Fishman Isadore

I live in the 599 W 190^th building. The application process was quick and easy with the management company. My super is amazing. My building is always clean and secure. Living in a building run by Fishman Isadore is great!

I visited more than 10 apartments before signing a lease with them for a place at Elmhurst Queen. The apartment is large, sunny, and the building was well maintained. The super was good, and the rent was reasonable. I only had chance to talk to the office once or twice during a period of 3 years; my impression was largely positive. They handled things in a very timely manner.
I had to move out since I bought a condo myself. Will certainly miss the old apartment.

I tried to contact this place about a listing I found in Craiglist — called and email and haven’t heard back. must be SCAM.

I’ve dealt with lots of landlords in my 32 years in Manhattan, and these guys are by far the best, most decent, and nicest people I’ve encountered. They are extremely straightforward and have a genuine interest in finding good people who want to STAY in their buildings. Therefore, their rents are very reasonable and the people who live around you tend to be very decent people. I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a nice apartment uptown (I’m in Hamilton Heights), in Jackson Heights (their building there is amazing), or in the Bronx. They have many buildings, and from what I’ve seen, their standards of maintenance and upkeep are consistently very high.

I agree with all the other reviews. I’ve lived in their Jackson Heights building for the last five years and have lived in THREE different apartments. All of those moves were due to my personal life and the management company made it easy. Folks who work there are responsive and helpful.
In addition — there is an INCREDIBLE super at the JH building. If there’s anything I will miss when I move in November, it’ll be him. He keeps the building clean and is always available for repairs or help doing whatever. He keeps an eye on everything and has even helped me dig my car out of the snow over the winter.
If you’re interested in a GIANT one bedroom, close to the subway hub in Jackson Heights for a reasonable price — give them a call.

If you are looking for information on F&F Real Estate, this is it.
I had little luck (actually none) on my web search in regards to F&F Real Estate. No website, no listings, nothing. I did a google map street view and the vague image left me skeptical. Could my Craigslist find be a fake? (Highly likely.) As a result, I had mental images that once I got off the subway I would be jumped for my SSN, bank check, and iPod.
F&F Real Estate/​Isadore Fishman is legit. Their office is located at the street level of a very big apartment complex in Washington Heights. The neighborhood is safe and the office is just a few blocks from the subway.
You have to ring the doorbell to be let in, and even then access only goes so far as standing in the doorway unless you have an appointment. I think their windows are bullet proof. I had an appointment with F&F and they were very nice and thorough. Actually so much I felt like I was being interviewed for a co-​op. They own a few buildings and like to meet/​screen and get to know their tenants.
It’s a bit of a pain to have to go all the way uptown to meet with F&F but they are pretty efficient and your time will not be wasted.
