i’m writing about the clinton street location. top notch pastries, and if someone brings me some i’m delighted. i won’t go into the store though. sometimes i wish the proprietor of a place would stand in line themselves, or be waited on, just to see how paltry the service is. the service just doesn’t work — and i doubt it is exclusively the fault of the people working there, it just isn’t designed for service and nobody’s ever given it any consideration. there’s a few places like that, the gelato place on orchard comes to mind, and the two boots on clinton, and a few others. anyway, you won’t find me there, or maybe doubtfully, but i try to avoid it. i tried the other location, is it on bowery? nicer but also not set up well and thus not the most comfortable experience — the poor service person has to run back and forth because of the huge obstacle the counter creates! but if you are going maybe you can bring me something?
