Ya definitely not the best pizza. This place is happening only cause it is right in the middle of all the other action it lady me disappointed and lacking of satisfaction for a New York slice. There are better places then this in New York they are just off the path of the major crowds and tourist attractions.

So far we’ve tried about 5 different pizzerias and this one is our favorite. we tried several slices with different toppings and we really just enjoyed the Buffalo chicken one the most out of all of them. highly recommended it!!! It can get a little pricey but it’s well worth it! Tried the spinach and broccoli and it could use some salt and extra parmesano. The pepperoni with Italian sausage was delicious! Came to eat here around 1 am and was still pretty busy but we got attended fairly quickly. The staff was friendly and fast. Will be going back.

Pizza was okay. Place looked like a typical NYC take out café. Pricing matched the size of the pizza.

My favorite pizza spot in Times Square & all of NYC. The white pizza is the best I have ever had and every time I’m in town this is my first stop. They deliver to me at the Today Show when I am outside at 2am and always with a smile. I’ve never gotten anything but amazing service. The slices are cheap considering it’s in the heart of Manhattan. Two slices, one cheese and one white come to about $ 9.00. You may think that’s expensive for two slices but these slices are HUGE. They have restrooms for use by customers, not something you find easily in the city. Two thumbs way up for amazing food and customer service!!!

Been here twice! Once back in 2014 my first visit to NYC and knew I had to go back If I ever made it back to NYC! Well just as I remembered the first time I had their pizza I thought it was the best damn pizza I’ve ever had and the second time was the best damn pizza I’ve ever had for the second time! Highly recommended it. Bonus was the cute pizza guy who was flirting with me! just kidding!

Hubby and I had to get NYC style pizza before heading back home so we randomly stopped here. The line to order and pay went by quickly but the only hitch was they went out of order when passing out the warmed pizzas. The guy behind us got his before us just because his friends ordered ahead of us. That is just bad customer service. Since this was a random stop by we probably won’t come back again even though the pizza was good.

Not sure why they say they’re famous, because I sure don’t think they are. Maybe we came at the wrong time, but it was just very disappointing. The pizza looked like it was sitting there for over ½ an hour. Costco’s pizza is way better than here!

The pizza here was pretty good but there were not many choices at all. I wanted white pizza and they didn’t have any so a got margarita and some kind of supreme with everything. The margarita was really good, better than the supreme as I didn’t care for the weird sausage on that one. We decided to dine in and the place was pretty much border lining disgusting. The tables were cramped and dirty. During our meal some guy with a mop pretended to try to clean and then dripped dirty water trail all over. He was getting told to fix it as we left. The pizza was pretty good so I would say it’s an ok choice if you’re in the area and need a slice. But I’d reccomend to get it to go.

Ouch! Some of the reviews for this Ray’s are a little harsh. I stop at this stop every time that I am in NYC, and I have always found their slices to be yummy and filling. Sure you’re going to find better pie at John’s Pizza or maybe even another Ray’s, but the pizza here is a solid nauch any day of the week. And unlike some other joints, this place does serve up the pie at warp speed. The guys behind the counter were also very friendly and helpful with my pizza selection. Pizza Supreme style is really the way to go if you want to get your money’s worth. All in all, you could really do worse than this Ray’s. It’s making me pizza hungry just thinking about it.

One of the must do’s for me while visiting NYC this weekend was have a slice of their pizza. I was in the Time Square vicinity and found Ray’s on the Unilocal scope. I have heard of Ray’s and many imitations in the past. I chose two slices of combo pizza with a bottled water and my tab was a whopping $ 15! I guess this is called NYC tourist pizza! The texture and crust of the pizza was not very good and different than what I was expecting. I actually saw the lower rating of this place but decided take a dive anyways. Wish I could spring back from my dive! I saw some other smaller pizza places around the Times square after advertising for pizza at lower prices. I think you can do better in NYC for pizza but this place caters to the tourist who probably wont be back.

Worst pizza I’ve had in New York City … was in Famous Original Ray’s Pizza. This busy pizza joint just off Times Square should really be renamed to Infamous Ray’s Pizza, cause it was T to the E to the R-R-IBLE. Pizza by the slice was the choice for Olivia Z. and me. I got a Cheese Slice and she got a Meaty Combo. The cardboard crust, slimy sauce, and cowardly cheese on the infamous slice of Ray’s Pizza wasn’t saved by crushed red pepper or my deep late-night desire to eat NY-style pizza. I ate half, tossed the rest, and headed out in search of pizza a little less famous, but a whole lot better.

