Love this place! Best chopped salads in midtown. They have excellent service, very quick and all the employees are super friendly. Their hot and cold food is also fantastic. Everything is always very fresh and a great variety. Fast, easy and yummy. Don’t waste your time at Cosi in Paramount Plaza — EZ Deli’s food is 1,000x better!

Ironically enough I avoided this plce for quite some time because I was told it was pricey for a buffet style place. Bocca is cheaper and I just prefered it. I finally went in this week and I instantly regretted waiting so long. They still ARE pricey, but there was just so much to choose from. There was both a hot and cold buffet table which had it’s own array of food choices. I only wish I had started comign here sooner!

Right near times square, it was a convenient place to get a quick bite late at night. The deli looks a bit sketch, but the food isn’t half bad! Deli sandwiches are pricey(~9 $) but they are decent sized and is served with a heaping of meat. I got the Italian sub, and the bread was nice and soft, the meat seemed fresh, and the jalapenos were nice and spicy. They also had containers so you can make your own salads, get sushi, or even chinese food! But these items don’t look too appetizing. Service was kinda mehhh tho, the guy behind the counter was kind of rude, and the cashier stares at you funny. But at least its quick and you can be back out on your way!

Excellent! This place is right around the corner from where I work and I go there frequently, and they never screw up an order! Prices are good, and the people behind the deli counter are very friendly! Nine times out of ten though, there are huge lines. Its annoying but worth it. Highly recommended!

Excuse me. I don’t know ANY delis in the City that charge extra for the basics like lettuce and tomato. Lunch choice: egg salad sandwich; I asked for extra tomatoes which the guy put in for me. The sticker price: $ 7.25 WTF!!! I asked the Korean lady at the counter(as they are usually nicer to fellow Koreans) about why an egg salad sandwich on a roll costs $ 7.25(in Korean of course), she asks another cashier who goes to back to the sandwich guy then comes back to me and gives me the low down on the math with an attitude like I’m in grade school. «Listen, it’s $ 5.75 for the sandwich plain, $ 0.75 for tomatoes, additional $ 0.75 for extra tomatoes.» UM…does anyone see something wrong with this? I argued with them for 5 mins which was rather heated saying that I’ve been buying their sandwiches for many years and have never seen this done. The owner just stood there near this back and forth, and let them lose a customer over $ 0.75. Good going EZ deli. Good going. It wasn’t even the lunch peak hours… I hope the people who work around the area starts to realize how bogus their pricing is and stop going. Let them have the innocent bystander tourists give them business. Thanks for the far from EZ service EZ deli.

Such good food. Love their buffet style lunches. It’s priced by the pound. A bit expensive. However the food is fresh and very good. Also love their made to order fruit juices. Takes a bit of time but very good.

Go-to workday lunch or breakfast spot. The guys behind the counter are so friendly and also extremely fast. The salad bar is definitely the best deal in the area, as you can get a 5 topping salad with a soup for around $ 9.

Awesome breakfast sandwiches for cheap! I paid $ 3.50 for a bacon egg and cheese to die for! Can’t wait to try them out for lunch.

One of my favorite lunch spots in the area. Solid all-around. Good breakfast too. Very good salads with a lot of dressing options including fresh squeezed lemon which not every place has. The salad comes with a side soup which is a nice little side to help fill you up at lunch. The sandwiches are huge! The guys load it with chicken and cheese and you have the option of a whole wheat sub as well. The menu has every combination of sandwiches you can imagine or you can just tell them what you want on it. Very friendly staff. This is also my favorite breakfast place. The wraps are gigantic– They load it with egg and cheese. I get the Mexican special at least once a week(as it’s not the most healthy breakfast)…On a whole wheat wrap–«2» eggs(more like 3 or 4), avocado, pepperjack cheese, peppers/onions, and Salsa. They absolutely load the cheese on and its amazing. My favorite hang-over breakfast. Definitley recommend it for anyone looking for breakfast or lunch. Solid pricing as well.

Great NY Deli. I only had their breakfast but it was still great. The services is fast and the price is right. I had a sausage egg and cheese on a everything bagel and it was $ 3.59. That’s way less then what I pay for outside of NYC. Check this place out for a quick bite.

