– I do NOT enjoy shopping, UNLESS I’m in Fred Perry and Jackie is helping me. I can basically walk in, say hi to her, and she’ll set me up with a fitting room packed with clothes that she knows I will like. If you hate shopping, but love clothes and helpful, NICE, stylish sales people like Jackie, who actually know how to style an outfit, go to Fred Perry in Soho.

‘Orrible! Of the entire stock, only two items were Made In England. Oi! What is a workin’ class ‘ero to do with Chinese bother-boots? Bloody ‘ell!

I utterly LOVE Fred Perry clothes. I have just under 30 Fred Perry polos. I definitely love the brand — The Covent Garden store is clean, well organized and great to shop at. This NYC outpost has the same great clothes but even more super expensive(due to the Pound to dollar markup) and the staff is super attitudey. The were too busy talking about the great band they saw last night and their personal life to actually as if we needed help. Also the day we came they had new stock all over. Pet peeve of mine: do your restocking off hours, it shouldn’t be all over the sales floor while you are open!

The sales associate was incredibly friendly and helpful tonight. At the end I felt bad I didn’t buy anything. I love Fred Perry, but I’m on a budget right now and there wasn’t much on sale. I’ll check out the surplus shop this weekend.

I this place. I bought a couple of items and sales team was awesome! I couldn’t decide on something so they made me flip a coin. Ahhaha — that was my dorky moment. The team was so friendly and super super helpful! I will definitely go back, its worth every single penny to have Fred Perry in your life, but when the folks in the store are real nice and helpful and friendly, it also helps to go back again and again!!! THANKs guys.(Girl with bright red lipstick — that i didn’t catch her name cause i was so excited to leave the store and go home to sport my new gear) : — /

After becoming a bit of a Perry head a few years ago in one of my fashion transformations, I would’ve thought that I would be gushing over this place like I expected with rockstar-esque fawning. What I actually got: A decently curated selection of clothing, super friendly staff, and some unique very high end made-in-england/scotland pieces. Things were well accessible, and they had quite a bit of a boutique shopping method with stocking, and the store overall was welcoming to just pop in. I like this, I really do, but at the same time, I honestly couldn’t justify to myself to buying more than three items because they just didn’t have what I wanted. Boo! Get more stuff, Fred Perry! I want to buy more, more, MORE! Be forewarned, that even with the sale prices, it’s easy to drop a LOT of coin here. I think I ended up blowing 300 bucks on 3 tops. At least that’s what Mint is screaming at me for. I guess I’ll have to take a trip to Poseurs out in California to get my gigantic Fred Perry Mothership feeling. That being said, I’m going to make sure I always hit up this location every time I’m in NYC.

This shop does a nice job mixing of classic Mod pieces with new designs. The service is good and the selection too. Agree with other posts… check to see where the garment is made, especially if you’re going for a piqué polo shirt. The English made measured in chest size are much better quality than the boxier S-M-L sizes.

Getting«Freds» has always been a trick in DC. Few stores have carried them over the years, and the presence of counterfeits makes getting them on-line dodgy at best. I was stoked over having a real-live Fred Perry STORE one could actually go to and try them on! Visited this store when I was in NYC last month, and glad I went. I’m anything but keen on the«boutique-ing» of the village and environs, and was leery that this would just be another trendy shop(staffed by «more fabulous than thou» employees) with the Fred Perry name on top. Luckily I was wrong. The shop was attractive but warm and comfortable, not TOO swanky. The guys working there were VERY knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful without trying to sell me the entire shop. The place was well stocked, and what you didn’t see on display they had in the back. They tactfully guided me away from sizes/colors that didn’t flatter my slightly expanded 48-year old slim frame(originally started buying Freds when in my 20’s). They even listened to(and seemed to enjoy) my stories as a 1980’s mod dandy riding around on in DC on a Lambretta and playing the Vox organ in a mod/garage band. Although there were some«made in China» shirts, they also had a good supply of gen-yoo-wine UK made shirts as well. Have to say though, even the Chinese made shirts seemed of pretty good quality, designed like they should, and looked right when trying it on. I had a great time at the shop, bought two shirts, and had an excellent experience. No bargains to be found price-wise, but not outlandish for what I was getting. GREAT that we FINALLY have a Fred Perry store stateside, and these guys aren’t resting on their laurels about it.

I had such a great time visiting this store. I only took a look at the womens section and there was a lot of beautiful chic items where 30% off which was a treat. I bought a womens button up. It was made in Portugal but I believe FP items made in Portugal are just as good as the items made in England. Just stay away from the items made in China. To any FP fan: you will leave the store with something.

I can’t believe I was so lucky to be visiting NY right after this place opened. This is the only Fred Perry store in the U.S. They have a great selection of styles and in man-sized sizes(I’m talking to you fellow XXL’s out there). Super friendly and helpful staff-thanks Grace! Scored the 100thFP anniversary polo, ball cap, and a cool tie. I WILL be ordering from the west coast soon…