While walking we saw the line outside of Ray’s and knew it was going to be good! The slices were huge, hot and delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly for us tourists. The food came out quick and was reasonably priced. Yes, you can get cheaper pizza in New York but we got great quality. I ordered the multi cheese and a Coke and so did my friend and it came to 12 bucks… not too shabby. The only downfall was the bathroom. There are only two and they are down these creepy, steep stairs at the very back of the restaurant… and since it was crowded… I waited about 20 minutes for the bathroom. I will definitely be back when I come visit. :)

After traveling to NY for my personal pizza mecca, I took recommendations from many friends and traveled to many well known pizzerias from Manhattan to Brooklyn. At the recommendation of a more portly friend I have, I decided to add this place to the list as I was sure he must know of a few good slices. Sadly though, this was among the weakest places we went to. In terms of taste it was very average for New York. While my bacon pepperoni slice was decent, I’m going to say something that is will be pretty unpopular… ehem… «I’VEHADBETTERPIZZAINLA.» At least for the price paid. $ 6.75 for a single slice!!! I realize that it is right near Times Square, so you must have great foot traffic, but c’mon! There’s pizza places not even 2 blocks from you that will sell only slightly inferior pizza for $ 1/slice. No need to screw your customers like we’re your junkies trying to get a score of heroin. Now with all that said, because the taste was actually decent, I can’t in good conscience give a one star, but man, if the quality had been even 5% worse, I would have not hesitated in calling it like it is… a rip off.

I wasn’t sure why a pizza place in Timesquare had a 2 star average, but it quickly became apparent once we encountered the human service. The younger guy at the counter taking pizza orders has a serious attitude problem and has no business interacting with people, even in the fast food industry. It’s one thing if somebody’s rude with me, but seeing it happen to a friend is a different story. Some of the other staff wasn’t much better. What truly impressed me was how consistent the terrible oven man was at dissastifying customers. Everyone around me, including the nice people I sat next to had a foul experience ordering food. Thanks Ray’s for the easy review, I didn’t have to think twice about rating this location one star.

At 1:30 in the a.m., this looks like 4 stars to me. But taking into account the late hour and the erosion of discernment, I’ll knock that back a notch. I’m just glad they’re open and the pizza’s hot and good. I do wonder why I’m paying over $ 6 a slice, but at this hour I’m not really complaining. Because — it’s 1:30 am and I’m eating a really good slice of hot NY pizza.

SCAM&FRAUD. They automatically assume everyone that isn’t from N. Y is a dumb arse that can’t read. The big girl at the register tried to charge me $ 12.00 for one slice just like she charged the older woman in front of me. I told her that I was only getting one slice and it shouldn’t be $ 12.00, she gave me a bad look and charged me the correct amount. As I see in the reviews below… They are up to something here and it needs to be reported and stopped. This left a bad taste in my mouth or else maybe the pizza could have actually been good.

Ate here late night because it one of the few places open at 2am. Cost $ 30 with tip and tax to get linguini with white clam sauce and a couple slices of pizza. Can’t say anything about the linguini since my wife ate that. The pizza was edible and not greasy but the crust was chewy and tasted like it was reheated multiple times before I got it. It was delivery to our hotel room and faster than they said. They promised 30 minutes. We got it at maybe just over 20 minutes later. This is NYC so I expect to pay more but that’s pretty steep.

Our medium pizza was HUMONGOUS, THIN, CHEESYPACKED& A GREASETRAP(all these being positive descriptors). However, we were charged twenty eight dollars for this medium cheese pizza as well as a beer which seems a leeeeettttllleeeee on the overpriced side. BUT, when in Rome right? We got this as an over sized late night snack for 3 and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Worth the splurge when you want a nice thin crust slice for a few folks.

Service is poor. Didn’t need the extra lip on wether his pizza was fresh or not… meaning how recently made the pepperoni pizza esp if it’s coming from under the counter and then reheated in the oven. Over all pizza was decent, dough was a bit chewy. with so many options for pizza there are others that would do the job better and get service with a smile… paid $ 4.19 for one slice of pepperoni. kinda steep for 1 slice I think.

For NYC this pizza is nothing special. It’s ok tasting, the slices are large and the service is pretty quick(not friendly, just quick). Got a white slice of pizza with spinach, ricotta and mozzarella. It was decent. A little salty but in a flavorful way and a bit oily as well. Definitely would go to another place over this if you are looking for good NY pizza. This place was convenient as it’s near Times Square.