A regular lunch option for me. The sandwiches are excellent and the guys who put them together are friendly. The salad bar is also excellent with a a wide selection of choices. At the breakfast hour I often come to get a plate of fruit. Everything is fresh and ripe. They also have a salad option where they toss it together — not my style but it’s good. I don’t go for the hot food on the steam tray or the panini. If I could change one thing it would be the cashiers tendency to shout«NEXT!!!» before completing the current sale…

EZ Deli makes my midday decision making easy! EZ Deli is quickly becoming my go to lunch place on busy midtown days. With a cold salad bar, hot steam table, sandwiches, and salads, and a huge cold case for a variety of beverages, EZ Deli should have something for everyone. I religiously go for their salad bar and steam table combo, which is something like $ 9 a pound. Yes, its a bit expensive, even considering the neighborhood. But with the variety and quality of the food, I have learned to stop complaining. I can get cold spicy shrimp, avocados with dressing, roasted asparagus and portobella mushrooms, salmon, roast turkey, and other higher ticket items easily here, and they don’t seem to run out during peak hours. They also have California rolls, fried foods, pasta, and rices if you want your fillers. Everything I’ve had here has been tasty — and I’m a pretty harsh critic! EZ also does breakfast, which I’ve heard a lot about. and my coworker loves their sandwiches. I had a grilled cheese here once, which was satisfactory, but I’ll admit I haven’t tried anything more complicated. Navigating here can be a study in human nature, as it is super crowded from 12:15 to 1:30 pm and the storefront is narrow and deep. While I can usually get in and out in about 5 minutes, if you’re an indecisive one, you’re going to get shoved around a lot while you try to scope out the place. It can make one very claustrophobic.

Whenever I’m bored with options at the caf, EZ deli is a short walk around the block which gives me just enough time to think what I want to get. There is a wide selection of hot and cold serve yourself(by the pound) options, which are not bad, but not particularly good either. Café Duke’s is a bit more but higher quality in comparison. I usually alternate between the salad line or the sandwich line. The sandwiches are made lightning fast, especially at lunch time, when there is usually 3 guys working behind the deli counter. I tend to do for chicken salad, all white meat, and lightly dressed and seasoned, which is great if you dont want too much salt or mayo. I opt for caleslaw on top, with tomato, which rounds off my veggie intake :). total damage $ 7.75. Oh, and I think the place is run by Koreans, judging the well dressed ladies behind the cash register.

NYC deli egg salad sandwiches are an art. Perfection is difficult to achieve. EZ Deli came close. Close enough for this to probably become my go-to sandwich place during work hours, anyway. A «normal» egg salad sandwich is $ 5.50 — not sure what that includes. Mine, having mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon, and the egg salad on rye, was $ 7.50. I guess that’s a reasonable price for Times Square. They did not stint on the ingredients at all — the sandwich kept me full all day. The egg salad needed some more salt, and the bacon needed to be a little crunchier, but all in all, job well done.

EZ Deli is the closest thing to me having a cafeteria @ work. 4 stars are based on the reliability of the food and friendliness of the staff. So far no food poisoning. ;) Breakfast: Extremely reliable for breakfast sandwiches, eggs/omelets made to order. 5 stars. I’ve never touched the breakfast buffet at breakfast time but I generally don’t anywhere. Lunch: The cold cuts sandwiches here are great — always fresh and well made(they don’t skimp on anything and there’s a wide bread selection). The lunch buffet changes day to day but I’m generally able to find a few things that I’m interested in, including veggies.

typical midtown lunch-serving deli that serves offices. fast? yes efficient? yes tasty? yes pricey? no, decent, actually! clean? yes would i go back? I do almost every day. They have a lunch deal of buy 9 salads(they have a punch card) and get the 10th one free. yeah, i’ve been eating salad every day. it really helps that my salad is FREAKINGDELICIOUS. its one of those long salad bars where you choose your lettus, choose your toppings, they chop it, mix it and throw it in a bowl for you. YUM and fresh!

For a city deli, EZ Deli meets a lot of basic needs(much to my surprise). When you’re leaving an early show in the Theater District, and, much to your dismay, are both hungry, and the few restaurants you passed by aren’t yet open, listen to the 8 year old who points this place out: «look, food!» The deli is like one of those multi-accommodating delis you’d find in the Financial District. Speaking of basic needs: we each picked whatever we wanted from the hot bar, she got a mountain of fried rice and barbecued chicken, and I got a good surplus of grilled vegetables(squash, eggplant, zucchini) and roasted potatoes. That and a large bottle of ice tea came out to $ 10.81. Which was great, because the original plan was sushi… and said 8 year old doesn’t actually like sushi as we know it – she pokes out all the ingredients and eats the rice and nori. Yeah. Back to basic needs: there is some decent seating in the back. We sat next to a big big oven-spaceship looking contraption that was used for storage. I was afraid she’d turn the dial to «On» when I went to the bathroom. Speaking of bathrooms, they have one! And it’s clean. Good stuff. I probably won’t be a frequent customer, but it’s a good go-to place if you’re watching a play in the district.
