Came here tonight for the first time and it’s definitely cheap, but as another review noted, it doesn’t seem very Clean or sanitary though it has an a rating posted. Staff is polite and DOES speak English. I got the beef tripe noodles and it came Out a few minutes after I ordered. Definitely nothing to write home about and tasted pretty much like any other noodles I could’ve ordered for about $ 7 in Chinatown. Ordered the pork and chive dumplings and those took about 5 – 10 minutes to cook and tasted much better than the noodles(which by the way had nasty tasting beef tripe). The dumplings are very filling but not cheap on the meat. They are also not super thick in terms of the dumpling wrapper, which I liked. Can get the dumplings fried or boiled.

Flavorful broth, and an ample amount of al dente hand-pulled noodles. Make sure to get the spicy oil with chili flakes(not the sriracha sauce) as a side condiment. It has a slightly smokey, nutty flavor to it and adds a nice kick to the noodles. I only wish they included a little more meat. The oxtail noodle soup only had about three pieces of meat in it. Service is extremely quick.

Get to the Chase: Pros: 1) Decent amount of seating in the back(about 20 – 40 people) 2) Quick service 3) Super bargain prices with lots and lots of noodles :) Only $ 6+ 4) They have hand pulled noodles, which aren’t rubbery or crunchy like your instant ramen houses 5) Plenty of flavor Cons: 1) Not much meat for the short rib bowl 2) Didn’t seem too clean, although it has an A rating

Very good noodles, but the atmosphere is not as fun as Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles. Not sure if it’s their Feng Shui or the décor, but it is always quiet. I love this place for their food, but once I discovered Tasty, I kind of converted. I do enjoy the food, but as hangout place where I bring my friends, I’d say Tasty beats Food Sing.

Solid, no-frills, hand pulled noodle place. The noodles themselves are among the best I’ve had in Chinatown: thin yet very chewy, they keep perfectly well separated in the bowl, and maintain all their chewiness from start to finish. Just perfect. The broth is rich and dark, although not particularly remarkable in flavor[1]. The ingredients were good: both the beef noodle($ 6.00) and the pork chop noodle($ 6.50) were tasty. I wish the bowl featured more vegetables than just Chinese spinach, and less MSG. Ambiance/décor is that of a high school cafeteria; service as fast as it is brisk. The place seems to be very popular among little kids, so it can get noisy. — — — — — — - [1] Hint: tons of MSG.

Linh H. is absolutely right. Try the — incredible — Fuzhou wonton soup for $ 2.50.

Why is Tasty Hand-Pulled Noodles so popular when Food Sing 88 clearly make better noodles? I’ve tried them both. FS88 has better broth. Clearer and cleaner flavors. The noodles are better, not mushy with just the right amount of elasticity. Extra beef is $ 2 and it will surely fill you up. Be prepared to point at menu if you don’t speak Chinese though.
